EXPLOSIVE EMOTIONSMEET THE AUTHOR Podcast: LIVE - Episode 172Originally aired Wednesday September 4,2024Featuring Author KALE SUDHOFFABOUT KALE: My name is Kale Sudhoff, and I am currently 19 years old. I am busy attending college to become an Elementary School Teacher and am working as an Enrichment teacher at a local Preschool. I am a typical teenager hanging out with friends, but in my free time I love to write and illustrate children's books. I have written and illustrated three children's books. In the Fall of 2020, when I was a Sophomore in High School, I released my first book, "Danny the Duck Heads South," and in the Spring of 2022, when I was a Junior in High School, I released my second book, "Danny and Kevin Conquer Camping." Throughout my school years, I have seen kids being excluded for being different or having a disability, so I wanted "Danny and Kevin Conquer Camping" to raise awareness for Limb Loss and Limb Difference. My latest book, "Stewart H. Quills and His Explosive Emotions" was released in the Fall of 2023. I am on a mission to inspire children to thrive, regardless of their challenges. I am currently working on my next book, "Born to Stand Out," to raise awareness for Hearing Loss. A portion of every book sale is donated to The Aktion Club, a local organization for people with disabilities. I have recently connected with Allie Gray, Miss Ohio's Teen 2024 and together we have founded Silent Opportunities, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and support for the hearing loss and deaf community. Our mission is to raise funds for the Ohio School for the Deaf and to award a scholarship to a local high school graduate impacted by hearing loss or disability.Links to watch or listen to all episodes at: https://indiebooksource.com/podcast

When someone in the industry seems to spend more time teaching others than working on their own work, we want to learn more. Elvis had the opportunity to take a 2 day hands-on course about pink layering on full arch zirconia and PMMA. The teacher was the wonderful Marina Caponigro (https://www.facebook.com/marina.ya.7). Of course, we had to have her on the podcast to learn about the technician behind the "fire in the belly". Marina talks about coming to America from the Ukraine to marry and work with a Prosthodontist, learning to do full arch restorations and perfecting the pink layering of composites and stains. It wasn't long before she was encouraged to teach others and travels the country teaching both technicians and clinical staff. Wanting to do more for others, Marina and her daughter opened the Smileology Group Dental Lab specializing in helping other labs create beautiful full arch restorations. A devastating incident unfolded in Dallas, Georgia, over the weekend as a beloved elementary school teacher lost her life in a domestic dispute. Jasmyn Victoria Lambert, a 37-year-old third-grade teacher at Still Elementary School in the Cobb County School District, was fatally shot in her own home. Her estranged husband, 42-year-old Tyrone Victor Lambert, now faces multiple charges, including murder and cruelty to children. The Paulding County Sheriff's Office reported that the tragic event occurred when a witness called 911 around midnight on Saturday to report a domestic dispute and home invasion. According to the witness, Tyrone Lambert forcibly entered the residence through the back door and proceeded to threaten multiple individuals with a firearm. Upon realizing that 911 had been called, Tyrone Lambert fled the scene on foot. Authorities immediately initiated the process of obtaining an arrest warrant and issued a "be on the lookout" alert for him and his vehicle to other law enforcement agencies. However, the situation took a harrowing turn when a witness made another call to police at approximately 7:12 a.m. to report that Tyrone Lambert had returned to the home with a firearm, once again entering through the same back door. Deputies who arrived at the scene heard gunshots before entering the residence and apprehending Lambert outside. Inside the home, they discovered Jasmyn Lambert with a gunshot wound. She was promptly transported to a hospital, but tragically, she succumbed to her injuries. Tyrone Lambert was taken into custody on suspicion of murder (family violence), malice murder, home invasion, criminal damage, cruelty to children, criminal trespass, possession of a firearm, aggravated assault, and obstruction, as per inmate records. In a statement, the Cobb County School District expressed its deep sorrow over the loss of Jasmyn Lambert, saying, "Jasmyn Lambert's big smile was welcoming to all, her classroom couldn't wait to see her every day. Our hearts go out to her family, friends, and the entire Still community who already miss her." It was revealed that a protective order had been filed against Tyrone Lambert, although it had expired at the time of the incident. Authorities have indicated that as the investigation progresses, additional charges may be filed in connection with this tragic and heart-wrenching case. The community mourns the loss of a dedicated educator and beloved member of Still Elementary School, while law enforcement continues to work diligently to ensure justice is served in this devastating case. In this episode, Wynne Leon is with co-host Vicki Atkinson and we are talking with author Pete Springer about his book, They Call Me Mom: Making a Difference as an Elementary School Teacher Pete, an elementary school educator for 31 years, tell us some heart-warming and also some heart-breaking stories that came from his years in the classroom. As he worked to educate kids and helped to raise a generation of decent people, he captures all the lessons he learned from the unfiltered goodness of children. He recalls his early days on the job – wanting to walk in and prove himself but also finding out how much on the job learning happens as a teacher. So he pays homage to how hard, and also necessary, it is for new teachers to be vulnerable and ask for help. Pete speaks to the level of trust that's necessary to connect with students to create a positive learning environment and it comes as no surprise that some of his former students still trust him enough to have their stories included in his book. At the end, we ask Pete about his thoughts about the future of education and also what he's working on. And he shows us that it's possible to teach through writing. This is a great episode about teachers, learning, and the best of community and collaboration when we come together to support both educators and students. We know you'll love it. Gospel Scripture: (all NIV) Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:24 “and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:25 (a) “God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood.” Hebrews 9:22 (b) “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:11 “Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.” John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Luke 15:10 says “In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” Ephesians 1:13–14 “And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession- to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:15–23 “For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” Ephesians 2:8–10 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God‘s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.“ Ephesians 2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.“ Philippians 1:6 “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

2.26.2023 - Mrs. Jane Dargatz, my Fourth Grade Teacher from Carol Stream Elementary School in Illinois, traveled out to see Yachtley Crew play at PALMS Casino in Las Vegas! She was accompanied by her Husband, along with Rene Eastin (who I met and have known since meeting her in Mrs. Dargatz's class) and her Husband Jason. It was an additional momentous occasion because my Dad and his girlfriend Kris were in town, and so was my girlfriend Kili'kina. As Jane brought out old books she's kept since her first days as a teacher, we cartwheeled a trip down memory lane looking at the class photos from our field trips of yesteryears. Rene and I found our youngerselves in a few actually! Jane had been on a mission to meet up with several former schoolkids during her brief stay there in Nevada and I was one of them! Iam honoured to be included on that itinerary! I was VERY surprised to hear about the particular unexpected directions different classmates took along the years. She kept up with all of them, it seemed. She remembered soo many of their names, parents'/siblings' names, the kids they went on to have, where they lived and what their careers are. I was impressed! I felt like were were characters in an epic novel series she was reading. We never know how life will evolve and the ways in which we'll meet back up again decades down the road! Reconnecting with Rene and Jane at the same time really threw me for a very pleasant loop, nay...a Mobius Strip! Iam still caught in the Fever of it! In this episode I celebrate the journey of my amazing client Thia. Just over 1 year ago Thia was a high school teacher frustrated by students slipping through the cracks and not receiving the wholistic support they needed. So…she decided to do something about it. Tune into the full episode to find out how she left her 12 year teaching career to build a business serving students and their families in academic and emotional intelligence skills. In less than 6 months Thia replaced her entire year's teaching salary by following a nudge in her heart and offering a service that parents were in desperate need of. I also talk about a new 1:1 coaching offer I have opened up called Business In A Day. If you want to chat more and see if it is a great fit for you, click here to book a call to chat. BRADGATE!! WHAT THE CHURCH MUST LEARN FROM THE FALL AND ATTEMPTED REHABILITATION OF BRAD WILCOX EPISODE 10B - BRADGATE!! WHO IS BRAD WILCOX? AND WHAT DID HE TEACH THE TEENAGERS OF THE BRITISH ISLES?As we celebrate the first Platinum Jubilee of a reigning monarch in our entire history this week this is the first of two episodes exploring what Brad Wilcox, Elementary School Teacher, BYU Professor of Ancient Scripture (with no relevant qualifications whatsoever), internet sensation and Counsellor on the Young Men General Presidency taught the youth of the Sunderland, England Stake, and an international audience of others tuning in to this Covid lockdown online fireside. What does it reveal about the state of ideological and numerical collapse in the LDS Church today, and how the leaders are trying to persuade the kids not to leave? We also take a Jubilee Bonus canter through the 7 lies Susan Bednar's Husband told in 20 minutes during the first appearance by an LDS General Authority before the National Press Club in 22 years on 26 May 2022 among other treats, including my attempt to read the Prologue of the Canterbury Tales in Middle English! No foxes were shouted at in the making of this episode.
BRADGATE!! WHAT THE CHURCH MUST LEARN FROM THE FALL AND ATTEMPTED REHABILITATION OF BRAD WILCOX EPISODE 10A - THE STATE OF THE DISUNIONThere is so much to chew on as we process what Brad Wilcox, Elementary School Teacher, BYU Professor of Ancient Scripture (with no relevant qualifications whatsoever), internet sensation and Counsellor on the Young Men General Presidency has been teaching the youth of the Church, as revealed when his Alpine, Utah Tri-Stake Fireside on 6 February 2022 went viral. It laid wide open for all to see and hear the concerns about racism, sexism and anti-educationthought-stopping mind control that this podcast and many others have been discussing, and are driving huge numbers of once faithful members out of the Church. The amateur fundamentalist authoritarians perpetuating McConkie Mormonism ignorance have almost completed a take-over of LDS Church leadership and they are now relentlessly trying to drag the Church back to the future. Specifically they are dismantling hard-won concessions tomodernity and truth like the Gospel Topics Essay on Race and the Priesthood, and original foundational principles like teaching people correct principles and trusting them to govern themselves. I have several information and analysis-packed episodes edited and ready to go to try and do this all justice as the Mormon Civil War becomes even more intense and astonishing. This episode updates you on the First Presidency's response to my letter appealing my excommunication, the adventures of the Britvengers, and takes stock of where we are now with significant developments for good and bad in the recent April 2022 General Conference. The following BRADGATE!! episodes explore what Brad Wilcox taught the youth in the UK during Covid lockdown in 2020, the Alpine debacle, the attempt to rescue his reputation with an apology and then a double act with his black Presidency-colleague Ahmad S Corbitt, the ongoing history and developments of the LDS Church's institutional and doctrinal racistsegregation, and what Church members can actually do to hold the leaders doing all this to us accountable. We have always had the mechanism and the authority to replace them with people who know what they are doing... and what Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount, because that shouldn't be too much to ask if they really are going to be His Apostles!
