We take a look at some more 'beyond the parks' type activities, first we talk about a recent experience renting surrey bikes at Disney's Boardwalk and taking a couple of laps around the area...in the blazing sun!  And then we cap it off about a more relaxed boat tour of the lagoon in the middle of the boardwalk and a short cruise over to Hollywood Studios and back.  We enjoyed both activities and are definitely something to check out!

We take a quick look at Disney's Boardwalk, from ESPN Club to the famous Flying Fish Cafe to the dueling piano's at Jellyrolls, there is a wide breadth of entertainment options available at Disney's Boardwalk. So rent a bike and take a ride around the lake on your next visit and check it out!

L&L take a stroll around the recently re-themed and refurbished Disney Springs, a wander down the Boardwalk (stopping to say hello to the creepiest chairs in Florida), before ambling into Epcot to ride Living With The Land and listen in dumbfoundment to the most dated music loop in any Disney park. On part 3 of the Nerdy Gras Podcast "Girls Trip to Walt Disney World" episode, Michelle and Jessica discuss going to the new restaurant in Disney Springs, The Edison. On this episode of Unlocking The Magic, we review our recent dining experience at the ESPN Club restaurant located on Disney's Boardwalk.  The ESPN Club restaurant can feel a bit off the beaten path as it's location on Disney's Boardwalk doesn't seem easily accessible (there is no direct bus transportation to the Boardwalk) and to be honest, we never had consider eating here in the past as the exterior/seemingly bar type restaurant never made us feel like it was too kid (or girl LOL) friendly. However, we decided to try it this time around and overall, were really pleased that we did! Being one of the few restaurants that don't accept reservations, the ESPN definitely makes it a good choice for a last minute idea or for those that are not big planners. The "bar" food is great quality and offers many choices that you might not think of.... chicken and waffles?!

It can be easily overlooked as there is technically no direct transportation to the Boardwalk (tips on how to get there on the show). The ambiance takes you back to a simpler time "the good old days ;) " and there is no better place to go for an evening stroll.
