There will be even a cross-save feature between both games, which is excellent. General News • Nintendo Direct from April 12, 2017. • 3DS News Announced: o Hey! Pikmin launches July 28, 2017. o Ever Oasis launches June 23rd. o Monster Hunter Stories launches Fall 2017. o Yo-Kai Watch Psychic Specters launches Fall 2017. o Culdcept Revolt launches August 29th. o RPG Maker Fes launches June 27th. o Miitopia launches late 2017. o Fire Emblem Echoes will have a season pass for its DLC content. Some content will be free. Release date for the DLC is to be announced later. o Kirby’s 25th Anniversary Celebration: o Team Kirby Clash Deluxe launched after the Direct presentation. o Kirby’s Blowout Blast launches Summer 2017. o New multiplayer action game set for release sometime in 2017. No further details provided. o Bye-Bye Boxboy launched after the predestination. • Nintendo Switch News Announced: o ARMS launches June 16, 2017. o A neon yellow Joy-Con set will release the same day as ARMS on June 16. o Nintendo also announced a new Joy-Con AA battery pack which will also launch on June 16th. This is interesting as the Joy-Con last an extremely long time as is. o Nintendo recapped information on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, launching on April 28 and May 26 respectively. o Minecraft Switch Edition launches May 11, 2017. o Samurai Shodown 4 launched on April 13. o Sonic Forces hits Holiday 2017. o Sonic Mania launches Summer 2017. o Project Mekuru launches Summer 2017, and is a puzzle game of sorts. o Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star launches July 25th. Topic of the show • Nintendo announced they have sold 906,000 Switch consoles in the US, but independent research group SuperData have revealed the system sold through approximately 2.4 million units worldwide in its first month. Interestingly Nintendo also revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold 1.3 million units in the US, 925,000 copies on the Switch, and 460,000 on the Wii U. PS4 sold through 1 million units in 24 hours in North America. • NES Classic Edition Cancelation. Amiibo News • Hey! Pikmin will have its own unique Amiibo, which will launch on July 28th, 2017. • Majora's Mask Link, Twilight Princess Link and Skyward Sword Link launch on June 23rd, and will unlock the Skyward Sword armor set and the Fierce Deity armor set in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. • Cloud Strife, Corrin, and Bayonetta will finally see release on July 21. Interestingly Nintendo announced a Player 2 version for each of these characters, which will be exclusive to certain retail outlets. So in other words, there are two different versions of each of the final Smash Bros Amiibos. • Nintendo also announced a new set of Splatoon Amiibo that will launch on July 21st featuring new versions of Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, and a Squid.
