It’s been another rough summer week for Orlando City, with a road loss in New Jersey, an injury that kept Dom Dwyer out of the lineup, a really bizarre red card that has Kaká out of the lineup this coming weekend, and probably other stuff we probably haven’t thought of. But hey, the Pride and OCB both won and seem to be on a roll. Orlando City B midfielder Austin Martz has been along for the OCB ride and he’s here to talk with us about all those draws, what it was like to finally hit the net, and a lot more. It’s been a crazy run for the USL side, which has designs on a second straight postseason appearance. Plus, we’re talking about the Pride’s big win over Sky Blue, the debut of Yoshimar Yotun, and much more, including #AskTMLPC, and our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando vs. Columbus! Here’s how things went: 0:13- Hey, we’re as sick of the losses as anyone but let’s maybe put the engine together with the brand new parts before complaining that the car won’t start. Plus, we are #FilledWithPride and let’s hear it for eight games without a loss for OCB. 46:47- Austin Martz joins us and has the best Natty Bo story we’ve ever heard on the PawedCast. He also touches on Anthony Pulis, his teammates, the roller coaster of the USL season, and more. 1:01:46- A pretty full #AskTMLPC mailbag this week, plus our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City vs. Columbus Crew. Got a question? Just tweet it to us @TheManeLand with the hashtag #AskTMLPC. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Since we last talked to you Orlando City has returned to its winning ways. The Lions closed out May with a win over D.C. United and started June with a hard-fought 0-0 draw vs. the Chicago Fire despite being down not one, but two men. We break down both games and give you our Man of the Match picks, as well as some thoughts on Sunday night’s referee, Ted Unkel. Plus, we’ve got wins to talk about for the Orlando Pride and OCB as well. Speaking of OCB, we’ve got midfielder Jordan Schweitzer with us from the young Lions and he was one of the more enjoyable player interviews we’ve had. Jordan weighed in on many topics about OCB, including what it was like to play with boats and trains going by in Pittsburgh on Saturday night. He also was brave enough to withstand our rapid fire segment. We answered your questions from Twitter (use #AskTMLPC and hit us up with a tweet) and most of them were about officiating. Go figure. We also discussed the USMNT, the U.S. U-20s, and much more in this supersized edition of the PawedCast. Here’s how it went down: 0:12- Orlando City picked up a win and a very controversial draw since we last met. Here’s how those results happened and our Man of the Match picks. Plus, another bad night for Ted Unkel. 37:30- The Pride blanked the Boston Breakers and finally earned a penalty. Here’s how a rainy win over Boston happened and OCB fell behind early but came back on goals by Hadji Barry and Zach Ellis-Hayden! 49:02- Jordan Schweitzer talks about coming over from Seattle Sounders 2, playing for Anthony Pulis and the mindset of a reserve team player, the season so far, and some other fun topics. 1:12:43- It’s time to delve into the mailbag. You guys sure like talking about referees! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Another week produced another win at Orlando City Stadium and we’re here to talk about Saturday’s 2-0 win over the Colorado Rapids. We’re breaking down what the Pids tried to turn into a sleepy Saturday afternoon but actually turned into an exciting OCSC victory, including our picks for Man of the Match. We also discussed the Pride’s 3-1 loss at North Carolina Courage, and OCB’s 0-0 draw at home last Thursday against Saint Louis FC. Speaking of the young Lions, we’ve got their gaffer! OCB Head Coach Anthony Pulis returns to the PawedCast to discuss the first quarter of the USL season, the team’s current two-week hiatus between games, his surprises at striker this season, what he’s learned from Jason Kries, and more. And there are not one, but two upcoming games to talk about. Orlando City hits the road this week and hopes that it doesn’t hit back. The Lions are off to face Toronto FC and the Houston Dynamo in the next few days and we’ll have our key match-ups and score predictions for those matches. Here’s how the show unfolded: 0:12- Carlos Rivas and Kaká came off the bench to lead the Lions to victory on Saturday and we want to talk about it. Plus, the Pride, OCB, Ashlyn Harris’ postgame remarks, and Orlando City Stadium was selected to host a World Cup qualifier! 38:32- Anthony Pulis reprises his guest starring role here on the PawedCast and the OCB coach gives us his thoughts on the team’s slow start, the season so far, and where the young Lions are headed. 55:33- Our key match-ups and score predictions for not one but two huge road games against two teams that are unbeaten at home — Toronto FC and the Houston Dynamo. Orlando City enters the international break undefeated and untied after defeating the Philadelphia Union, 2-1, on Saturday night at the club’s brand new purple palace. It’s always nicer to talk about wins than losses (or draws) and so here we are to break down a thoroughly satisfying win over another Eastern Conference rival. Goals, passes, individual battles and our Man of the Match picks — we discussed it all. We also talked about the Orlando Pride’s emphatic 9-0 preseason-opening win over Stetson University and the start of the USL season. Speaking of that, Orlando City B Head Coach Anthony Pulis stopped by to talk about Saturday’s upcoming I-4 Derby, the challenges of coaching a USL side made up of league players, MLS loanees, and deserving academy standouts. It’s always a pleasure talking to the coach, who provided quite a bit of insight into the workings of his team in the Orlando City pyramid. And we touch on the upcoming USMNT Hex games against Honduras and Panama, as well as the ICC match between Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain slated for Orlando’s Camping World Stadium in July. All in all, it was a workmanlike effort from your PawedCast hosts this week. Here’s how it all unfolded: 0:11- Orlando City gets big games from Larin, Rivas, MPG, Spector, Nocerino, Bendik and more in a win over the Union. Pride win their preseason opener, and I-4 Derby talk. 33:28- Anthony Pulis hops on to talk about his OCB side, the disparity that makes the USL great, rivalry games, facing Bodz and Pato, and much more. 49:55- USMNT in a must-win situation in the Hex and the ICC comes to the City Beautiful! Stop by next week as we’ll be preparing for the Columbus Crew! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

A lot has happened since we last met, constant listeners. Orlando City has played twice, the Orlando Pride has finished their inaugural NWSL season, and Orlando City B has qualified for the USL playoffs in its first year. We're here to talk about all of that. We're breaking down Orlando City's loss at D.C. United and draw at Toronto FC. The Lions didn't make it very easy for our Man of the Match selections, but we make them anyway. We put a bow on the Orlando Pride's first season and look forward to seeing what Tom Sermanni does with his roster in the off-season. And we look back at Orlando City B's win at Bethlehem Steel -- a historic victory that put the young Lions in the USL playoffs in their inaugural year. Here to help us talk about that and the playoff match ahead is none other than Lewis Neal. The OCB captain, former MLS Lion, and part-time broadcaster talks about his big goal on Sunday, the team's struggles down the stretch without Tony Rocha and Mikey Ambrose, the upcoming match against New York Red Bulls II, and more. And of course we look ahead to the Montreal Impact this Sunday with our predictions for Orlando City's penultimate home match of the season. Here's how it broke down: 0:12- A look back at an ugly loss in DC, an unexpected and yet unsatisfying draw in Toronto, suspensions, the 4-4-2 diamond, the Pride's closing match against FC Kansas City, OCB's win, and more. 45:33- Lewis Neal joins us to give us the lowdown on the young Lions, what the playoff berth means to the club, Anthony Pulis' first season as a coach and Sunday's match at NYRBII. 1:00:56- Our key match-ups and score predictions for Orlando City vs. Montreal Impact. And that's a wrap! We'll be back to break down the Montreal game and look ahead to the final two games. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Well, we took a week off during Copa America but the Mane Land PawedCast is back with a vengeance. We've got a show clocking in at a smidge over an hour long where we talked about Copa, Euro 2016, the resurgence of Orlando City B, the road woes of the Orlando Pride and a whole lot more. We were also fortunate enough to talk to Orlando City midfielder Servando Carrasco. Servando tells us why he loves playing defensive midfield, even if it isn't the most glamorous position on the soccer field, as well as who some of his heroes were that influenced his fondness for the position. He also weighs in on the Copa break, this week's win over Jacksonville Armada FC in the U.S. Open Cup, and Saturday's opponents, the San Jose Earthquakes. And no PawedCast would be complete without our key match-ups and laughably wrong predictions for the game. All of this entertainment and information comes your way for the low, low cost of absolutely nothing. Enjoy! Here's how the sausage was made: 0:13- Michael and Andrew talk about international soccer, why the U.S. Open Cup isn't more popular, the job Anthony Pulis is doing with OCB and the Pride struggling to score on the road. 53:08- Servando Carrasco jumps on and he's well worth the wait. The Orlando City midfielder talks about doing trick shots with Brek Shea and Joe Bendik, how much nicer it is to live in the same city as your wife, what's great about defensive midfield and a lot more. 1:08:28- Breaking down the Earthquakes and prediction time! That's all for this week. We'll be back to wrap up San Jose and look ahead to Toronto FC. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The season is almost here and it's time to get excited about games again. Orlando City will start playing preseason games in early February and we now have the full Orlando City B USL schedule. To celebrate this week's announcement of the entire USL schedule, we've got OCB Head Coach Anthony Pulis on this week's show to talk about his squad, how preseason camp is going and why he followed his famous father into the coaching ranks. Pulis is our second straight Orlando soccer coach to guest on the PawedCast. Could Adrian Heath be far behind? (We'll be in touch, Inchy.) We start this week by talking about Orlando City's off-season acquisitions (so far), plus some discussion on both the MLS SuperDraft and NWSL College Draft. And we talk about Orlando City B happenings, as the fledgling reserve team prepares for its first USL season. Here's how it all went down: 0:25- The preseason is upon us! We talk about the three new arrivals the drafts for Orlando City and Orlando Pride and a little bit about Orlando City B. 26:17- Orlando City B Head Coach Anthony Pulis jumps on with us and discusses how the preseason is going, what lured him into coaching and what faces we might see in Melbourne this summer. 40:53- Final thoughts on OCB and the schedule, and our dream 2016 MLS road trips.
