We kick things off with Sir Spleenington, the distinguished British predecessor to Spencer's lovably grating alter ego "The Spleen", hiding from Flock cameras and ankle monitors while Spencer attempts to explain that this podcast is technically an American reboot of a British podcast. Kevin actually laughs audibly, which may be a first in recorded history. From there, we cover the very real and very poisonous warehouse fire burning in Boyle Heights, LA, where Spencer went out handing N95 masks to street vendors who promptly did not put them on. We also get into the World Cup bringing tourists to America who are discovering chips and salsa, bottomless refills, and tailgating for the first time, leading to what is probably an AI-generated viral tweet about a Japanese man being spiritually defeated by a basket of tortilla chips at a Mexican restaurant. Then things get truly personal. Spencer recounts a weekend of cascading indignities: a terrible fake-Caesar wrap from Doghaus, a multi-hour Chipotle customer service odyssey involving AI phone bots, a rude supervisor, a robot that hung up on him, and a very long drive to find no crispy chicken. A Magic: The Gathering card he wanted wasn't even in the deck it was supposed to be in. He survived all of this, and his emotional recovery time is getting shorter, which we declare as growth. We close out with Spencer pitching a structured belief system built around summoning a personal "familiar", essentially harnessing the placebo effect and humanity's religious tendencies into something useful and non-cult-shaped. Kevin says he'd join immediately. Spencer considers writing a self-help book. The Spleen is somewhere hiding from cameras. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Brok rhymes with clock, and it is a Danish word that describes the petty complaints that are common in one of the happiest countries in the world, and one of the richest. It's complaining as a social activity, usually about things that are more irritating than dangerous. I feel there's more Danish brok in the summer because people come into contact with each other, the joy of spring is gone, and the bugs are coming out, and it can be so hot. But really brok can be a year-round occupation. It's particularly common in the coffee room or lunchroom on job sites, where Danes complain about their working conditions, the Danish government, the Danish public health system, Danish public transport, in particular the national train service DSB or, the all-time favorite, the exasperating Danish weather. Brok is a way of bonding – aren't we all irritated by the same thing? And a way of blowing off steam without ever confronting anyone directly, which is always a bit dangerous in Denmark, because the country is so small and you will run into the same people again and again.

Complaints against credit providers are on the rise, with the National Financial Ombud Scheme receiving more than 3,000 complaints in 2025 and ruling in favour of consumers 62% of the time. Common issues include prescribed debt, fraud, unfair blacklisting and questionable credit practices. Kwanda Vabaza, Manager of Adjudication at the NFO's Banking and Credit Division, explains what's driving the surge in complaints and what consumers can do when their rights are infringed. CHUKAS - BALAKAnger ManagementThe Torah portion deals with two central themes: the sin of "Water of Complaint" and the Red Heifer. The central message is that anger reflects a lack of faith, one who truly believes in Divine Providence does not lose control, knowing that everything is guided from Above toward a good purpose. Moses's sin, according to Maimonides, was anger itself, while the Maharal teaches that anger and lack of faith are essentially one and the same thing. The portion of the Red Heifer appears before the deaths of Miriam and Aaron as a comforting introduction, teaching that the deaths of the righteous bring atonement and that life continues in a different form, just as the heifer's ashes mix with living waters.

-Rob celebrates falling oil prices and describes the Iran campaign as one of the most efficient military operations in modern history, while marveling that critics seem far more upset about success than they ever were about failure. -Newsmax Hotline Guest: Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer (President, Project Sentinel) joins Rob for an extensive discussion of the emerging U.S.-Iran agreement, characterizing it less as a negotiated settlement and more as a “surrender” by Iran after military, economic, and diplomatic pressure eliminated its leverage. Shaffer explains that the proposed arrangement is performance-based, with Arab nations potentially providing reconstruction funding only if Iran complies with verification requirements. He highlights the effectiveness of the naval blockade, the destruction of Iranian military capabilities, the strategic importance of controlling global oil flows, and the possibility that pressure on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps could eventually lead to broader political change inside Iran Today's podcast is sponsored by : PARAMOUNT PLUS - Don't Miss "The Agency." Jayce wrote the episode, but I'm writing this… We know that we live in a world where emotions are fleeting- they roll through us like 2 second electric shock waves from distraction to distraction, but I STILL have not forgotten the night of June 5th where I sold my tickets to see Lorde at Gov Ball in exchange for a night in the presence of Madonna. It caused 2 days of silent treatment in my home when I sold the Gov Ball tickets and a mental health check since I LOVE Lorde. But… I also LOVE Madonna and am too old to “festival” anymore. In preparing for this Bite Sized episode on Madonna we played Confessions On A Dancefloor around the clock and I danced on air reliving my MySpace days. Even in getting ready to go to the event I felt like life was better and though giving up our phones was scary for exactly 2 seconds, I instantly felt like a new human being.I had an amazing discussion with my dear friend, David Russell, who is quite the music historian and a Madonna expert (that is the label I have given him, to be clear, he would never claim that title for himself), and I will share that talk later when Confessions II is finally released July 3. We talked about how BORING it is that there is so much that people are annoyed with about Madonna. Complaints about her age, her surgeries and her “need for relevance”… this actually bores me. The Beacon was teaming with people full of joy, acceptance, and unabashed expression. The talk was a display of Madonna's vulnerability actually. She wasn't a persona this night, she was a woman who had her best friend Debi Mazar in the audience with her celebrating her latest creation. This is the same woman who shut down Times Square the night before and performed in a skyscraper, for goodness sake. The woman on stage was both of these people. A full circle. So while Lorde was inspiring one generation (maybe a couple generations) at Gov Ball, I did not regret choosing to be at the Beacon June 5th to physically feel the decades of inspiration Madonna has provided us.The video is amazing and if you haven't seen it yet, that's crazy. Watch it below. You know by know that Kate Moss who looks better than ever is in the video, but it was a complete surprise to us as an audience and I screamed so loud that I scared myself when she came on the screen. Feeling that excited and young again… that was fun.For more on Madonna's look for Hung Up, check out my interview from waaaaaaay back with the amazing makeup artist, Gina Brooke.00:00 Intro | Madonna Takes Over Tribeca 202600:28 Confessions 2 Arrives01:29 Why Confessions Is Madonna's Masterpiece03:20 The Making of Confessions on a Dance Floor03:50 Why "Hung Up" Changed Pop Music04:59 Inside the Making of the "Hung Up" Video06:17 Madonna Filmed with Eight Broken Ribs07:16 Why the "Hung Up" Video Is Still Iconic07:49 Tribeca Premiere & Madonna Q&A08:28 Inside the Beacon Theatre Experience09:16 Madonna's Emotional Conversation10:46 The Confessions 2 Visual Album Reaction11:35 Final Thoughts | Will Confessions 2 Make History? Summer is around the corner, which means there's a good chance you're about to hear a lot more complaints about being bored. And maybe you've heard that boredom is good for your child. (Spoiler: It is!) But what if you're not seeing your child do those positive things that they're "supposed to do" when they're bored? In this episode, Rachel explores why some children experience boredom very differently than we realize, why "go find something to do" is often harder than it sounds, and how parents can help kids build the ability to handle boredom without becoming their source of constant entertainment. In this episode, you'll hear: • Why boredom often leads to negative behaviors long before it leads to creativity • What may actually be happening inside your child's nervous system when they say "I'm bored" • A simple strategy for helping children learn how to handle boredom more independently

Mary Capps worked as the only other compliance officer in Park City, Kansas, for more than six years. She reported directly to Dennis Rader. She would later tell the Wichita Eagle that he had never paid her a compliment in six years. That he discriminated against her because she was a woman. That he had created a hostile workplace she could not endure. After Rader's arrest in February of 2005, Mary Capps filed an EEOC complaint and a Kansas Human Rights Commission complaint against the city of Park City for the work environment he had built. She also said, in her own words, the things her coworker had been that nobody had publicly said before. Hateful. Condescending. Egotistical. She was one of at least five people on the record, after the arrest, describing what they had felt about Dennis Rader before anybody knew. A neighbor whose wife watched him film their back yard. A divorced single mother whose dog he killed. A Cub Scout parent who pulled her son from his pack. A neighbor across the street who, after sixteen years of knowing him, called him "definitely two-sided."In the third chapter of True Crime Today's five-part BTK investigation, host Tony Brueski walks through the gap between what people who knew Dennis Rader sensed about him and what nobody was able to put together until after his arrest. The official roles. The community positions. The city paychecks. The institutional letterhead Dennis Rader collected over thirty years. This is the third uncomfortable truth. The cultural picture of a serial killer in 1995 did not include the city compliance officer with the clipboard. The cultural picture was wrong, and the people whose instincts had been correct could not get anybody to listen.END LINKSJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/ Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? Most techs diagnose the one thing the customer called about, fix it, and leave. The best techs diagnose the whole system, because the thing they called about is never really on its own. That's the difference between a callback and a customer who buys the real fix. Chris Elmore breaks down what he calls common bonds: the things that tie every part of a home's system together. Age. Maintenance. Filtration. Construction. Two problems can look completely unrelated and still share the same water, the same age, the same install. Once you learn to see those bonds, you stop fixing isolated problems and start showing the customer the whole system, so they understand why the real fix matters instead of grabbing the cheapest band-aid. You'll learn: Why you start where the customer noticed the problem, not where you assume it is What common bonds are and how they connect problems that look unrelated How age, maintenance, filtration, and construction tie a whole system together How to set context and contrast in the first 15 minutes of a call Why technical excellence is the foundation under every communication skill Show notes and free resources: https://www.servextra.com/episodes/ Listen and subscribe: Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/5DlsGABopPu9Qq9NNhK4hu Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/windshield-time/id1386770507 All episodes: https://www.servextra.com/episodes/
A former inmate who served time with Ghislaine Maxwell at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee claimed Maxwell was widely disliked by both prisoners and staff and frequently clashed with others over her behavior inside the facility. The former inmate, who used a pseudonym while speaking publicly about her time in prison, said Maxwell often acted entitled and ignored normal prison routines. According to her account, Maxwell would sometimes skip the food line in the chow hall while other inmates waited and regularly filed complaints about conditions inside the prison. The former inmate claimed Maxwell submitted hundreds of complaints in a single year covering issues ranging from food portions to daily living conditions, which allegedly caused frustration among both guards and fellow inmates. She also said Maxwell worked out frequently but rarely showered afterward, which became a point of ridicule and tension among prisoners living in close quarters. The former inmate also described several incidents that illustrated the hostility Maxwell faced from other prisoners because of her conviction for helping Jeffrey Epstein traffic underage girls. According to the account, inmates considered Maxwell among the lowest-status prisoners due to the nature of her crimes, and her social circle inside the prison was small. Despite the tension, Maxwell reportedly taught classes to other inmates on etiquette and legal procedures, helping them understand how to file motions in court. The former inmate said Maxwell appeared knowledgeable about legal issues and served as a sort of informal instructor during the classes. She also claimed Maxwell avoided discussing Epstein or high-profile figures connected to the scandal and became angry when a television series about her aired in the prison recreation area. The attention surrounding Maxwell also caused disruptions at the facility, with helicopters and aircraft sometimes flying overhead in attempts to photograph her, occasionally triggering lockdowns inside the prison.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Inside Ghislaine Maxwell's clashes with inmates after 'cozying up to prison diva, skipping food lines, & not showering'Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.
