Way back at the end of August, when life was simpler and Amelia hadn't yet had surgery on her hands, we got together to record what was going to be a fairly normal episode. It's giving middle age aches and pains, it's giving Cracker Barrel, but it's mostly a discussion about that trashbag Marion Zimmer Bradley which turns into a whole thing about separating the art from the artist. We apologize that some of the stuff in the coven meeting is a week or more out of date. Inspired by leaders such as Andrew Tate and Jordan Peterson, the online Manosphere has exploded in recent years. Dedicated to anti-feminism, these communities have orchestrated online campaigns of misogynistic harassment, with some individuals going as far as committing violent terrorist attacks. Although the Manosphere has become a focus point of the media, researchers and governments alike, discussions tend to either over-sensationalize the community or offer simplistic explanations for their existence. This book uses a mixture of historical and economic analysis, alongside actual Manosphere content, to delve deeper. With The Male Complaint: The Manosphere and Misogyny Online (Polity, 2025), Simon James Copland explains how the Manosphere has developed and why it appeals to so many men. He argues that the Manosphere is not an aberration, but is deeply embedded within mainstream, neoliberal, social structures. For a cohort of alienated men, the promise of community provides a space of understanding, connection and purpose. This insightful book dares to dig into the corners of incel communities and online spaces where misogyny thrives. It is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand, and do something about, this growing and worrying phenomenon. Simon Copland is Honorary Fellow at the Australian National University. Morteza Hajizadeh is a Ph.D. graduate in English from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. His research interests are Cultural Studies; Critical Theory; Environmental History; Medieval (Intellectual) History; Gothic Studies; 18th and 19th Century British Literature. (The Center Square) – A complaint against Solicitor General Noah Purcell with the Washington State Executive Ethics Board has been rejected for investigation despite allegations that the decision by Executive Director Kate Reynolds was made amid a conflict of interest. According to emails obtained by The Center Square, Reynolds has previously written that she reports to Purcell. Last month, Purcell wrote a response to the Washington State Bar Association on behalf of Attorney General Nick Brown related to an ethics complaint filed against him. Megyn Kelly opens her show by playing and reacting to the full Charlotte stabbing video that was put out, explains why we must all watch the horror, breaks down why this is a “tipping point,” and more. Then The Daily Wire reporter Megan Basham, "When Race Trumps Merit" author Heather Mac Donald, and "Toxic Empathy" author Allie Beth Stuckey join to discuss why the Charlotte stabbing of Iryna Zarutska should serve as a “tipping point,” the realities of interracial crime, terrible reactions from the media and city leaders, why elites avoid discussing the Charlotte stabbing racial elements, systemic and legal issues that allow repeat offenders to remain on the streets, why mentally ill criminals should not be allowed to roam the streets, and more. Then Mike Solana, editor-in-chief of Pirate Wires, joins to talk about the first excerpt from Kamala Harris' new book, her non-stop complaints about everything, her criticisms of Joe Biden and his administration, Kamala's claim she actually helped fix the immigration crisis, her refusal to actually answer the question of who was running the country for four years, the reaction to the book so far from the left, Morning Joe's history of Biden lies, and more. Complaints about a YouTube version of the latest Tina from Turner's car dealership advert have been upheld by the advertising watchdog. The Advertising Standards Authority says a scene of a car performing a burnout isn't 'socially responsible' after complaints it was a disgrace to Kiwis, showing illegal activity, using swear words and was offensive. Turners chief executive Todd Hunter says it seems like a storm in a teacup. "We didn't take it out in the YouTube version, because we thought it was kind of some fun - and so the person who complained, we owe them a great deal of thanks for keeping Tina from Turner's continually in the media." The ad can't keep being used in its current form. LISTEN ABOVESee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

But beyond just delivering the Israelites from bondage, God sought to establish a covenant relationship with them. Think about what nature does—it moves, it grows, it expands, it transforms. Storms don't apologize for being storms. Rivers don't ask permission to carve valleys. Trees don't complain about the wind—they bend, they adapt, they keep reaching for the light. But too many of us get stuck in the opposite—complaining, comparing, pointing fingers. That energy doesn't move anything forward. It only makes us smaller. When you choose to be a force of nature, you step into responsibility. You create instead of criticizing. You adapt instead of excusing. You push forward with energy and intention. So here's my challenge for you today:Catch yourself the next time you start to complain. Pause. And ask: How can I bring power to this moment instead? How can I move like nature—expanding, growing, transforming? The world doesn't need more noise. It requires more forces of nature.

Do you ever leave a hard conversation thinking, “How am I here again?”Or do you feel seen in therapy but the week rolls around and the same stress knocks at your door?Maybe you're the “strong one,” the giver… and privately you're tired. If that's you, I made this week's episode of Heal Your Heal Relationships for you:“Your Complaints Are a Doorway to Your Healing.”Here's the heart of it: I don't want you to just feel better for an hour. I want your capacity to grow so life feels different from the inside out and complaints can help us do that. Not by fixing the surface problem, but by gently showing us the root that's asking for care.In this episode, I share a reframe I use as a physician: Think of a complaint like a fever. Comfort matters...But real healing comes from finding the source. We walk through a real example (an overwhelmed teacher who's busy-busy-busy to avoid a deeper loneliness), and I guide you to follow your own “little tributaries” back to the lake underneath.Inside the episode:Why validation is soothing (and why it doesn't always change tomorrow)How your recurring complaints point to subconscious core wounds (often held in the body)The “fever vs. source” lens you can use this weekA gentle way to meet what's underneath—paired with embodiment so shifts lastIf you've been circling the same challenges and are ready to understand what's underneath—this episode is for you.I hope it brings clarity, compassion, and a deeper sense of power in your healing journey.Take a deep breath, hit play, and let's walk this path together.Oh—and if you have something you're navigating and would love my take on it... Bryan Kohberger's Prison Meltdown: Complaints, Control & Collapse Bryan Kohberger once carried himself like the smartest man in the room — the criminology PhD student who thought he could outthink investigators, classmates, maybe even the law itself. But the mask has slipped, and the picture we're seeing from inside Idaho's maximum-security prison is one of collapse. Within weeks of being placed in J-Block, Kohberger began flooding staff with handwritten complaints. He demanded “full trays” of vegan food, griped about substitutions on his meals, and accused inmates of screaming threats at him through the vents. He even begged for a transfer out of his unit, describing the environment as unbearable. The man who once studied criminal minds with detached superiority now obsesses over cafeteria menus and taunts from other inmates. Psychotherapist and author Shavaun Scott joins Tony Brueski to analyze why killers like Kohberger unravel so quickly when stripped of control. Prison life magnifies every psychological crack. For narcissistic and obsessive personalities, humiliation is poison — and in Kohberger's case, it's everywhere. The taunts, the food, the rigid schedule he cannot bend to his will — they all chip away at the illusion of control he's clung to for years. What does this mean for his mental future? Will he deteriorate into psychosis, like others have in solitary confinement? Or will he remain trapped in an endless cycle of petty grievances, a man who once imagined himself as a criminal mastermind reduced to fighting over mashed peas? This episode takes you inside Kohberger's prison meltdown — and shows how confinement doesn't just punish the body, but shatters the fragile ego of a man who thought he'd never be caged. The ruling comes more than a year after the same judge ruled that Google had acted illegally to maintain a monopoly in internet search. Following the ruling last year, the Department of Justice had proposed that Google should be forced to sell Chrome. But in a 230-page decision, Judge Amit Mehta said the government had "overreached" in its request. In other news, Waymo is preparing to launch in two more markets. The company announced today that it will expand into both Denver and Seattle; and the Federal Trade Commission announced that Disney will pay $10 million to settle allegations that the entertainment giant allowed data collection on YouTube videos meant for children. What do you think of this episode? Do you have any topics you'd like me to cover? When things go wrong at school parents are bound to feel stressed, wanting the problem to be resolved as soon as possible. But - in the UK at least - the current complaints system is "working for no one", according to the Government's Education Secretary.Jason Elsom, CEO of charity Parentkind, says there's been a surge in parental complaints, that are being amplified via WhatsApp: Quoted in The Times“We are seeing a tsunami of parental complaints. It is never right to name and shame a school or engage in a WhatsApp pile-on, but schools need to make sure they have thought through how they engage parents to nip issues in the bud.”The charity Parentkind found in a poll of 2,000 parents that 38% had filed a formal school complaint in the past year, with the total number of complaints exceeding five million in just one year.Common areas of concern included bullying, student safety, school discipline and behaviour policies, homework, and teacher conduct.Elsom says says Parents are under enormous pressure with a cost-of-living crisis and ever increasing challenges at home, which sometimes spills over into the classroom, with parents complaining to schools about what they are hearing from their children and on WhatsApp groups.“Meanwhile nearly two thirds, or 65%, of school leaders say parental complaints increased during the 2023/24 academic year in a survey by UK and Ireland law firm Browne Jacobson. Nine in 10 (90%) believe complaints-handling is having a detrimental impact on staff wellbeing, with other knock-on effects cited including the quality of education being delivered (53%) and staff retention (48%).Melanie Sanderson, GOOD SCHOOLS GUIDE: https://www.goodschoolsguide.co.uk/SOURCE: https://www.brownejacobson.com/BrowneJacobson/media/Media/education/SLS-findings-Spring-2024.pdfOtoZen — a new driving safety appAre you worried about your teenager getting distracted behind the wheel? My TA Looks Like a Murderer” Kohberger's Student CALLED Him Out Before Murders! Before Bryan Kohberger was arrested for the murders of four University of Idaho students, he was known to many at Washington State University as a creepy, arrogant teaching assistant. Newly unsealed documents and firsthand student accounts are painting a disturbing picture of what it was like to work under him in the fall of 2022. One student emailed a friend early in the semester with a chilling line: “My TA looks like a murderer.” At the time it was a joke, but weeks later, Kohberger would be in custody for one of the most notorious college-town crimes in recent memory. Students describe Kohberger not as a helpful TA, but as a condescending figure who belittled classmates, made misogynistic and ableist remarks, and seemed obsessed with control. Complaints include him calling a divorced woman “broken” and asking a deaf student if she should even have children. Female students reported him blocking doors, leaning too close, and hovering in ways that felt intimidating. One undergrad was so uncomfortable she had to be escorted home. In just three months, at least 13 formal complaints were filed against him. Some professors even worried aloud that if he became a professor, he would use his authority to harass or stalk students. His arrogance also spilled outside of class, with one peer saying Kohberger bragged in a parking lot for hours about how he could “pick up any woman he wanted.” After the November 13 murders, students noticed Kohberger looked disheveled, avoided talking about the case, and bore cuts and bruises on his hands. At least one student reported those injuries to police. In this video, we take you inside the classrooms and hallways where students experienced Kohberger firsthand — and show how their instincts, complaints, and even jokes now look like warnings in hindsight. #BryanKohberger #Idaho4 #MoscowMurders #TrueCrime #HiddenKillers #WSU #TrueCrimeCommunity #BryanKohbergerTA #IdahoCase #CrimeNews Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video? In this episode of The Emily Show Podcast, I am covering the recent court date in the Denise Richards, Aaron Phypers, Divorce case. They were in court on August 8, 2025; however, ahead of that court date, Aaron Phypers brought on counsel for the limited purpose of representing him during the Temporary Restraining Order proceedings. Additionally, it was reported by People and other outlets that police were called to Calabasis when Denise Richards showed up at the home where Phypers and his family are still living. Denise, through her attorney, stated that she was allowed at the house and was retrieving her dogs. A video purportedly showing Bryan Kohberger in his prison cell has been circulating online, prompting a response from the Idaho Department of Prisons. Is the footage real, and who within the prison leaked it? Additionally, Bryan Kohberger is complaining of ‘harassment' by other prisoners within the supermax facility. The prison also responded to media requests, stating that prisoners frequently communicate and that the ‘perceived harassment' has been reported to him. Finally, Roblox has lost substantial value amid a wave of lawsuits and conversations around whether or not children are being protected on the platform. Roblox says safety is at the forefront of their platform, but the Roblox community disagrees. Once Roblox banned known Roblox creator Schlep, the creators rallied to call out Roblox for failing to protect children and respond to complaints and reports adequately. One of the most well-known creators in the space, KreekCraft, not only highlighted the issue on the platform but also stepped away from their creator ‘star' program. We are going to see a lot more about issues on Roblox, and it's time to have a conversation with anyone you know using the platform. Let me know what you think.
