The simple act of mindful breathing has been shown to reduce stress, lower your heart rate and blood pressure, manage pain, decrease negative thinking, and more.Practical Tip: Throughout the day take 5 minutes to sit quietly. Focus your attention on your in-breath and out-breath. Be aware of cool air as it comes in your nose and warm air as it leaves.  Allow your breath to come and go naturally, slowly, gently.
