"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" - (2 Corinthians 5:17)I don't know about you, but I need to be reminded of this truth regularly. Paul wrote these words of encouragement to the Church at Corinth. They were one of the wickedest churches in Scripture, steeped in sin and idolatry. Yet Paul is reminding them here of their true identity, even though we're still in these bodies of flesh, stumbling and struggling, redemption is ours because of Christ Jesus. When God adopted us once and forever into His family, we got an entirely new future and a present identity to go along with it. Believer, you have been set free from the penalty of sin, you have gained an eternal inheritance and you've been granted God's Spirit to guide your heart into truth and remind you that you belong to Him. If you are in Christ, you are a new creation. If you are in Christ, redemption is your life story. If you are in Christ, you know that He's where the joy is!

This is a teaching series is designed for children and even taught by children. The 6th commandment. What does it mean? How do we obey it? Here's one way of looking at it.
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. - 2 Corinthians 5:17 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. - Gal 2:20 Have you ever pondered that? That you are a new creation. You’re not just some shiny new update of your old worn out self….but God says that if you have accepted Christ as your Savior, He has taken your heart of stone and given you a heart of flesh. You are a new creation! Christ lives in you! Now some of you might be thinking….ya know Dustin, I’ve heard that, and I read that….but it really is so hard for me to believe it because you just don’t know me. You don’t what goes through my crazy mind…and besides I keep doing the very things that I hate doing. I thought I was supposed to stop doing all those hurtful things but I haven’t. And to be honest there is a part of me that still likes my sin too much. Is that how you feel? Can I share with you that I get it. I get the fact that you have crazy things going through your mind, and I get it that you think that if someone really found out about the type of person you really are, no one would want to hang out with you. I’ve been there done that and bought way too many t-shirts in this area of my life. And then one day I found a scripture that pierced by soul. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. - James 4:8 Double-minded! OUCH! Ya know the truth will set you free but it hurts like crazy first. What does it mean to be double-minded? Listen to the show to find out!
