De uitkomst van het werk van informateur Sybrand Buma is complex, iets voor fijnproevers. Hij zette een tikje achteloos het hele Binnenhof onder druk. Iedereen wilde toch tempo maken? Nou dan moet de nieuwe en voorlaatste fase op 30 januari helemaal afgerond zijn. Daarna ontvangt formateur Rob Jetten zijn kandidaat-bewindslieden. Jaap Jansen en PG Kroeger analyseren het Buma-debat in de Tweede Kamer en de resultaten, afspraken en dilemma's in het positiespel eromheen. Maar haar profiel doet een brein vermoeden dat niet voor één gat te vangen is. Als collegevoorzitter van de Universiteit Maastricht en voorzitter van het Nationaal Groeifonds is zij vast buitengewoon gemotiveerd, want die rollen maakten haar een van de hardst getroffenen van het beleid van Schoof. Buma's eindadvies maakt duidelijk dat de ‘uitgestoken hand’ Samen aan de slag voor een sterker Nederland van Jetten en Henri Bontenbal een basisdocument is voor de vervolggesprekken met de VVD en andere fracties die willen meedenken. Een meerderheidskabinet blijft daarbij in beeld, zeker bij D66 en CDA. Wie dat blijft blokkeren laadt het odium op zich, niet te handelen in het landsbelang. In het debat over het eindverslag van Buma schoot Laurens Dassen van Volt in de roos met nadruk op krachtige eensgezindheid van ons land in Europa tegenover Trumps haatdragende Nationale Veiligheidsstrategie ten gunste van het Kremlin. Terwijl Geert Wilders als enige bij Buma had laten weten helemaal niets te zien in het document en verder praten geen zin had, toonde Rob Jetten zich reeds minister-presidentiëel. De fractievoorzitters stelden hem zoveel vragen dat het leek alsof zijn kabinet er al was. Ideologisch - “Het wordt geen neo-liberaal kabinet” - en pragmatisch gaf hij zijn visitekaartje af. De VVD wilde nu aan tafel, maar bewoog zich wiebelig tussen de bluf van de voorbije weken en het besef niet meer te kunnen domineren zonder echte bondgenoten. GroenLinks-PvdA wilde geen minderheidskabinet, waardoor het nu buitenspel staat. Maar wel in het besef dat elk nieuw kabinet zonder de grootste fractie in de Eerste Kamer vrijwel niets kan uitrichten. Het CDA wil in een nieuwe politieke cultuur ‘de VVD een tweede kans laten verdienen’. Voor de goede verstaander: reken niet op nog een vierde informateur na Letschert. Sybrand Buma gaf schijnbaar mild een harde boodschap mee. Formeren draait om geven, nemen, gunnen, besef van urgentie en aandacht voor de uitvoering. Rianne Letschert zal geen vrijblijvende 'tussenfase' begeleiden, waarschuwde hij. En Letschert zelf beseft de complexiteit van haar opdracht. Folge 189: Diesmal haben die Soulfood Passionistas das gemacht, was sie am besten können: sich an einen schönen Ort setzen, Champagner trinken und so tun, als wäre alles davon beruflich absolut notwendig. Schauplatz: der Rheinauhafen. Begleitung: DP P2 im Glas. Gast: ein Mann, dessen Nachname erst buchstabiert werden muss, bevor man ihn aussprechen darf: Yuriy Apelyushynskyy – geboren in Odessa, gelandet in Berlin, angekommen im Leben als Maitre und Macher im Ox und Klee in Köln.Ein Kind der 90er-Jahre, einer Zeit, in der die Alt-Sowjetunion mehr Krimi als Kultur war und eine Mutter irgendwann sagte: „Mein Sohn wächst hier nicht auf. Fertig.“ Eine dieser Entscheidungen, die im Rückblick so klar wirken, dass man sich fragt, warum sie niemand früher getroffen hat. Yuriy erzählt von einem Odessa, in dem Menschen immer lachten – selbst wenn man nicht wusste, warum. Von Hafenluft, die täglich die halbe Welt vor die Haustür spülte. Und davon, dass Multikulti für ihn so selbstverständlich war, dass Berlin eher wie eine logische Fortsetzung wirkte als wie ein Neuanfang.Zwischendurch versuchen Carsten und Buddy, seinen Namen auszusprechen, scheitern aber so elegant, dass es schon wieder Sympathie erzeugt. Jedes Mal, wenn „Apel-Juschinski“ durch den Raum segelt, lacht Yuriy höflich – und man spürt, wie viele Jahre Übung hinter diesem Lachen stecken. Das Gespräch driftet von Herkunft zu Humor, von Kultur zu Küchenphilosophie, und irgendwann entsteht dieser seltene Moment, in dem man merkt: Hier sitzt ein Mann, der eigentlich gar nicht im Rampenlicht stehen will – und genau deshalb so gut darin ist.Es gibt Folgen, die rauschen gemütlich vor sich hin. Und es gibt Folgen wie diese: 10.000 Volt am Rhein, ein Gast, der sich erst wehrt, dann öffnet und schließlich so viel Energie versprüht, dass man beim Hören automatisch aufrechter sitzt.Ein Gespräch über Herkunft, Mut, Haltung, Respekt und die Kunst, zwischen verschiedenen Welten zu stehen – und dabei trotzdem ein guter Gastgeber zu bleiben. Duane Bailey from Tinsel Tunes and Matt Wheeler from Resurrection Metal Radio join me to talk 220 Volt “Heavy Christmas!”The song is almost thrash metal in delivery, with 16th note riffs alternate picked. Some syncopation adds interest to the main riff. In fact, F# minor pentatonic is embellished with chromaticism to add even more flare to the riff. Then, during the pre-chorus, a descending sixteenth line leads into the vocals, guitars doubling the vox to give it a huge sound.Further, the band re-recorded the song and updated it musically. For example, they added sleighbells to the intro, and quoted some Christmas carols before heading into full on thrash. Also, the guitar solo is more traditional shredding rather than sound effects. Palm muting? Yep. Power chords? Uh huh. Heaviness? Definitely!
