In dieser Folge von 120 Sekunden Deluxe geht es um eine ziemlich alltägliche Kühlschrankfrage: Warum schwitzt Käse in der Plastikbox? Wer schon einmal eine Käseverpackung geöffnet hat und unten Wasser, glitschige Scheiben oder einen leicht unangenehmen Geruch entdeckt hat, kennt das Problem. Die Ursache liegt in einer Mischung aus Feuchtigkeit, Kälte und Lagerung. Käse enthält Wasser, Salz, Eiweiß und Fett – und in einer luftdichten Box kann Feuchtigkeit kaum entweichen. Kühlt die feuchte Luft ab, entsteht Kondenswasser. Der Taupunkt macht aus unsichtbarem Wasserdampf sichtbare Tropfen. Dazu zieht Salz Wasser an, wodurch die Oberfläche schneller schmierig werden kann. In der Folge erfahrt ihr, warum Käse zwar Feuchtigkeit braucht, aber keine Badewanne. Außerdem gibt es praktische Tipps zur besseren Lagerung: Käsepapier, Butterbrotpapier, Küchenpapier oder eine Frischhaltebox mit Gittereinsatz können helfen. Eine kleine Folge über Käse, Kühlschrankphysik und die Frage, warum Gouda kein Fußbad braucht.

John Leckie is one of British rock’s greatest producers, who started out as a tape operator at Abbey Road in 1970, thrown immediately into sessions for George Harrison’s All Things Must Pass and John Lennon’s Plastic Ono Band. This interview, conducted live at The CAT Club in September 2025, focuses on Sunburst Finish, the Be Bop Deluxe album that gave Leckie his first official production credit, and covers both the making of the album and his creative partnership with Bill Nelson. Additionally, Leckie gives a first-hand account of Syd Barrett’s unannounced appearance during the Wish You Were Here sessions, an encounter he stumbled into while raiding Pink Floyd’s beer fridge, only for Roger Waters to stop the tape and ask who the stranger standing next to him was. The Q&A session draws out further stories about working with The La’s, the Stone Roses’ debut, and how XTC – who idolised Bill Nelson, led Leckie to leave EMI and go independent. An Olivier award-winning physical comedian who has worked in theatres, films, tv, festivals, circuses, cabarets, burlesque and variety shows in over 40 countries, and performed her material in 6 different languages. Forged from vaudeville stock, classical training, and an endless international tour circuit, Amy G is a deluxe weirdo extraordinaire.  Her credits include two of her own shows at Broadway's New Victory Theatre (Writer/Asst. Director/Lead in AntiGravity's Crash Test Dummies, and Daredevil Opera Company's Cirkus Inferno), Sydney Opera House, The Kennedy Center, Adelaide International Festival, Festival International de Teatro de Bogota, Montreal's TOHU, Macau Centre for the Arts, and Taipei, Hong Kong and Okinawan Arts Festivals.  As co-director and co-star of the Daredevil Opera Company, she created and toured original pyrotechnic physical comedy shows for 6 years, doing over 600 shows in 33 different countries. In NYC, Amy's many solo shows (Entershamement, Round She Goes, Loving Abroad, and On A Roll) have played at Joe's Pub, Dance Theatre Workshop, Symphony Space, The Deluxe at Spiegelworld, The Duplex, NY Intl Clown Theatre Festival and the Bard Spiegeltent.
