After spending a decade at consumer goods giants like Unilever and Colgate, this French marketing exec—who's called Mexico, Rome, and now Switzerland home—joined Assos nearly three years ago to help the premium apparel brand navigate a rapidly shifting landscape. In our conversation, Claire shares how marketing has changed dramatically—it's no longer about brands talking at consumers, but about letting communities, ambassadors, and athletes become the voice of the brand. She opens up about how Assos is honoring its 50-year heritage while reaching new riders: women, gravel enthusiasts, and the wave of newcomers who discovered cycling during COVID. Plus, she reveals how digging into consumer data helped bust some long-held assumptions about who's actually buying premium cycling apparel.Read the latest 'The Business of Cycling' BlogSign up for 'The Business of Cycling' Newsletter

In this episode of Fresh Perspective, we explore a powerful shift in how we handle life's challenges: are you reacting like a thermometer, or responding like a thermostat? When the world heats up or cools down, do you let it decide your mood and actions, or do you set your own tone from within? Through simple language and real-life examples, Francois breaks down the four things you can always control – your beliefs, thoughts, emotions, and actions – and shows you how to practise this shift gently in everyday moments. This is a grounded, reflective episode designed to help you slow down, recalibrate, and lead your life from the inside out. If you're ready to stop being pulled around by your environment and start choosing your mindset with intention, this one is for you. getclarity.co.za

Ecologist Jason Hoesksema of Delta Wind Birds offers a fresh, think-outside-the-box perspective on waterfowl habitat management in agricultural settings, connecting shorebirds to better duck hunting--why early "pop-up" flooding on harvested fields pulls birds fast, reduces runoff, helps farmers, and sets the table for wintering waterfowl. Real-world habitat tells: timing, field types, and small landowner moves that increase birds almost immediately. To work with me personally please visit getclarity.co.za In this episode of Fresh Perspective, Francois explores one of the most common and quietest struggles many of us face: being relentlessly hard on ourselves. Beneath the surface of high standards and self-discipline often lies fear, fear of failure, rejection, or not being enough. Francois unpacks how the inner judge masquerades as responsibility but is really emotional avoidance in disguise. Drawing from his coaching work and psychology research, he guides listeners through understanding the difference between the Judge and the Coach within, one condemns, the other instructs. You will learn how to shift from self-punishment to self-leadership, how to identify the beliefs that keep your worth conditional, and how to respond to mistakes with clarity rather than cruelty. Through the story of kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, this episode offers a reminder that our cracks do not disqualify us; they reveal where the light gets in. If you have ever felt trapped by your own high expectations or inner criticism, this conversation will help you lay down the whip and pick up the tools of awareness, compassion, and self-trust.

Warmest of Welcomes everybody. This month on the Mooglecast we are joined by Will (Sqweezy) from Australia for a bunch of random topics including some of our favourite voice actors/actresses, what games we'd apply the nemesis system to if the patent ended and what special items we'd like to see included in a collectors edition for a game. The usual run of the show includes 'plat shout outs', 'the record' and as usual a meaty 'what we have been playing', where Max finally gives his thoughts on his first playthrough of his first Uncharted game (Drakes Fortune), and how keeping his teenage arms folded prevented him from entering this series for so long. Will as Norman Reedus with a Fetus slowly walks towards the Death Stranding platinum and Zac inches ever so slightly towards the finish line in Trackmania. We hope you enjoy Octobers episode of the Mooglecast, we'll be back in November alongside Theportlandkevin for a Bioshock retrospective, but until then, be excellent to eachother.

She has also been the curator and producer of TEDxBerkeley for the last 12 years, one of the largest TEDx events in the United States. CEO World Magazine voted her one of the most powerful women in social media, she was listed as a top social media influencer by both Forbes and the UN, and her blog has won numerous industry awards. She was selected as a top 10 Social Media Mentor by Women Online Magazine, an AlwaysOn Top 150 Business Journalist and a Shorty Awards Business Influencer finalist. A passionate photographer, she has published six photo books on nature, culture and travel. Renee also co-founded Blue Soul Earth with her partner, where they help others through books, digital content, retreats and membership programs that focus on heart-centered living, universal consciousness, masculine and feminine balance, and connecting to the inherent beauty and power of our human existence. Their bestselling book Magdalene's Journey, which blends science and spirituality, invites people to re-think our patriarchal-dictated history through a pivotal woman's eyes. In Carole's book review, she stated: Whatever stories and teachings you've heard of Early Christianity, Magdalene's Journey by Renee Blodgett and Anthony Compagnone, a historical fiction, will make you wonder if there isn't another truth. The authors introduce us to Angelo and Rochelle, an unsuspecting married couple who loved to explore ancient and esoteric wisdom across all cultures. Little did they know they would meet two ancient souls, who would turn their lives upside down. It all began one night when the words, “My name is Miriam of Magdala,” came out of the mouth of Angelo. His voice had changed, and Rochelle responded with, “Mary Magdalene!” Magdalene's Journey channels people who once lived and walked the planet, along with real settings in terms of time and place. This well-written narrative moves from one story to the next with accounts of the lives of Jesus of Nazareth and Mary Magdalene. It guides us through how she taught alongside Jesus, their marriage, and the water birth of their daughter Sarah. It chronicles how the seven female apostles who travelled with Mary by sea to the north after the death and resurrection of Jesus. We learn how they dealt with finding food, clothing, and shelter, and their part in the water birth of Mary's daughter. This page turner is like a blueprint worth studying. In this episode of The Creative Genius Podcast, I talk with designer, writer, and thinker Ben Rennie, author of a new book that explores the transformative power of curiosity and creativity. Together, we unpack the dynamic relationship between curiosity, creativity, and confidence, and how this path can guide us to overcome fear and step more fully into our potential. Ben shares his personal story—sparked by a promise to his late mother—that led him to examine how people find themselves in powerful, unexpected places. We explore the idea that creativity isn't limited to the arts but is instead the ability to see things differently, solve problems, and bring ideas to life. Through vivid stories and practical wisdom, Ben and I explore how curiosity is the antidote to fear, how creativity naturally flows from curiosity, and how confidence is built by simply beginning—and continuing—to create. From imposter syndrome at a Dolce & Gabbana event to finding inspiration in nature, this conversation is a powerful invitation to get curious, stay creative, and be kind to yourself in the process.Topics Covered:How curiosity dissolves fearWhy creativity is about seeing possibilities, not just making artReframing repetition: why doing what's been done before is still meaningfulHow creative confidence is earned through actionThe role of environment and nature in creative flow Navigating imposter syndromeand Honouring your pathResources & Mentions: Ben Rennie's new book Ben's “Wednesdays” blog on Medium Brene Brown Steve Jobs: “You can't connect the dots looking forward…” Meredith Hite-Estevez: “Join a song already singing” Rick Rubin: on creativity and remixing existing ideasTakeaways / Call to Action:Follow your curiosity—it's the best antidote to fear Just start, even if it's been done before—your voice mattersPractice regularly and create space for your creativityCapture your ideas on the goBe gentle with yourselfSpend time in nature to reset and reconnect
Melinda Wheelwright Brown is an author and educator, her newest book is called 'An Endowment of Love: Embracing Christ's Covenant Way of Living and Loving'.I wanted to speak to Melinda because I learn a lot about the way she views the Temple Endowment, an important part of worship in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some highlights from this episode include how to see Jesus's example in the covenants we make in the House of the Lord, why the phrase 'going through the Temple' isn't adequate, and how Latter-day Saints can make going to the Temple as warm and exciting as visiting their grandparents as a child. --You can find more of Melinda's work at the following links:- https://www.deseretbook.com/product/P6078337.html- https://www.ldsliving.com/melinda-wheelwright-brown- https://bravelikeeve.org/about-us/Follow For All The Saints on social media for updates and inspiring content:www.instagram.com/forallthesaintspodhttps://www.facebook.com/forallthesaintspod/For All The Saints episodes are released every Monday on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and more:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVDUQg_qZIU&list=UULFFf7vzrJ2LNWmp1Kl-c6K9Qhttps://open.spotify.com/show/3j64txm9qbGVVZOM48P4HS?si=bb31d048e05141f2https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/for-all-the-saints/id1703815271If you have feedback or any suggestions for topics or guests, connect with Ben & Sean via hello@forallthesaints.org or DM on InstagramConversations to Refresh Your Faith. For All The Saints podcast was established in 2023 by Ben Hancock to express his passion and desire for more dialogue around faith, religious belief, and believers' perspectives on the topics of our day. Gwen Gibson is one of the best World Cup XCO racers in the world, but she almost didn't make it into the professional ranks. In college, she juggled racing with a full class schedule and held down three jobs to make ends meet. When she graduated, she thought it was probably time to quit her dreams of being a World Cup racer and find a ‘real' career path. But then she started showing up to races and beating some of her idols, and in 2022, she had a breakout season, winning a World Cup short track race and nabbing third place at the World Championships after breaking her kneecap midseason. Now, she races for Trek Factory Racing and has scored eight top 10 World Cup finishes since joining the team. Gwen sat down with Payson in Girona to talk about battling her way into World Cup racing after years of determination, her continuing battles with self-doubt, what it was like winning her first World Cup race, and how she's building up her mental game after the disappointment of losing out on the Olympics last year with one heartbreaking race. She also talks about her friendship with teammates Evie Richards and Maddie Munro and how she still manages to win races despite shying away from confrontational tactics.
