In his talk “Do You Know Why I as a Christian Believe in Christ?” Elder Corbitt bears beautiful testimony of Jesus Christ and the need for the Atonement. Here are some questions to consider as you study: Why do you believe in Jesus Christ? What are you doing to apply the doctrine of Christ in your life? Elder Corbitt teaches about the plan of salvation, the doctrine of Christ, and the importance of sharing these truths with others.
Bro. Ahmad S. Corbitt of the Young Men General Presidency made waves in 2022 with his devotional address decrying "Activism Toward the Church" (ATC). This April, he was sustained as a General Authority Seventy and gave his first Conference address, "Do You Know Why I as a Christian Believe in Christ?" And this one hits hard, too. Greg Matsen from the Cwic Show joins Matthew to talk about both of these timely talks and their application to today's crazy world.

Let us turn them to Jesus, who is their true advocate with the Father.”“Ask your parents or a leader later on, ‘Why did Jesus have to die?' And, brothers and sisters, I have a confession to make: despite all I thought I knew about Church doctrine, history, policy, and so on, the answer to this central question to our faith did not come so easily.” Link to General Conference Journal Edition: https://www.seagullbook.com/general-conference-addresses-journal-edition-april-2023.html?Category_Code=BOOKS
"Our hearts were drawn to the call of a prophet this April 2023 conference weekend. He reminded us that the easiest way to identify a follower of Christ is how compassionately that person treats other people. He told us that charity is the principal characteristic of a true follower of Christ, how charity defines a peacemaker. He promised us that if we would follow his counsel, we would arise as a spiritually strong woman of Christ. And then he told us the best is yet to come for those who spend their lives building up others. The prophet invited us to examine our discipleship, to make adjustments so that our behavior would be representative of a true follower of Jesus Christ. To live and interact with others in a higher, holier way. “I invite you to remember Jesus Christ. Pray to have the courage and wisdom to say or do what He would.” For the next six months, we plan to accept this invitation. In April and May, we will learn to UNDERSTAND HIS LOVE as we study the life and attributes of the PEACE GIVER. In June and July, we will study how to FEEL HIS LOVE as we find ways to experience PERSONAL PEACE. In August and September, we will discover how to SHARE HIS LOVE as we learn how to become PEACEMAKERS.Love gives second chances. Love asks, How can I help? Love is the welcoming in. Love doesn't stand higher, but meets people where they are. Love is never too good for someone. Love is full of grace. Love does not call attention to self. Love has an understanding heart. Love assumes the best. Love will not stand for injustice, helps carry the burden, creates trust, has high hopes and expectations. Love doesn't leave when things get tough.Love never fails. We look forward to spending the next six months with you!"

BRADGATE!! WHAT THE CHURCH MUST LEARN FROM THE FALL AND ATTEMPTED REHABILITATION OF BRAD WILCOX EPISODE 10A - THE STATE OF THE DISUNIONThere is so much to chew on as we process what Brad Wilcox, Elementary School Teacher, BYU Professor of Ancient Scripture (with no relevant qualifications whatsoever), internet sensation and Counsellor on the Young Men General Presidency has been teaching the youth of the Church, as revealed when his Alpine, Utah Tri-Stake Fireside on 6 February 2022 went viral. It laid wide open for all to see and hear the concerns about racism, sexism and anti-educationthought-stopping mind control that this podcast and many others have been discussing, and are driving huge numbers of once faithful members out of the Church. The amateur fundamentalist authoritarians perpetuating McConkie Mormonism ignorance have almost completed a take-over of LDS Church leadership and they are now relentlessly trying to drag the Church back to the future. Specifically they are dismantling hard-won concessions tomodernity and truth like the Gospel Topics Essay on Race and the Priesthood, and original foundational principles like teaching people correct principles and trusting them to govern themselves. I have several information and analysis-packed episodes edited and ready to go to try and do this all justice as the Mormon Civil War becomes even more intense and astonishing. This episode updates you on the First Presidency's response to my letter appealing my excommunication, the adventures of the Britvengers, and takes stock of where we are now with significant developments for good and bad in the recent April 2022 General Conference. The following BRADGATE!! episodes explore what Brad Wilcox taught the youth in the UK during Covid lockdown in 2020, the Alpine debacle, the attempt to rescue his reputation with an apology and then a double act with his black Presidency-colleague Ahmad S Corbitt, the ongoing history and developments of the LDS Church's institutional and doctrinal racistsegregation, and what Church members can actually do to hold the leaders doing all this to us accountable. We have always had the mechanism and the authority to replace them with people who know what they are doing... and what Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount, because that shouldn't be too much to ask if they really are going to be His Apostles!
Ahmad S. Corbitt, First Counselor in the Young Men General Presidency addressed the J. Reuben Clark Law Society at its Annual Fireside on January 21, 2022. He spoke about how the Lord calls upon lawyers to move forward His purposes in the latter days. Our mission: "We affirm the strength brought to the law by a lawyer's personal religious conviction. We strive through public service and professional excellence to promote fairness and virtue founded upon the rule of law."
