Ocho años después de grabar la frase “Bad Bunny Baby” y a siete de su separación como pareja, Carliz de la Cruz Hernández demandó a Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio —mejor conocido como Bad Bunny— reclamando $40 millones por el uso de su imagen sin autorización. Sus abogados aseguraron que no se trata de una venganza. Así surgió en el más reciente episodio del podcast Con Los Editores en el que participaron los licenciados José M Marxuach Fagot y Joanna Bocanegra Ocasio. Mientras que la relacionista Uka Green explicó el impacto que pudiera tener la demanda en la opinión pública sobre el artista. “Carliz no tiene ninguna venganza, esto no es porque se dejaron. Aquí han pasado muchísimos años desde que esa relación terminó”, dijo la licenciada Bocanegra Ocasio. Explicó que la relación sentimental entre la demandante y el demandado se plantea para brindar el contexto de “cómo se da la creación de la frase “Bad Bunny Baby”. Los abogados revelaron que antes de radicar la demanda intentaron llegar a un acuerdo extrajudicial, pero no tuvieron éxito. Los letrados sostienen que la ley local sobre el derecho a la imagen requiere una autorización expresa —no implícita— para fines comerciales. La frase en voz de la demandante “Bad Bunny Baby” se incluyó en la producción musical Un Verano Sin Ti, en las canciones “Pa' ti y “Dos Mil 16”. Hubo negociaciones por parte de RIMAS con ella justo antes del lanzamiento de la producción, incluso horas antes.
Bad Bunny fue demandado en un tribunal de San Juan por su exnovia Carliz De la Cruz, quien pide una compensación de al menos 40 millones de dólares por derechos de imagen, derechos morales de autor y daños y perjuicios. [03:50] She was helping write business plans and noticed that niche markets online were wide open. [04:16] Her goal was to get 10 online platforms with products shipped from the manufacturer to the consumer. The wig market was wide open. It was also very needed and educational aspect was very important. [04:49] Alternative hair ended up being the only thing that they focused on. There was such a need. [05:34] Her parents and grandparents were entrepreneurs and it just was in her DNA to become an entrepreneur. [06:14] As an entrepreneur, you can make the necessary improvements you want. [07:07] When you empower your team they have exponentially more passion. [08:18] Passion is the personality trait that Carliz looks for. Team members get ownership of what they do. [09:44] Everyone has passion, we just need to figure out what sparks it. [10:45] It's important to push yourself out of your comfort zone and keep improving. [12:30] Alopecia is on a scary rise. Hair loss in general is up for women. [13:15] We lose 80 to 90 hairs a day. Hair production goes down in our 30s. [14:14] New wig technology is so beautiful and well made. [17:22] There is a medical need for alternative hair, but it's also a fun way to express yourself without added chemicals, time and expense. [37:14] Carliz learns from clients and any related resources that she can find. [38:22] She loves engaging in all aspects of her company.
