Connor Cape has the call of the Rapids' epic comeback in Seattle.
Hello Colorado Rapids fans. This week on Holding The High Line, we have so much to talk about. Rabbi has some work commitments so Red is joined by Keith Richards with Team NBS Media and Spencer Baldwin (Burgundy Wave's intern). This three-man midfield cooks. The trio banters about the USMNT getting a friendly at DICK's against Australia on October 14. We discuss that Jackson Travis red card against LAFC and how it ruined the game (and the 4-4-2 diamond game plan). We move on to the joy that was the win over Vancouver Whitecaps. Djordje and the Goal Scorers sounds like a fun band name. The whole team played well. Forgot to say this on the pod, but don't think the ball was over the line on that 11th minute chance. The guests share what they hope to see from the retro 30th anniversary third kit. We discuss who should take the next penalty the Rapids win. Matt celebrates Reggie Cannon rightfully getting the bag from Boavista. Keith has updates on Rapids 2. Spencer has thoughts on Kévin Cabral's imminent future given he wasn't at the Meet the Team Party . . . Then we look ahead to Seattle Sounders. Oh and Matt forgot to make the following joke: Cole Palmer has spent more time talking to Donald Trump than Cole Bassett has spent talking to Stan Kroenke.

The Colorado Rapids shutout the 2nd best team in the West, 3-0. Vancouver couldn't get its barring once Colorado pounced and the rest was history! Calvin Harris, Rafael Navarro, and Andreas Maxso all made sure the Rapids got back on the winning track! Their game is Wednesday vs Seattle @8PM on Altitude Sports Radio 92.5! Connor Cape and Drew Moor bring you through a fun win from DSGP!
LAFC saw three welcome sights stroll into BMO Stadium, as Giorgio Chiellini, Hello Kitty, and the Colorado Rapids made their way to the BMO! LAFC would pummel the Rapids, 3-0, behind Denis' 83rd and Dilrosun's 1st, amidst a sea of plush kittens. Also on this pod, Filly swears. We're sorry. Well, at least Scarf is. Laff joins us, and apparently, he's the new conductor of the Martinez Motorcade. All aboard!
The Colorado Rapids lose 3-0 to LAFC at BMO Stadium. The Rapids remain winless vs LAFC in LA. They'll quickly bounce back with a game this Saturday vs the Vancouver Whitecaps. But Connor Cape has the call of this game from Los Angeles.

Hello Colorado Rapids fans. We hope you all had a good 4th of July. On this Sunday episode of Holding The High Line, we analyze that 4thFest loss to Sporting Kansas City and preview a difficult double game week. First the guys banter about the Gold Cup Final. Was it mission accomplished for the USMNT even with the performance and loss to Mexico? Has this altered expectations for us going into the World Cup next summer? What does this mean for the national team hopefuls on the Rapids? How should Rapids fans feel about RSL star Diego Luna playing well during the tournament? We discuss. Then we recap the loss to SKC? It was a good performance overall but in the context of having three really bad mistakes and not executing in small moments. Be prepared to learn what we thought on Conor Ronan's performance. What was up with Djordje Mihailović and Cole Bassett? Also what was up with 17,576 being a sellout at DSGP, the P-I-D-S chant, and the DIA substitution jingle? We also look big picture at whether this team can or will make the playoffs? Chris Armas continues to take the long view even though he's technically out of contract after this year. The Rapids actually have an easy schedule the rest of the way, even though July is tough. Red talks about what it means. Then we look ahead to LAFC and Vancouver. Colorado has a bad record at BMO Stadium, 0-8 all time, outscored 23-2. Rabbi thinks this might be the chance to catch LAFC while they're down. Club World Cup fatigue, Olivier Giroud exit and all. Oh, and we'll see what happens as this is the first game since the inappropriate language incident between Sergi Palencia and Chido Awaziem. Great. Similarly, Whitecaps are a good team but might be leggy due to players being at the Concacaf Gold Cup. They've also had two really bad losses, including a 3-0 loss to LA Galaxy. Yikes. Can the Rapids get a result against two teams who will have more rest than them? We make predictions. Also Mark would like to formally apologize to Wheat Ridge and Glendale.
The Colorado Rapids lose 2-1 as a goal within the first five minutes derailed another potential win for the Rapids. Connor Cape and Drew Moor bring you all the lastest from 4th Fest at DSGP.
Ken traverses the treacherous lake rapids to facilitate guest leads
Hello Colorado Rapids fans. This week on Holding The High Line, we are back to normal. We discuss the Rapids Secondary Transfer Window and try to make sense of that 3-3 draw with New England Revolution. First the buys banter about the Club World Cup and Gold Cup. Are we excited about the USMNT? Is the CWC still a mixed bag? We discuss and give predictions. Then we recap the New England Revolution game. Mark breaks down the goals as the Rapids offense spread the ball and looked great without Djordje Mihailović. Congrats to KDP on the baby on the way. We discuss what went wrong on the three goals conceded. Was Sam Vines' own goal all that bad? What about Chris Armas having words on the referee and Carles Gil drawing a penalty against Sam Bassett? What about the game state? Does this result sting less if Colorado gets a win on Friday? We have thoughts. Then we look ahead to the Rapids Secondary Transfer Window. Stav Lemkin is officially a no, having signed with FC Twente. We talk about the center back, winger, and fullback positions. Could any Rapids players be on the way out? Also Mark breaks out the spreadsheet to discuss the MLSPA player salary information. Lastly, we look ahead to one of the biggest home games of the year. The guys preview Sporting KC and discuss what they've done since firing Peter Vermes. What do the Rapids need to do to win this game? Will they be healthy? How many glizzies will the Rapids Community crush on Friday? Oh, and apologies to anybody from Wheat Ridge.

The LA Galaxy traveled to Colorado on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, to face the Rapids, and received a two-hour weather delay and ultimately, another loss, as an uninspired display led to the Galaxy losing to their hosts 2-0. We'll look at what went wrong against the Rapids, if outside factors like the delay are an excuse, and what the belief level of the players is following another loss. We'll also look ahead to the Galaxy's weekend trip to San Jose for the 104th edition of the Cali Clasico, a match that on paper, looks like it may be out of reach for LA. Can the Galaxy lift themselves out of the fog of loss and bring back three points from their Northern rivals on Saturday?

The LA Galaxy continues its 2025 campaign by traveling to face the Colorado Rapids on Wed, June 25, in another midweek game that sees the reigning champs play two times in four days. With Colorado holding ninth place, the last playoff spot, the Galaxy will need to take advantage of a massive six-point match against a weakened Rapids side. But with everything pointing to a winnable game, will the Galaxy actually be able to take advantage of their favorable conditions and get another win to start moving up the table?

Hello Colorado Rapids fans. This week on Holding The High Line, we're trying to find joy in tough times. We discuss the Club Word Cup so far. Has it been a predictable flop? How will this be used as a test run for the World Cup next summer? Has anyone been deported by ICE? Then we analyze that 0-1 loss to Orlando City. The boys break down how it was worryingly similar to the Austin FC loss. That was a bad goal conceded by Nico Hansen. We discuss what's wrong the attack, Cole Bassett, and Chris Armas working on that puzzle. Have the Rapids been found out? We have thoughts. Then we discuss the 30th anniversary third kit the club will be launching on for the match at Seattle Sounders on June 16. There's some hidden clues in that Tweet. Lastly, we preview the next game against LA Galaxy. Should win? Must win? What's wrong with the last place Gs and how can Colorado capitalize on that?
My guest this week is Candi Churchill, GM of the Watertown Rapids. The ball club plays in the New York Collegiate Baseball League and play at the Duffy Fairgrounds. Churchill is in her first season with the Rapids and has served in the same position with the Watertown Wolves of the Federal Hockey League. She tells us what the orginazation has planned to bring the fans back the ballpark from game day promotions, community outreach, and plenty of media outreach.

We banter about the state of the world, our place in it, how to feel, and what to do about it. Classic HTHL amid an existential crisis. We recap the 0-2 loss to Austin FC. We then discuss news as Stuv Lemkin is close to signing for the Rapids. Also Zack Steffen is out so it's the Nico Hansen show for now. Then we preview Saturday's game against Orlando City. From day to night it went for the Colorado Rapids. They went into the half up 1-0 and then they couldn't find that same momentum and mojo in the 2nd half. The Portland Timbers scored two goals in less than 20 minutes. Mixed in between those goals was a Rapids red card. Connor Cape has the call from Portland of how things got so crazy so quick!

We also discuss the UCL Final and San Diego's issue with away fans. The boys make recommendations for what MLS games to watch on Saturday with the Pids having an off weekend. Rabbi and Red break down the win against St. Louis CITY. We discuss Darren Yapi and Nico Hansen. Should we temper our excitement given how bad CITY is? What about the injuries and the rain delay? Hello Colorado Rapids fan! This week on Holding The High Line, it's a Rocky Mountain Cup sweep for the Burgundy Boys. Rabbi and Red banter about some non-Rapids Rivalry Week banter. Pat Noonan doesn't like Double Game Weeks. Mark Delgado is becoming the Pablo Mastroeni of El Trafico. Also, RIP Gadi Kinda. We briefly touch on the loss to San Diego FC. Who even cares given what came next? Then we talk all things Rocky Mountain Cup. Jackson Travis and Nico Hansen were excellent. Cole Bassett and Djordje Mihailović finally linked up. It was kind of a boring game. Real Salt Lake were poor, compounded by Diego Luna getting subbed off. What does that all say about the Rapids? Later, the Rapids Unified Team held on for a 0-0 draw against RSL Unified. Colin Underly, son of coach Molly and MLS Unified All-Star, stood on his head. We hear from the goalkeeper. We touch on R2 beating Real Monarchs with Kamani Stewart-Baynes scoring a PK down a man. Then we look ahead to Saturday's home match against a struggling St. Louis CITY. This episode had so much lore you guys. We banter about Pittsburgh Cookie Tables and hanging out with the wonderful Goodman family. Including the Stout Street Pitbull himself, Zoobie (Do). The guys break down Colorado Rapids 0-2 loss to San Jose Earthquakes. Connor Ronan got a start. Cole Bassett came off the bench. What's up with the 4-2-2-2 right now? Why has this team now given up 12 goals in the final five minutes of halves plus stoppage time? What's going on? We've got ideas. Get yourself a Voodoo Clock to break the bad juju this week. Then we look ahead to the first double game week of the season. At San Diego FC on Wednesday. Then back at home for the first leg of the Rocky Mountain Cup against Real Salt Lake. We discuss the state of RSL and Pablo Mastroeni going back to the Mastronaccio. It's Matt's Birthday Weekend. What could possibly go wrong? Also, scarves are on the way if you haven't gotten yours yet! Email us with questions on that.
Hello Colorado Rapids fans. Holding The High Line is back after Red's trip to England Rabbi's lost power. We break down Colorado's 2-1 loss at D.C. United and much more. Matt discusses his week off, Fulham games, history adventures with the girlfriend and all. We touch on the 1-1 draw with Seattle Sounders but go more in depth on the United game. What went well? Do the Rapids need more leadership? What's up with things going wrong at the end of halves? We discuss. Update: We might have gotten some stuff wrong on Chris Armas missing the D.C. United game because of his Hall of Fame induction. We understand he missed the game because of a mechanical issue, not weather. Maybe a charter flight or private jet would have prevented the problem all together. Then we talk about all the soccer news. Michael Edwards got loaned to Charleston Battery. Colorado is close to signing Australian center back Lucas Herrington, as first brought up by Judgmental Jim. A match against LAFC might be rescheduled. We're hyped for the Unified Teams' May 17 game. Denver NWSL has added Mikaela Shiffrin to their ownership group ahead of the city council vote on $70 million in public funding for the project. The Denver Post, Denverite, and City Cast Denver did a great job covering this issue, tax increment financing (TIF) and all. We preview the big match against San Jose Earthquakes. Also, Switchbacks lost to RBNY in Open Cup.
The first few months of 1813 saw horrible weather conditions in Ohio as troops and supplies were heading to Fort Meigs. On this episode of The Foot of the Rapids, discover how these weather conditions affected troop movements, supply chains, camp conditions, and physical and mental health at this "most disagreeable encampment." Fun Fact: This episode was researched and written by Fort Meigs' director, Ashley Phlipot for her Masters Degree in History at Bowling Green State University. She also created a learning module to accompany her research. Check it out here: www.fortmeigs.org/learning/disagreeable
