Wickedness of Man vs The Loving kindness of God!
How do humans define kindness? How does humanism define kindness? What is kindness in Hinduism? What is kindness in Islam? How does the Bible define kindness? Kindness in the scriptures is acting in benevolence with no obligation to do so. Kindness of God in the OT Genesis 24:12 Joshua 2:12 Nehemiah 9:17 Isaiah 54:10 Jonah 4:2 God does not define kindness as just being nice. Kindness of God in the NT Luke 6:35 Romans 2:4 Romans 3:12 Romans 11:32 The kindness of Christ culminated on the cross. The post Fruit of the Spirit in Christ 7: The Kindness of God first appeared on Living Hope.
Kindness lies at the centre of our story. We are a people saved by the kindness of God and so we are called to reflect that same kindness in our lives. So what does this kindness look like? In Hosea 11:1-11, we see how God demonstrates a kindness to us that is costly, compassionate and compelling. Hosea 11:1-11
The kindness of God is central to the story of salvation. In Titus 3:3-8, Paul reminds us of the transformation that takes place through God's mercy and love. This passage invites us to examine our response to His kindness which is bespoke and powerful—whether in unbelief, or misunderstanding.
God doesn't have to give us little kindnesses … but he does. Astonishing.
What is God's kindness? And how can you fight against the voices that try to steal it away? Today's podcast focuses on God's goodness and kindness by walking through Psalm 118 and John 10.Check out Holy Fire Ministry Training School's Warrior Unit, beginning on 3 FEB 2025. There is a dimension of grace called favor, that God visibly displays in His kindness toward us through Jesus Christ. While it will take all of eternity for the fullness of this favor to be unveiled, it is nonetheless being revealed to us right now. In today's teaching, we will look at several aspects of God's favor from the story of King David (a picture of Christ) in the kindness that he displayed to Jonathan's son, Mephibosheth.

King Ahaz illustrates how true character is revealed in times of adversity. In adverse circumstances, Christians reveal that our hope, comfort, and help is in the Lord.
Guard your Gratitude! 1 Thessalonians 5:19 provides a staunch reminder that we are not to “quench the Spirit” in our lives. In other words, we have the potential to stunt or stoke or the move of God in our lives. However, Paul instructs us as men and women of faith to engage in three distinct and practices that can help create an atmosphere conducive to the Lord having HIs way in our lives: rejoicing always, praying continually, and giving thanks in ALL circumstances for this is God's will for our lives through Christ Jesus (1 Thes. 5:16-18). There will be things that threaten to quench the Spirit of God in your life. There will be circumstances, experiences, interactions, seasons, and relationships that threaten to rob you of the joy that God has prepared for you, but today as we enter this Thanksgiving week we wanted to encourage your heart and remind you that we serve a Good, Faithful, Loving, and Consistent Father who is a God of Healing, Restoration, Redemption, and Provision. Therefore, joining us today on the podcast to share his testimony is a man who understands the power of praise, Micah Tyler. Micah is a renowned Christian singer, songwriter, and worship leader who has countless accolades, awards, and chart-topping songs, but what I love most about Micah is his unwavering devotion to the Lord, his wife Casey, and his 3 beautiful children. Our prayer is that through today's conversation you would be encouraged to look for God, even in the most challenging times, knowing that you can and will find Him in whatever season of life you find yourself in. And remember this my friends, even if God does nothing else, He has already done enough! Be sure to give Him your thanks and your praise, because He is worthy of those things! Happy Thanksgiving! October 07 2024 Monday Week 24 / Your Place In Him The Kindness Of God #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word. That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. My Prayers For The World Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT 'Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.' Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.' His letter to the Galations is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith. Paul begins by setting forth his credentials as an apostle with a message from God: blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. The law declares men guilty and imprisons them; faith sets men free to enjoy liberty in Christ. But liberty is not license. Freedom in Christ means freedom to produce the fruits of righteousness through a Spirit-led lifestyle. Scripture: 2 Samuel 9
In this sermon, Ian Grigsby recounts the events of Ruth and Boaz's introduction, as well as a powerful statement made by Naomi about the unfailing kindness of God.
THE UNMERITED KINDNESS OF GOD, Marco Monroy by Community of Faith
David, in keeping his word to Saul, pursues and extends kindness towards Mephibosheth; the crippled son of Jonathan who can offer David nothing. This is the lavished kindness God has extended towards all those by faith in His Son, that we would both receive that kindness and feast at the King's table as His family, as well as extend that kindness towards others like David did.
When kindness is shown to us—whether it's as small as a smile from a stranger, or as big as someone meeting a need at a desperate time in our lives—we see and feel goodness that is often unexplainable. If we look for them, we can find these divine kindnesses each day, those big and little nods from God that bring us hope and comfort, even in the darkest of hours. These moments are powerful reminders of the sustaining force of divine kindness and the enduring faith it nurtures. Founders of the ministry Bottle of Tears Chris and Lindsey Wheeler share the challenges they faced after adopting their daughter, Eliana, from Guatemala, all while navigating Lindsey's development of a rare autoimmune disease, and how the kindness of God kept them from despairing. Later in the episode, we'll hear from Bryan Crum, a hospice chaplain, who shares what he has learned from spending time with people in their final days and how God shows up in their last moments to demonstrate His sustaining kindness. Why is this my story? Why have you chosen us to be Eliana's parents? We are not capable of this. Why did you choose me to have a disease at the same time? It just felt so unfair.” - Lindsey Wheeler “I laid on my bed crying and asking God, ‘How do I do this? How do I run this race when I am homebound?'” - Lindsey Wheeler “God was so cool that I got a front row seat to watch people comfort their friends and family, and I was able to read their letters of encouragement and hope to their friends and family, and it gave me encouragement. It helped me to push forward.” - Lindsey Wheeler “My body continues to fail me, but God hasn't. He has not failed me. And I feel just more confident and more alive than I have in a long time, knowing that He is using me still in the midst of my pain.” - Lindsey Wheeler “My prayer in those moments is, ‘Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.' Because sometimes that's all you got.” - Chris Wheeler “It's humbling just to be invited into people's homes, into their lives at a time when each moment, each minute is just more valuable because you know they're the final ones.” - Bryan Crum “We let unsaid words hold us in place. And it's almost like this ancient, heavy anchor that ties us down. I've learned that we often need a little nudge to remind us we can untie our boats from that anchor and float away at any time.” - Bryan Crum “We don't have to wait to see what our lives will be like at the end of our stories. Imagine now what you think that final scene of your life is going to be like. And if you don't like what it looks like, make course corrections today. Make the changes now. There's a welcoming home waiting for us.” - Bryan Crum ________________________ Enjoy watching these additional videos from Jesus Calling YouTube channel! Many attempts have been made to define the grace of God. One definition, using an acronym says “Grace is God's riches at Christ's expense.” Perhaps the most common definition of grace is “unmerited favor.” Another says that grace is “God's favor toward the unworthy.” All of these definitions are helpful as we consider this incredible attribute of God. I suppose my favorite definition is that grace is “God's undeserved kindness.”Main Points:1. Think about it. God has been so kind to us. Consider all God has given you and all He has done in your life. Why? Why would God be so kind? What have you done to earn the kindness of our Almighty God? What have you done to deserve such affection and goodwill? Nothing. Not a thing. Nada. 2. You and I have received God's kindness because of His grace. Prompted by the love we can't fully understand, God demonstrates His kindness in our lives by giving us His Son, Jesus, to be our savior. It's because of His grace we have been forgiven. It's through His grace we have a relationship with Him. 3. Maybe today, you need God's grace. Perhaps you need forgiveness of sins. Reach out to God. Ask Him for His grace. He is generous to those who call on him.Today's Scripture Verses:Ephesians 2:8-9 - “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”Psalm 103:10 - “He does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.”Romans 5:20 - “… But where sin increased, grace increased all the more”Quick Links:Subscribe to The 5 Minute Discipleship NewsletterDonate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group
