This week on Breaking Battlegrounds, Congressman Tom McClintock of California's 5th District discusses illegal immigration, the realities of repatriation and deportation, and his forestry bills, the Put Out the Fire Act and the Proven Forest Management Act, which aim to improve wildfire response and expand successful forest management practices nationwide. Congressman Addison McDowell of North Carolina's 6th District shares his work to combat the fentanyl crisis, including the HALT Fentanyl Act and the BIDEN Act to end the use of automated signing devices for key presidential actions. Finally, Financial expert Gary Gygi joins with insight on whether the Federal Reserve should cut interest rates and what that could mean for the economy.   www.breakingbattlegrounds.vote Facebook: www.facebook.com/breakingbattlegrounds Instagram: www.instagram.com/breakingbattlegrounds X: www.twitter.com/Breaking_Battle LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/breakingbattlegrounds Truth Social: https://truthsocial.com/@breakingbattlegrounds Show sponsors: Santa Has A Podcast - This episode of Breaking Battlegrounds is brought to you by Santa Has a Podcast — a show for the whole family filled with kindness challenges, North Pole stories, elf updates, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic all year long. Learn more at: 4FreedomMobile.com About our guest: Tom McClintock represents the people of California's historic Sierra Nevada foothills and fertile Central Valley in a district that stretches from Placerville to Modesto, through the Yosemite Valley and on to Kings Canyon. Often described as "the gold standard" for fiscal conservatism in Congress, the National Taxpayers Union rated him the best vote for taxpayers in the House four times, most recently in 2020. Citizens Against Government Waste recently named him as one of the perfect votes in the House fighting wasteful government spending. McClintock is a member of the House Judiciary Committee where he serves as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement and also serves on the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government. He is a senior member of the House Natural Resources Committee where he serves on the Subcommittee on Federal Lands, which he chaired from 2015 to 2018, and on the Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife, and Fisheries, which he chaired from 2011 to 2015. The Congressman is also a member of the House Budget Committee and has proposed major fiscal reforms to curb unauthorized appropriations, control mandatory spending, balance the budget and protect the nation's credit. Prior to his election to Congress, McClintock served 22 years in the California legislature, where he became one of its most recognized conservative leaders. He twice received the Republican nomination for State Controller, narrowly missing election in 2002 by 23/100ths of one percent. He ran as the conservative standard bearer for Governor in California's historic recall election in 2003. - Addison McDowell proudly represents North Carolina's 6th Congressional District. Motivated by the tragic loss of his younger brother, Luke, to a fentanyl overdose, McDowell's top priority in Congress is to tackle the drug crisis and strengthen border security to protect families and communities from the dangers posed by illegal immigration. Addison currently serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, the Natural Resources Committee, and the Budget Committee. Through these committee assignments, he is fighting to make sure the critical needs of North Carolina's Sixth District are met. Prior to Congress, Addison's public service included serving on staff for Congressman (now U.S. Senator) Ted Budd and Congressman Richard Hudson, where he spent each day helping constituents in need. Addison earned his Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. During this time, he met his wife, Rachel, through YoungLife Ministry. A native of Lexington, North Carolina, Addison and Rachel now reside in Davie County, where they are raising their two daughters and are active in their local church.

Fountain Valley, California, the Fountain Valley Police Department responded to a suspicious person outside a middle school by a male subject without a shirt who appeared to scare a woman in car there. Officers located 26-year-old Osean McClintock, who matched the description provided by the caller. He refused commands to sit down and took off on foot. The officer chased McClintock through several parking lots. McClintock gained distance on the officer and the officer discontinued the foot pursuit. Without good cause to continue the chase, he radioed to others to let the suspect go. A deadly encounter ensued when the suspect met up with a female police officer nearby, who drew her weapon-- but then was disarmed by the suspect. Police officers had to use terminal force to subdue him. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In honor of Foster Care Awareness Month, we're sharing a replay of a powerful and important conversation with Brannon Marshall and Judy McClintock as they share practical ways to empower churches to support foster families. In this episode, we're joined by Brannon Marshall, the pastor of North Canton Chapel, and Judy, the director of family life. Their perspectives provide valuable insights into the churches' role in supporting foster families.Brannon's deep involvement in our community offers valuable insights, while Judy brings her perspective from witnessing the journeys of foster and adoptive families in our congregation. We reflect on Jason Johnson's powerful quote, "We are not all called to do the same thing, but we can all do something," and discuss practical ways churches can translate awareness into meaningful action. We explore common reasons churches hesitate to get involved and offer strategies to overcome these barriers. We emphasize the importance of moving towards brokenness rather than shying away from it. From building supportive communities to offering tangible resources, we discuss concrete steps churches can take to make a positive impact.Amidst the multitude of ministries competing for attention and resources, we examine how to discern and prioritize support for vulnerable families within our church's mission. Finally, we address pastors and ministry leaders, offering practical guidance on initiating efforts to support foster families within their congregations.Episode Highlights:Introduction to Brannon Marshall & Judy McClintockCompassion fatigue in the churchA message to Lead PastorsWhat Can We Do as a Church to Support Foster Families?Everyone Can Do SomethingFind more on Guest:North Canton ChapelFind More on Hope Bridge:Visit Our Website Follow us on InstagramFollow us on Facebook Foster Our Community Instagram This show has been produced by Adkins Media Co.

Send us a textResistance to tyrants is obedience to God. Founder of Tree of Liberty Society Ben McClintock is back on the show tonight and he is working from the national to the local level to educate citizens on the principles of liberty and expose those conspiring to take away your freedom. It's time for you to become a part of a community taking action. Understanding the reality of conspiracy is essential. Numerous historical and contemporary sources confirm the existence of a vast effort to overthrow freedom and impose control over all nations. The scriptures teach that we are commanded to expose these works of darkness, for failing to do so allows them to flourish. Our Liberty boot camp https://treeoflibertysociety.com/courses/liberty-bootcamp/INVASION books https://treeoflibertysociety.com/product-category/books/SUPPORT THE SHOWSubscribeStar http://bit.ly/42Y0qM8Super Chat Tip https://bit.ly/42W7iZHBuzzsprout https://bit.ly/3m50hFTPaypal http://bit.ly/3Gv3ZjpPatreon http://bit.ly/3G37AVx SMART is the acronym that was created by technocrats that have setup the "internet of things" that will eventually enslave humanity to their needs. t was sixty days into his new role when Brian McClintock tells us he realized the company's monthly “profit” was actually a million-dollar loss. As the CFO reviewed the financials, he discovered that each rosy figure concealed a troubling truth. For many executives, panic might have followed. Instead, McClintock's response underscored a key principle: remain calm and stay focused on data-driven solutions. As he dug deeper, a misalignment of actual costs and revenue assumptions emerged, revealing the precarious financial situation that demanded immediate action. Determined to right the ship, he mapped a bold course, recommending a strategic acquisition that would fortify cash flow and support operational improvements. “We had to leverage operational insights along with our existing relationships,” McClintock explains, adding that his experience in complex telecom environments allowed him to see beyond the numbers. The result was rapid transformation. Within a year, the company went from losing seven figures each month to generating a million dollars in monthly EBITDA—proof of the CFO's insistence on purposeful change.

Humor is one way to build rapport with your students, but there's more to it than just being the “fun teacher.” Kevin McClintock – better known as Mr. McTiktok – shares from his experiences as a teacher and social media influencer, underscoring the importance of consistent boundaries and connecting with your students. Follow Kevin: Instagram | TikTok “When the kids come into class and they know what's expected of them inside the class, we can get stuff done. We still can be funny, but we have certain goals.” “When you are kind of an entertainer, there's always going to be this ebb and flow. Sometimes you have to be more direct.” “If they know that there are boundaries, they feel safe. That's when you get to be silly, that's when you get to be goofy and it's not a detriment to class.” “My advice is to not just throw in humor but to get to know the kids. You have to observe them, you have to know their interests.” “Consistency is the key. Consistently pouring into those kids, you will break down their barriers.” “Consistency and showing interest in your students [are] way more important than just being goofy.” “The one thing that I miss [about teaching] is the relationship with the kids.” “You can't teach a subject to someone that's not willing. When you know them, that's when they're going to want to learn.” “I'm not going to get them to try to love history, but they know that I love them.” What's changing our lives: Keane: Replacing older shirts Heather: Messaging with her cousin's daughter Kevin: Getting diagnosed with ADHD Weekly Spotlight: Social Studies positions We'd love to hear from you! podcast@teachbeyond.org Podcast Website: https://teachbeyond.org/podcast Learn about TeachBeyond: https://teachbeyond.org/
