He's released on many labels, such as Bunker, Touchin' Bass, Kommando 6 and Musar. Sam Lowry is his other alias for a slightly different sound (on Strange Life Records, Brokntoys and more). Some of his tunes resemble a future horror movie soundtrack, others a visit to a mental clinic but most sound like what exactly hostile aliens would listen to while attacking Earth. Currently based in Amoy, China. This is a mix of influences (French darkwave, minimal wave, post-punk and more!)France, Belgium, Quebec. From sweet and atmospheric to twisted, violent, grotesque and plain weird! All sung in that wonderful language we call French. Enjoy the ride! Amsterdam may be considered the main musical hub in the Netherlands but Rotterdam definitely gives it a run for its money. The port city in the south of the country is the base of independent radio station Operator as well as being home to label and radio shop Pinkman Records who have been responsible for a few of our favourite releases in recent years. Gamma Intel has been closely affiliated with both institutions, as a resident on Operator and as a label mate for Pinkman with his release Motives & Methods earlier this year. We first caught wind of him via his release for London-based electro imprint Brokntoys, his debut EP in fact, which introduced us to his machine-driven sound; a heady blend of electro, EBM and raw electronics. We invited him to give us a taste of what Gamma Intel is all about. Buckle up, this one's a barnstormer...

The rising Glasgow based duo behind the Craigie Knowes label and party series deliver an unflinching assault of acid, electro and broken atmospheric moments with full effect. It's just stuff I thought went well together. Electro from Australia, garagey stuff, some breaky stuff. Played a few from Credit 00s recent EP on his Rat Life label, a definite favorite from me. Mitch: I went with a fairly wide blend of old and new stuff. A classic Bam Bam acid track, some stuff on Brokntoys which has been one of my favourite labels over the past few years, a Storage Media track on Ebeamz which went under the radar last year. Then a couple of brand new records I got through my door that day including the new Redlight record from UTTU. We basically just put a mix together we felt we would play in the club.

London is a goldmine for talented selectors. Our Novembers guest is Kristopher Hall, who is one of the heads of Brokntoys label. A label well known for its ambient journeys as well as aggressive techno and surrealistic electro gems. If you are familiar with the output of the label (and if you are not, you have got some time to finish your homework) then there probably are some expectations for this months influence selection from Kristopher Hall and they will be broken. What you will hear might surprise you, but only in the best possible way. And in the end it all makes sense.

Any of you synth freaks out there will know all about London Modular Alliance. It is the alias of a live electronic act made up of Koova, Yes Effect and Pip Williams, but is also a much loved and cult synth shop of the same name in Hackney, London. In the club, London Modular Alliance do things properly: they cook up brain frying soundtracks, on the fly, with modular synths, no laptops, and many patch cables. Exactly what will go down at any of their shows is unknown even by the men behind the machines, such is their nature, but suffice it to say they always impress. Their studio sounds are equally beguiling and have come on Brokntoys and Hypercolour, and now they make their unique entry into our mix series. Clocking in at just over an hour, it is a one of the most alive soundtracks we have heard: the whole thing unfolds and evolves seemingly with a life of its own. There are no joins between tracks, no jarring transitions, just a fluid fusion of electro and techno grooves coated in that raw analogue texture we all love so much. Variously prickly and kinetic, raw and freaky or more supple and seductive, it is a splendid session from some of the finest synth maestros out there.
