Guest: Campbell Panetti If you've been hanging around T4M for a while, you know that we take the designation of “friend” to be very important. I often share a quote from George Washington - here it is in its entirety: “Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to appellation.” Recently my youngest, Campbell, approached me with a new thought and addition to this conversation - he was saying that there are different levels of friends, too - that those who are your most intimate friends are your fellowship - and we see this modeled in the life and ministry of Jesus as well. Jesus had the 12 disciples, but He often took the 3 (Peter, James, and John) while leaving the others. Apparently this concept is supported by science and research as well. According to psychologist Robin Dunbar, the maximum number of close friends that a person can have is about five people - you can have a larger circle of friends (about 15 people) and another circle of about 50…and the maximum number of people that a person can have “meaningful contact” with is about 150 people. The last part of our conversation dealt with the idea that “friends accept each other as they are.” I don't wholeheartedly agree with that assessment - I think Scripture teaches us that friends are important tools to sharpen and improve us, often through saying hard truths and constructive criticism. Proverbs 27:17 says, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” The only way for iron to sharpen iron is for there to be honest and open conflict/friction to remove areas of weakness or sin. Hopefully you have friends around you who are working to help you be a better version of yourself! T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.

“Creating space isn't accidental, but an actual decision that must be made every day.” - Jilly NowackiWelcome to episode 229 of The CUInsight Experience podcast with your hosts, Randy Smith, co-founder of CUInsight, and Jilly Nowacki, President and CEO of Humanidei. This episode is sponsored by Alacriti, a leading payments fintech helping credit unions modernize money movement. Alacriti enables real-time money movement experiences for loan payments, A2A transfers, digital disbursements, and bill pay. Through a single cloud-native platform that connects to RTP, FedNow, Fedwire, ACH, Visa Direct, and Zelle, credit unions can progressively modernize without overhauling legacy systems. Learn more at alacriti.com!In this new 2026 season, Jilly and I will have conversations centered around leadership, credit unions, and living our best lives. We will have some of the most respected leaders from around credit unions who we are grateful to call friends join us in the discussion from time to time too.Join us for this episode as we discuss something that is seemingly simple but surprisingly difficult for leaders to do: creating space—space for the work that actually matters, space for the people who matter most, and space to think without your calendar screaming at you! Between emails, notifications, and endless meetings, it's so easy to let the urgent take control over what's truly important, and we're sharing how we intentionally carve out the time, energy, and focus to prevent that from happening.Tune in as we discuss why leadership isn't just about doing more but is also about choosing what to give your attention to. Jilly shares why protecting your energy matters just as much as protecting your time, and we explore how easy it is to let the squeaky wheel hijack your focus. We talk about strategies like the urgent-important matrix and service level agreements, but also the subtler art of saying “no” without feeling guilty. Learning to resist comparison and focusing on your organization's mission instead of someone else's success can make a bigger difference than people realize. We also talk about the seasons of life and work, and how priorities shift over time. We reflect on moving from constant networking to more meaningful conversations, and we share how integrating personal and professional life helps with alignment and with what matters most! We also both share how we try to honor our natural rhythms, protect uninterrupted time for reflection, and avoid letting the “urgent” distract from the work that has the most impact.By the end of this episode, expect to hear how intentional space—not just busy schedules or productivity hacks—creates clarity, energy, and better decisions! We are sharing honest experiences, practical habits, and a few birthday weekend laughs along the way! Tonight on Black Dragon Biker TV: A full plate of MC drama, legal fights, enforcement moves, and must-know survival tips for 2026.Disrespect Between Hells Angels and Bandidos Causes 'Real-World Sons of Anarchy' Biker Gang War on Village Streets in the UKA long-simmering feud between Hells Angels and Bandidos supporters exploded into open violence on the streets of a quiet UK village in late February 2026. The incident — described by local media as a “real-world Sons of Anarchy moment” — involved multiple riders exchanging blows, weapons drawn, and chaos spilling onto public roads. Police made several arrests; tensions remain high. We'll break down what sparked it, how it played out, and why disrespect between these two giants still ignites real-world wars even across the pond.Pagans Member in Wawa Shooting Seeks Dismissal of Charges / Reduction in BailGeorge Hripto Jr. (50, Pagans MC) — one of nine defendants charged in the October 2025 West Norriton Wawa parking lot shootout (six wounded, including two bystanders) — filed a motion to dismiss charges and/or reduce his $500,000 cash bail. Defense argues insufficient evidence on some counts and that bail is “unattainable.” Latest court update came in the last 24–48 hours (as of March 11, 2026). Joint trial for all defendants still scheduled for May 18, 2026. We'll discuss the odds of dismissal, bail strategy in MC cases, and what this means for club members facing long pre-trial detention.Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control Postponed Hearing Related to Alleged Bandidos Biker Bar HangoutThe Arkansas ABC postponed a scheduled March 10, 2026 hearing for Burks Brothers Brewing in Bryant, Arkansas — a bar heavily associated with Bandidos MC members. The postponement came after a June 2025 stabbing/fight at the location involving Bandidos affiliates. ABC issued violations for allowing disorderly conduct, violence, and potential gang activity on premises. Bar owners are fighting to keep the liquor license; a whistleblower lawsuit by a former Bryant PD detective alleges police corruption and interference tied to the bar. Max talks with Mike VanStaagen about the design philosophy behind the Cirrus SR20, SR22, and SF50 Vision Jet, and how Cirrus rethought what pilots and passengers should experience inside an airplane. Mike explains how his architectural mindset helped him bring together competing ideas at Cirrus and turn them into aircraft that felt modern, spacious, intuitive, and comfortable. They discuss why Cirrus focused so heavily on easier entry and exit, better visibility on the ground and in flight, and a roomier cabin than traditional GA airplanes. Mike describes how ideas borrowed from the auto industry shaped the Cirrus cockpit, from the pilot-centered layout to the center console and cleaner instrument panel design. He also shares the story of how a tiny clay model helped convince Cirrus leadership to move away from a conventional flat panel toward the now-familiar Cirrus interior. The conversation then turns to the Vision Jet, including the secret garage project where the concept first took shape, why the aircraft ended up with a distinctive V-tail, and how hours spent inside an early mockup led to key design breakthroughs. This is a fascinating look at how thoughtful design changed modern personal aviation. If you're getting value from this show, please support the show via PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or Patreon. How to Worship God, Not Money. When he smashes together the topics of religious practices (prayer, almsgiving, fasting) and financial practices (hoarding, worrying), Jesus reveals something big: our routinized religious piety runs the risk of disingenuousness, while we show by our output of emotional energy around money where our real worship is concentrated. The Space Show Presents Karen Jones re “SPACEPORTOPIA” Thursday, 2-26-26Quick Summary:This Space Show program focused on spaceport development and launch forecasting, featuring Karen Jones from Aerospace Corporation to discuss her paper “Spaceportopia: A Primer for Successful Launch Site Planning.” The discussion explored the economic challenges of spaceport development, including demand forecasting, regional compatibility, and the risks of irrational exuberance in space industry projections. The Space Show Wisdom Team panel examined several failed spaceport initiatives like Spaceport Michigan and Spaceport Camden, while also discussing the current state of launch infrastructure and the potential for offshore launch sites. The conversation concluded with a debate about Elon Musk's business ventures and the need for more realistic planning in the space industry, with participants agreeing that while visionary thinking is important, it must be grounded in practical considerations and economic analysis.Detailed Summary:David and Dr. Sherry Bell discussed the potential of spaceports, focusing on economic feasibility and regional compatibility. Karen Jones, an expert in space economics, highlighted the importance of grounded economic analysis in spaceport planning, emphasizing the need for realistic forecasting and adaptive strategies. They discussed the challenges of launch demand, congestion at existing spaceports, and the potential for new spaceports, including the much talked about Las Vegas spaceport.David and Karen discussed the economic viability and planning issues of Spaceport America, highlighting how initial reports advised against it but were rewritten to support its construction. They compared this to similar problems with Spaceport Michigan, which overestimated job creation and failed to consider international coordination. Ajay shared insights from his work with AFRL, emphasizing the impracticality of single-stage-to-orbit vehicles, and mentioned a conversation with a Florida senator's staffer who expressed concerns about the lack of spaceport infrastructure needed for planned satellite launches and the Golden Dome project, which Ajay suggested was premature given current capabilities.Karen discussed the classification of space launches as public transportation in Florida to obtain tax-exempt and low-interest bonds, raising concerns about transparency and risk profiles when bundling municipal bonds with spaceport investments. She highlighted lessons learned from the failed Spaceport Camden project in Georgia, emphasizing the need for rigorous economic analysis, transparency, and stakeholder engagement. Ajay and David inquired about economic analysis parameters for spaceports and the status of Spaceport Camden, which Karen explained was abandoned due to environmental concerns, lack of transparency, and competition with other regional interests. We discussed spaceport infrastructure and launch site selection, with Karen explaining that Georgia's spaceport faced challenges due to lack of transparency and local stakeholder concerns rather than infrastructure limitations. They explored the need for launch site diversity to address bottlenecks, with Karen noting that better efficiency at existing bottlenecks could help manage demand. The discussion also covered polar orbits and their importance for various space missions, with Karen highlighting emerging launch sites in the UK, Canada, Norway, and Alaska for sun-synchronous orbits, which are becoming increasingly popular for orbital data centers.David expressed skepticism about the feasibility and demand for offshore rocket launches, while Karen noted logistical challenges and potential niche applications but highlighted the importance of regional economic planning and cluster theory in spaceport development. Karen discussed Michael Porter's cluster theory, emphasizing the role of complementary industries, skills, and infrastructure in creating successful spaceport clusters, and mentioned examples like Spaceport Houston and Florida's space clusters. Ajay inquired about the potential for Wallops Island to develop a similar cluster, and Karen suggested it had some potential but might not reach the scale of Cape Canaveral.Karen emphasized the importance of regional planning for spaceports, advocating for a comprehensive approach that considers alternative land uses and conducts rigorous economic analyses. She highlighted the need for transparency and trust in the community to ensure successful spaceport development. Karen also discussed the challenges of managing “irrational exuberance” in the space industry, suggesting a shift towards more grounded and scalable models. The conversation touched on national security considerations for spaceport development and the potential for increased launch cadence at existing facilities. The team further discussed the impact of technological advancements and market dynamics on spaceport planning and satellite demand. Karen highlighted how miniaturization and multi-orbit constellations could affect long-term demand forecasts, while Ajay emphasized the need for caution in overestimating future market demands. David raised concerns about the lack of clear commercial applications beyond telecommunications, questioning the viability of proposed spaceport capacities. Ajay suggested that current lunar and cislunar opportunities might not significantly impact spaceport requirements in the near term, focusing instead on telecommunications and derivative markets.Another late program topic included the speculative and risky nature of future space projects, with David expressing skepticism about building capacity for speculative needs. Karen raised concerns about the vertical integration of companies like SpaceX and the potential for a “house of cards” in the space economy. Amir and Karen explored the factors influencing the number and location of spaceports, including market demand for satellites and the geopolitics of satellite manufacturing and launch sites. The discussion concluded with Karen noting that many countries are motivated to develop their own spaceports due to increasing geoeconomic competition, though some have made similar mistakes to U.S. planners in their spaceport development.Special thanks to our sponsors:American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Helix Space in Luxembourg, Celestis Memorial Spaceflights, Astrox Corporation, Dr. Haym Benaroya of Rutgers University, The Space Settlement Progress Blog by John Jossy, The Atlantis Project, and Artless EntertainmentOur Toll Free Line for Live Broadcasts: 1-866-687-7223 (Not in service at this time)For real time program participation, email Dr. Space at: drspace@thespaceshow.com for instructions and access. The Space Show is a non-profit 501C3 through its parent, One Giant Leap Foundation, Inc. Host: Dan Panetti My very first episode of T4M was about this idea - who is going to pick up the sock in the living room? Yes…that's what men do - they do what needs to be done, even if it comes at a cost to them! Manhood isn't about advancing yourself, but about using the gifts, talents, and resources that you have to advance others! One man who embodied this concept was General George C. Marshall - and a great book that you can read to learn more about his life, work, and character is Soldier, Statesman, Peacemaker: Leadership Lessons from George C. Marshall by Jack Uldrich. The quote about Abraham Lincoln that is attributed to Robert G. Ingersoll is “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power.” Awesome concept that Lincoln lived out so well. Another great resource to learn more about the concept of humility is Andrew Murray's classic Humility: The Path to Holiness. And I couldn't remember the title of Tim Keller's awesome (and incredibly short) book on this as well - The Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness: The Path to True Christian Joy. Trust me, you'll want to read this and give copies to friends! T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.
The Space Show Presents Dr. Siamak Hesar and Araz Feyzi on the Shenzhou-20 Debris Scare, Tuesday, 2-20-26.Quick Summary:The Space Show hosted a discussion on the orbital debris problem, focusing on the recent Shenzhou 20 debris scare and its implications for space safety. Araz Feyzi and Siamak Hesar from Kayhan Space explained the challenges of tracking and mitigating space debris, highlighting the need for better coordination between satellite operators and advancements in debris removal technology. They discussed Kayhan Space's role in providing space traffic coordination services and their recent collaboration with SpaceX's Stargaze system to enhance debris tracking capabilities. The conversation also touched on the potential risks of Kessler syndrome and the importance of responsible satellite behavior to prevent further debris generation.Detailed Summary:The meeting began with introductions and a discussion focusing on the Shenzhou debris scare in low Earth orbit but is not limited to that topic. Our guest Araz explained the orbital debris problem. We addressed the risks and concerns associated with space debris, particularly in the context of recent Chinese human spaceflight missions. The conversation also touched on the business of Kayhan Space and how it relates to addressing these space debris issues.Araz discussed the rapid growth in satellite launches over the past decade, highlighting the shift from large, expensive government satellites to smaller, affordable commercial ones. He explained the increasing threat of orbital debris, estimating over a million pieces larger than 1 centimeter in diameter, and described a recent incident involving a crack in a Chinese space station caused by debris. David asked about the risks to astronauts during spacewalks and the pressure implications of a cracked space station window, which Siamak addressed by explaining that while spacesuit damage is possible, the probability of collision is low due to the small target area, and the ISS team performs collision avoidance maneuvers when necessary. The discussion continued to focus on space debris and its potential risks to satellites and astronauts. Araz explained that while some debris can be tracked, there are objects too small to monitor, which pose a risk of causing damage if they strike a satellite or astronaut during a spacewalk. Siamak addressed David's question about the internal pressure of a spacecraft not causing an explosive depressurization if a window is cracked, noting that spacecraft windows are thick and undergo rigorous testing to prevent such incidents. Araz also described how a crack in a spacecraft window was repaired during a spacewalk after it was struck by an undetectable piece of debris, allowing the crew to safely return to Earth in a different capsule. The challenges and solutions for orbital debris in low Earth orbit (LEO), highlighting the recent growth of space activity and the need for coordinated efforts to mitigate debris were brought to our attention. Araz emphasized the importance of preventing new debris creation, particularly addressing large, uncontrolled pieces of debris that pose a significant threat if they collide. Siamak noted the recent scale of the problem and mentioned ongoing efforts by companies like Astroscale to develop technologies for debris removal. Both speakers agreed that preventing new debris and managing existing large debris are critical steps toward reducing the orbital debris threat.Challenges and opportunities related to removing space debris, with Siamak and Araz agreeing that technology exists to de-spin and capture large debris objects but is hampered by regulatory frameworks, were a major part of their talking points. Siamak highlighted the need for legal frameworks to allow commercial companies to address debris while preventing misuse of technology, and Marshall brought up the potential impact of gravitational forces from celestial bodies like Jupiter and asteroids on debris orbits. The conversation concluded with Siamak noting an encouraging trend among satellite operators, who are increasingly prioritizing spaceflight safety in their mission planning and proposals. The Wisdom Team discussed the Kessler syndrome, a scenario where debris in low Earth orbit could make space travel impossible. John Hunt explained that debris collisions depend on orbital paths, while Siamak recalled a significant collision between a Cosmos and Iridium satellite. Araz highlighted that while some operators like Starlink are taking precautions to avoid creating debris, irresponsible behavior by some companies still exists. The team agreed that while Kessler syndrome is a serious concern, responsible behavior by satellite operators could help prevent it.Siamak discussed the evolving nature of space debris and conjunctions, noting that while the number of potential collisions between debris and operational satellites remains high, the risk is mitigated by the increasing number of maneuverable satellites actively avoiding collisions. Araz highlighted the importance of coordination between satellite operators to prevent unintended risks, particularly when dealing with maneuverable satellites from different countries, and mentioned that some operators have established guidelines for responsible behavior in space. Both speakers emphasized the need for continued vigilance and collaboration to prevent Kessler syndrome and ensure space flight safety. The team also discussed space debris and tracking capabilities. Siamak explained that recent advancements in the Space Surveillance Network, including the Space Fence radar, allow for better detection of smaller debris down to 3 centimeters, though tracking remains challenging for low-density objects. They discussed methods for dealing with geostationary satellites at the end of their life, including raising their orbit to a “graveyard” orbit. Araz mentioned that telescopes and passive RF techniques are used to track debris in geostationary orbit, while John Jossy highlighted SpaceX's new Stargaze system, which significantly increases detection capability through star trackers. Our two guests announced a new space tracking capability using star trackers, which can monitor approximately 60-70% of objects that radars can track. Araz explained that this technology, developed through a government contract, allows for better space situational awareness by leveraging the numerous star trackers already in orbit, particularly on Starlink satellites. The company, Kayan Space, provides the SATCAT platform which integrates this data with government systems and other tracking sources to help satellite operators safely plan maneuvers, with the ability to automatically generate collision avoidance instructions.Kayhan Space's data aggregation platform SATCAT.com, which provides space flight safety services for commercial and government satellites was talked about. Siamak explained that the company is 7 years old and venture-backed, currently focusing on execution and R&D while still raising capital. Araz discussed their tracking capabilities and how multiple tracking systems can provide more accurate data when combined. Our guests said that the company is hiring engineers and marketing/business development staff and is working to coordinate global space traffic through shared intentions and maneuvers between operators.Special thanks to our sponsors:American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Helix Space in Luxembourg, Celestis Memorial Spaceflights, Astrox Corporation, Dr. Tonight on Black Dragon Biker TV: A heavy lineup of MC violence, courtroom outcomes, Bike Week chaos, parole denials, and a bold political run.North Las Vegas Police: Shooting Between 2 Motorcycle Gang Members Outside Bar Turns DeadlyLate-night gunfire outside a bar in North Las Vegas left one man dead and another injured. Police confirmed it stemmed from a confrontation between two motorcycle gang members. No names or club affiliations released publicly yet, but the investigation is treating it as targeted gang violence. North Las Vegas PD is seeking witnesses; surveillance and witness statements are key. Another reminder of how quickly things can escalate outside the clubhouse.Man Stabbed in 2023 Biker Clash in Cornwall Found Not Guilty of Firearms ChargesIn Cornwall, Ontario, a man involved in a violent 2023 biker-related clash (stabbing incident tied to a local MC dispute) was found not guilty on firearms charges. The jury acquitted him after evidence showed he was not the aggressor with a gun. The stabbing victim survived; the case highlighted ongoing tensions in Canadian biker circles. Defense argued self-defense and lack of proof on the firearm possession.Betty Boop Busted as Daytona Bike Week Officially StartsDaytona Bike Week 2026 kicked off with a bang — and an arrest. A woman dressed as (or nicknamed) Betty Boop was busted during opening weekend festivities in Volusia County. Charges reportedly include disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and/or resisting arrest amid the massive crowds. Volusia Sheriff's deputies say she was disruptive at a main event area. Classic Bike Week drama — the party starts, but so do the cuffs.Inmate Who Killed Quebec Biker-Turned-Informant Behind Bars Denied ParoleThe man convicted in the murder of a former Quebec biker who flipped and became a police informant has been denied parole. The killer remains incarcerated after the board cited ongoing public safety concerns, lack of remorse, and the severity of the crime (tied to Hells Angels-related investigations). This keeps the spotlight on Quebec's long-running outlaw MC probes and informant protections.Coroner-Elect Stapleton's Official Announcement – Running for Douglas County, GA Coroner in 2028A local Georgia biker has officially thrown his hat in the ring: Coroner-Elect Stapleton announced his candidacy for Douglas County Coroner in the 2028 election. Platform emphasizes transparency, dignity for families, and bringing real-world experience (including biker community knowledge) to the office. Campaign launch details shared tonight — watch for how this plays in Georgia MC circles.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-dragon-s-lair-motorcycle-chaos--3267493/support.Sponsor the channel by signing up for our channel memberships. The incident involved a targeted attack, beatings, and theft. Convictions include assault, robbery, and related charges after a trial that highlighted club rivalries and enforcement. Sentences pending or recently handed down—details on who got what time coming up.Lubbock Bandidos Chapter President Federally Charged in Meth Distribution CaseThe president of the Lubbock, Texas Bandidos chapter (widely known as "Hot Tub") is facing serious federal charges in a meth distribution conspiracy. The indictment accuses him of leading or participating in a network trafficking methamphetamine across West Texas. DEA and federal prosecutors are building a strong case with wiretaps, informants, and seized drugs/money. This is a big hit to the chapter—federal time is no joke.Bandidos Member 'Hot Tub,' Leader of the Lubbock Bandidos MC, Seems to Be in Some Hot Water with the LawSame story as above. "Hot Tub" (real name not always public in early reports) is the chapter president now federally indicted. The nickname has been all over biker forums and news since the charges dropped. Have any questions, insights, or feedback? Send me a text!Length: 1 hour 40 minutesSynopsis: This evening (3/5/25), in our Thursday night women's shiur, we continued our exploration of Rabbeinu Yonah on bitachon. The bad news is that I didn't have a chance to prepare. The good news is that our review went SO far in-depth that we ended up covering a whole lot that I hadn't planned. In the text of Rabbeinu Yonah, we only read one additional sentence, but our understanding of bitachon was sharpened AND deepened. Next time (בג"ה) we'll attempt to finish the Rabbeinu Yonah on our pasuk.-----מקורות:רבינו יונה - משלי ג:ורמב"ם - משנה תורה: הקדמה, חלוקת הספריםרמב"ם - מורה הנבוכים ג:נאשמות לג:יג,יח-יטאבות ב:דר' אברהם בן הרמב"ם - בראשית כח:כ-----The Torah content this week is sponsored by Avital and Yitzy Richter. Airline pilot career path roadmap with Jason Blair: Part 61 vs Part 141, R-ATP, and what matters most for getting hired. Max talks with Jason Blair about building an airline pilot career path that gets you to the right seat faster—without expensive detours. If you're comparing Part 61 vs Part 141, wondering whether R-ATP changes your strategy, or trying to figure out what actually helps with getting hired, this episode is a practical roadmap. Jason explains how to think backwards from your target job (regional, major airline, charter, corporate) and make training decisions that protect your timeline and seniority. They start with the gatekeeper: the FAA medical. Jason shares how to "preflight" potential medical issues, avoid self-inflicted paperwork delays, and choose the right AME strategy. Then they break down training options: where Part 141 structure can reduce total hours and accelerate progress, and where Part 61 flexibility makes more sense for career changers balancing work and family. Jason also clarifies restricted ATP (R-ATP) pathways and a common mistake that can eliminate eligibility if you do training in the wrong order. Finally, they cover the hiring reality: why airlines are becoming more selective again, how checkride failures and training history show up, and how to present your story like a professional. They close with the unglamorous stuff that wins careers: clean logbooks, backups, and smart training finances. Mighty Blue On The Appalachian Trail: The Ultimate Mid-Life Crisis
We have a husband and wife hiking duo on the show today. Mosey and Sourpatch hiked the Appalachian Trail last year, needing to get it done before Sourpatch's eye condition deteriorated further. On the way, they found purpose in several ways, with Mosey on the logistics as Sourpatch carried a bunch of military dog tags on to Katahdin. Summiting Katahdin on 9/11 with two previous guests of the podcast–Tony Roddy (Silverback) and Rob Diamond (Dog Tag)–gave extra meaning to their hike. You can check out their pictures from their hike and other adventures at (@advenutreswithcrystalandwill) • Instagram profile. Tristen Murphy, from the Hike the Good Hike cohort, returns to the show to tell us why she has switched the focus of her upcoming hike from the John Muir Trail. Find out where she's going now. Then, my latest accountability blog ties up a few loose ends as I prepare for my own thru-hike next Monday. Don't forget; you can follow me on my hike this year by going to Polarsteps.com/MightyBlue and clicking on the follow button. I used my hike in 2024 on the South West Coast Path in the UK to help raise money for my absolute favorite charity, Parenting Matters, on whose board I've been privileged to serve for over a decade. You can learn more about the hike and the organization–and donate–by visiting Hike with Steve - Empowering Parents, One Step at a Time | Parenting Matters %. I hope you want to support this critical mission. Don't forget. Our entire series of videos from our Woods Hole Weekend in 2022 is now FREE and available at my YouTube page at Woods Hole Weekend - Trailer There, you'll find all sorts of tips and tricks that our guests took away from the weekend that helped them with their own hikes this year. Check it out. I often ask listeners for ideas on who to interview, and I'm sure several of you say, "I could do that. I've got an awesome story to tell." You're the person we need to hear from. If you'd like to be interviewed on the podcast, just register as a guest on the link below, and I'll be in touch. Come on the show! If you like what we're doing on the Hiking Radio Network, and want to see our shows continue, please consider supporting us with either a one-off or monthly donation. You'll find the donate button on each Hiking Radio Network page at Hiking Radio Network . Additionally, you can join our membership at Steve (Mighty Blue) Adams. Have any questions, insights, or feedback? Send me a text!Length: 31 minutesSynopsis: This morning (3/5/26), in lieu of our usual morning Mishlei, we had a Q&A session! We discussed four questions: (1) What's the nature of the halacha of "learning the halachos of the chag 30 days before the chag"? (2) How necessary is it for people to read and understand every line of the Haggadah? (3) Why do I prefer Mishlei over Gemara b'iyun? (4) Is there any idea of having a recurring seudas hodaah on the anniversary of an event one feels grateful for?-----מקורות:רמב"ם - משנה תורה: ספר המדע, הלכות תלמוד תורהרמב"ם - ספר המצוות: עשה קנ"זרמב"ם - משנה תורה: ספר זמנים, הלכות חמץ ומצה ז:א-ב,ו; ח:בריטב"א - הלכות פסח, מוסד הרב קוק עמוד יא רמב"ם - משנה תורה: ספר אהבה, הלכות ברכות י:כורמב"ם - משנה תורה: ספר אהבה, הלכות תפילה וברכת כהנים ט:זhttps://rabbischneeweiss.substack.com/p/tzav-korban-todah-thanking-god-withhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jH9AbgnRgPw-----The Torah content this week is sponsored by Avital and Yitzy Richter. A Crisis of Authority. Six times, Jesus speaks a formula that is intended to provoke a crisis in the listeners' hearts: “You have heard it said... But I say to you...” Does he mean to open up the conversation about calcified religious law, doubling down on personal moral agency while releasing us from the scrutiny of rigorous watchdogs? (Yes.) To tell us your thoughts on this sermon, click through to the web posting and leave us a comment. Or, find us on social media: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Or, email us the old-fashioned way: info@galileochurch.org. Host: Dan Panetti In reading Mark chapters 14 and 15, you'll discover two very different leadership “styles” - one of Jesus who modeled service, surrender, and sacrifice - and one of Pilate (Roman prefect/governor) who modeled position, performance, and power. What do you think you embody as a leader…in your home, at work, in the community? Some great resources to help you wrestle with these concepts are: The Awe of God: The Astounding Way a Healthy Fear of God Transforms Your Life by John Bevere A Long Obedience in the Same Direction: Discipleship in an Instant Society by Eugene Peterson Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap…and Others Don't by Jim Collins T4M guys - just a reminder that Training4Manhood is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) ministry and you can make donations either via Zelle (info@training4manhood.com) or by visiting the Training4Manhood website.

Max talks with Josh Harnagel, COO of Redbird Flight, about a practical use-case that matters to almost every instrument pilot: logging IFR instrument currency and staying proficient in an FAA-approved simulator. Josh explains why many pilots buy Redbird's FAA-approved tabletop devices specifically for currency—especially to knock out the holding requirement—and why he likes shooting an approach in the simulator before flying it in the airplane. Max shares why he does the same thing before recurrent training, because simulator reps surface the "gotchas" that can spike workload in real IFR—like autopilot behavior on LNAV+V. Josh breaks down Redbird's product lineup, clarifies what's FAA approved versus "just a computer," and explains where Basic ATDs and Advanced ATDs fit in training. They also touch on Redbird GIFT (Guided Independent Flight Training), remote instruction possibilities, and why avionics emulation is hard (and expensive) to do with perfect fidelity. Then the episode pivots to a Redbird factory tour: outbound shipping and crating, assembly workflow, fabrication of honeycomb aluminum shells, wiring harness and switch panel build, PCB soldering and parts inventory, completions/testing, and even the cooling/vent system inside the sim—ending with why engineering and the shop are co-located for faster iteration and better quality. Mighty Blue On The Appalachian Trail: The Ultimate Mid-Life Crisis
Tom Bennett, or Porkie is today's guest. Tom had an epic adventure on the Long Trail in Vermont, sharing with us the family connection he has to the trail. It wasn't a straightforward hike, with serious injury and recovery, plus dramatic floods punctuating his efforts over two years. He remained resilient and completed his mission after his various mishaps. Tim also wrote a blog of his journey for the Trek, which you can read here at Tim Bennett, Author at The Trek . He has now written a book about both his and his father's hikes, which will be available later in the year. When I get that link, I'll put it in future show notes. For now, you can visit his website, http://www.longtrailhiker.com/ and sign up to be notified when the book is available. Ben Kaplan completed the lineup for the Hike the Good Hike cohort, as he talked about leading AMC winter hikes while finding solace in his solo outdoor adventures. Follow Ben on Instagram at Ben Kaplan (@adbenture_times) • Instagram profile My accountability blog is revealing the culmination of my preparations for my own upcoming AT thru-hike. I'm beyond ready to get out there!
