What do we do with guilt? Is conviction something to fear—or could it actually be one of the ways God lovingly draws us back to Himself? In part two of this conversation with Pastor Matt King, we talk honestly about sin, confession, repentance, and the difference between shame and guilt. We unpack why guilt, when understood rightly, isn't meant to crush us, but can be a gift of God's kindness that leads us back into relationship with Him. We also explore what it means when we don't feel convicted, the importance of confession in the Christian life, “gospel gaps” between what we believe and how we live, and how the Church is meant to walk with one another through sin with both truth and grace. 0:00 - How are shame and guilt different? 8:00 - Dealing with guilt 14:00 - Shame and guilt proneness 29:00 - What if we don't feel convicted? 38:00 - Confession and repentance 48:00 - Counseling and the Church 56:00 - Corporate confession 1:02:00 - Sharing vs. burdening A BIG THANKS TO OUR SPONSOR, NEERALTA, BUILDERS OF GRAIN STORAGE AND HANDLING EQUIPMENT. One of the marvellous attributes of God is His wonderful kindness. Titus Chapter 3, for example, says in verse 4 and 5 the following tremendous words: “But after that the KINDNESS and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us.” God is certainly kind toward us.The most extravagant expression was in the giving of His Son over 2000 years ago for our salvation. Do YOU know anything about the exceeding riches of the kindness of God to you through Christ?

Sunday Service, April 12th 2 Samuel 9 Lead Pastor Tim Davis @ Christ The King Church. A non-denominational Christian Church located in Canby, OR. (www.ctkcanby.com)
In this episode of Sermon Spotlight, we take a deeper dive into Mark 14 and the powerful picture of Jesus' costly kindness in His final hours before the cross.Caleb Pearson is joined by Mark Carey and Jessica Oplack, as they explore what stood out from the weekend sermon, including: The difference between being nice and being truly kind How Jesus chose to spend His final moments—with purpose, sacrifice, and truth The depth behind the trials of Jesus and the fulfillment of Scripture What it means that Jesus remained fully in control—even in suffering The tension between His humanity and His mission As we approach Easter, this conversation helps us slow down and reflect on the weight of what Christ endured—and the kindness He extended to us through it all.
“The Costly Kindness of God”Mark 14:43:72Having recently completed our series “None Like Jesus” let's continue to “Behold Him” by embarking on a new study through the Gospel of Mark. Mark's Gospel is the shortest of the four Gospels and it is action-packed from start to finish – as evidenced by the word “immediately” used over 40 times. Mark wrote to believers, probably Roman believers, who were no strangers to persecution. And he wanted to disciple his readers to be strong in their faith by encouraging them to look to their Mighty Messiah, the Son of God, who remained steadfastly faithful even while becoming their Suffering Servant who died for them. Mark's Gospel is a call to all believers to fearlessly “Follow Jesus” because they can trust Him completely.
We're not just a church. We're a Family. Our Vision is clear, simple, and unique. Our vision is Jesus in you. Our vision is for the people of God to have a faith that holds them. The kind of faith that vanquishes doubt, verifies identity, and voraciously contends for inner peace. A faith that removes the past, clarifies the present, and breathes life into the future. Our vision is the Kingdom of God built within the people of this obscure, yet mighty generation. A kingdom so great that its purpose destroys the common lack of self worth. A kingdom that sharpens the eyes, tenses the muscles, and readies itself for the battle against darkness. A Kingdom that brings purpose and healing to those who have failed more than succeeded, who are sinners more than saints, and who have known more pain than pleasure. Our vision is to challenge the weak and unproductive church of our day. To step beyond those who are religiously immature and search out those who for their love for Christ cannot be offended. Our hope is to raise warriors instead of those who think God only exists to keep bad things from happening. To raise those who know that following Christ means suffering loss yet gaining all things. Our vision is clear, simple, and unique…. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Why does God save anyone? Why does he forgive anyone's sins, and make his people alive in Christ?I. Because of his rich mercy, v4a. II. Because of his great love, v4b. III. Because of his immeasurable grace, vv5-7. IV. Because of his kindness in Christ, v7.

Pastor Banning Liebscher reminds us that the gospel is the only true hope for both the world and the Church. As we submit our lives to God and align our hearts with His, we begin to reflect the righteousness and unity that only the gospel can produce. If we're going to carry this good news to others, we must do it marked by the radical kindness and humility God has shown us.

Acts 9:32-43 32 Now as Peter went here and there among them all, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda. 33 There he found a man named Aeneas, bedridden for eight years, who was paralyzed. 34 And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; rise and make your bed.” […] The post The Kindness of God Leads to Repentance (Acts 9:32-43) first appeared on Hope of Christ Church.
Bo Noonan concludes our series in Ruth by reflecting on the quiet, steadfast kindness of God that turned Naomi's bitterness into joy. In the loss and emptiness God's hidden hand was at work, preparing not only restoration for Naomi and Ruth, but salvation for the world through the line of David, fulfilled in Jesus. This closing scene invites us to trust that even when we cannot see it, God is faithfully working for our good and his glory.
Pastor Gerrit teaches through 2 Samuel 10–11, beginning with David's kindness to the new Ammonite king and how suspicion and bad counsel escalate a simple gesture into a larger conflict. As the narrative moves into chapter 11, the focus shifts to David at home, where he neglects his responsibilities as king, commits adultery with Bathsheba, and arranges the death of Uriah. Pastor Gerrit emphasizes how unchecked desires and the abuse of power lead to serious consequences, showing the need for repentance and reliance on God's guidance.

Have you noticed recently that kindness seems to be in short supply? Many of today's political and social leaders have been sowing more hostility than generosity, and even the church can get caught up in all the tension. But on this episode of The Verdict Pastor John Munro encourages us to be givers of kindness by recognizing the grace we have received, from God.
When life gets messy, we can sometimes get fixated on our problems. But when we do that, we forget something vitally important—that our good God is still in control. Pastor John Munro has an encouraging lesson from the book of Ruth about discovering and focusing on The Kindness of God.

Mephibosheth and the Kindness of God | 2 Samuel 9 | Pastor Steve Berger
This is a good news story. King David made a place for an undeserving outcast named Mephibosheth at his family's royal table, and the table covered his brokenness - a foreshadowing of the invitation for every one of us to be seated at table of the Most High even though we don't deserve it. ---------SUBSCRIBE ▶️ Receive our latest videos:https://www.youtube.com/c/PastorSteve...ABOUTPastor, author and speaker Steve Berger is known for his straight talk in dealing with various hot-topic cultural issues that many pastors avoid.
