David Muhlbaum has been covering cars and car maintenance for Kiplinger.com and Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine since 2012.  Inspired when he was a boy by writers including P.J. O’Rourke and David E. Davis, David was bitten by the car bug long ago and that infection remains today. He’s the designated car guy at Kiplinger’s personal finance publication. He writes consumer-focused information that is useful to people who see cars as simply expensive appliances in a way that is still amusing to automotive aficionados and enthusiasts. Kiplinger’s approach to automotive content is this: How can we help save you money? David’s passion for cars goes back to his first two words, “away-away” – baby talk for "wheel.” 

Pete Biro is a photographer and journalist whose 50 plus year career started when Road & Track magazine asked him to supply them with a story on the Barneson Special, a custom-made sports car. The iconic David E. Davis Jr. discovered Pete’s work and gave him assignments for Car and Driver magazines. Pete and David traveled the world covering races including Le Mans, Grand Prix’s, and most major races and he shot for Sports Illustrated, Time, Life and many others. He met and became friends with many of the great drivers including: Dan Gurney, Phil Hill, Bruce Mclaren, Denny Hulme, Jackie Stewart, A.J. Foyt, Richard Petty and many others. He worked for Dan Gurney as a public relations guy during the time Bobby Unser won the Indy 500. His latest endeavor is supplying photos for the new book Can-Am 50th Anniversary collaborating with author George Levy.

Larry Crane, who lives in Thousand Oaks, California, is the car guys car guy. He’s a fine artist whose artistry has been the design of automotive posters and publications. From the programs for Riverside Raceway in the Sixties, to editing and designing Ferrari magazines, his work at Auto Afficionado, a major redesign of Motor Trend in the Seventies to his founding, editing, and designing Vintage Racer magazine, and his days with David E. Davis Jr. at Automobile magazine, he’s had a creative hand in hundreds of projects. He is also a visiting professor of automotive design history at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Larry Crane is the quintessential Car Guy.

Behold the future of Ford! Well, we're sure our guest won't giveaway ALL the secrets, but if you want to know where Ford design is headed, tune in this week for Joel Piaskowski who is Ford's Director of Exterior Design for the Americas. As you may remember, Joel recently came from Hyundai where he was responsible for the fresh design language of the Sonata and other models out on the roads now. We can't wait to find out what he's got in store for the blue oval's product line. We'll also take some time to remember David E. Davis Jr., a former AAH guest and an outspoken automotive legend who died earlier this week. Does this mark the end of the enthusiast magazines as we know them?
