One Question Answered, Five Questions Asked - David Fincher's Zodiac (2007) On this week's WatchThis W/RickRamos, Ibrahim & I sit down to look at a David Fincher Masterpiece - 2007's Zodiac, profiling the decades long search for The Zodiac Killer. This is an incredible film with award-caliber performances from Jake Gylenhaal as cartoonist Robert Graysmith (on whom this narrative is based and centered around), Mark Ruffalo as San Francisco inspector David Toschi, Robert Downey Jr. as San Francisco Chronicle reporter Paul Avery, and a host of brilliant supporting performances. This week we look at the obsession and paranoia that builds from a case of this type. This is a fantastic film and a thrill for the two of us to sit down and discuss. Take a listen and let us know what you think. Questions, Comments, Complaints, & Suggestions can be directed to gondoramos@yahoo.com. Many Thanks.

Where were you on the night of the killings? Netflix Book Club No. 93 is David Fincher's Zodiac! Stephen and Dennis fly dually this week and talk obsession. And power. And control. Dennis is not a murderer he swears. Also probed is the Fincher line of "there is only one or two ways to shoot a scene". It gets juicy. MG is joined by killer VFX artist Nicole Arnell as we take on an underseen masterpiece. David Fincher's Zodiac is now regarded as one of the best movies of the new millennium, but feeling more like All The President's Men than Se7en, this informationally dense, intentionally unresolved micro-epic initially failed to connect with audiences who were expecting a less intellectual, less layered, and far more bloody experience. But it is here where he perfected the techniques he layer used for Netflix's smarthouse hits House of Cards and Mindhunter - which in turn became major touchstones for all streaming storytelling to come!

The Halloween season miniseries continues as Magnus takes a look back at the Zodiac killer, David Fincher's Zodiac film and discusses true crime, generally. How does this relate to Halloween exactly? Well, it's a matter of historical fact that Zodiac wore a costume on one occasion. So there's that? Anyway, what else do you want? Start listening now before some tragic-yet-ironic fate somehow related to Zodiac befalls you. Side Note- Two episodes of TMPR in one week? What gives? Well, His Excellency planned this Halloween season series as a four part series. October has five Tuesdays in it; one Tuesday was occupied with an entry in the Joker miniseries and one Tuesday was missed entirely, which leaves only three Tuesdays for four episodes. So two episodes in one week. Here you go!

Late 1960's San Francisco and there's a serial killer on the loose! That's right, we've decided to end on a rather dark note as we slide into the obsession filled, decade spanning epic that is, David Fincher's Zodiac. Of course it's based on a true story but this doesn't stop Mike & Rob bringing their own version of inanity and slight degrees of fanboism to this sprawling review of all 157 minutes of this modern classic. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/wdawkt/message

Garrett and Dan welcome back Dan Santelli of Viva Video to celebrate the anniversary of 2007, perhaps the best movie year of its decade, with David Fincher's Zodiac. Though a bit under-appreciated at the time, Zodiac has gone on to be considered one of Fincher's best films and indeed represents the decade it was made in very well. In a post-9/11 America, we were still scrambling to regain a sense of safety and our place in the larger world we were reminded we lived in, much like the characters in this movie which is also about planting a seed of fear that brings ruin even to those not targeted directly. We're having a contest this week! Leave us a 5-star review on iTunes and tell us what movie to review next - we'll choose one and make it a future episode. Movie Movie will be hosting a special screening of  I Am A Knife With Legs on July 15th at the Milburn Stone Theater in Baltimore, MD. Tickets available soon. twitter | Facebook | tumblr | iTunes
