If you want to take great photos of your Disney outfits at Walt Disney World, there are five great spots that will consistently deliver exceptional photos for your social media feed or personal photo album. Want to be Disney fashion influencer? Here's how to get started with great Disney style photos. The Five Best Photo Spots at Walt Disney World to Show Off an Outfit What to Consider to Get the Best Photos of Your Disney Outfits at Disney WorldThe best time for photos under natural light is first thing in the morning or later in the afternoon (which generally will provide softer golden lighting. Overcast days and shaded areas are also great for providing picture perfect diffused and muted light. So if you are serious about getting a great photo for your social feed or to become a fashion/style influencer, get to your photo spot first thing in the morning. This will provide the best lighting and the lowest crowds. By going early, the lower crowds mean that, at worst, you can use AI great to remove one or two errant people in the photo. But beyond one or two people, it can get trickier. Unless you are going for the blurred crowd effect (which is something to try if you find yourself in that situation). Focal length, aperture and the distance to your subject can all affect how the final photo turns out. Plus, for scenic views you need to consider whether the background will be busy or uniform, and whether it will be blurred or more in focus. All of this makes a difference in your final photo. You can adjust much of this in post production using apps, but the more that you consider up front, the less work you will have to do later. Five of the Best Outdoor Scenic Photo Locations for Disney Style 1. Cinderella Castle As a classic icon, Cinderella Castle has several vantage points that are perfect for unique and stylized fashion shots. This does not include the standard head-on shot from Main Street (where the PhotoPass photographers are positioned). Look for a unique angle on either side of the castle, with some good spots towards the back. 2. Grand Floridian Resort Disney's Grand Floridian Resort offers a ton of first rate outdoor photo spots. From sprawling green lawns, to great florals and tropical gardens, to beach photos and backgrounds of Seven Seas Lagoon, you can always find a great photo spot here. Of course, the white and red color palette of the majestic buildings are also picture perfect. 3. Disney Boardwalk The Walt Disney World Boardwalk has a number of options for unique and interesting fashion and style photos. From benches on the wooden boardwalk, to vistas of the Crescent Lake and the Yacht and Beach Club hotels in the distance, you will have the potential to get a ton of great shots here. If you are looking for that magical late afternoon golden hour sunlight, the Boardwalk area is perfect for that photo-friendly natural lighting. 4. EPCOT: Morocco Pavilion, France Pavilion, By the fence around to World Showcase LagoonWhile EPCOT has no shortage of first-rate photo opp locations for fashion and style photos, there are two or three that stand out as top picks to explore. At the very back of the Morocco Pavilion, you will find a wonderful location with great lighting, interesting backdrops and few crowds. Nearby in the France Pavilion is another great area where you can capture some fashion and style photos featuring the charm of old Europe. For the France area, you will need to go early in the day for the optimal nature light and the lowest crowds. Also in EPCOT, the blue water of World Showcase Lagoon can make a nice blurred background. Finding a location along the black iron rails next to the water can make for some excellent photos, assuming you time it right with the sun low in the sky or on an overcast day. 5. Animal Kingdom: Harambe Marketplace area, Animal Kingdom (Fichwa Fellow Wall, with Mickey Mouse, You are Most Beautiful wall) Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, the Harambe Marketplace are is filled with colorful backdrops and unique textures that can make for some excellent photo opps. The great thing about this area is that unlike some of the other popular Disney photo wall locations (which don't have enough room to create distance between the camera, subject and backdrop), the Harambe area provides the perfect opportunity to set up for some great fashion photos. Planning Your Disney Fashion Photos in Advance is Worth the Effort Putting some thought into the photos before you take them will make a difference in the end result. If you are aiming to get some like-worthy fashion photos for your Instagram or social feed, then the extra effort and thought will pay off.Thank You for Listening to the Disney Travel Style PodcastThank you very much for listening to this episode, we that you enjoyed it. Volta Metals CEO Kerem Usenmez joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce significant expansions in the company's lithium project portfolio. Volta Metals has acquired additional mineral claims contiguous to its Falcon West Lithium Project in northwestern Ontario. These newly acquired claims cover a substantial surface area of 820 hectares, effectively merging with the company's Falcon West and Crescent Lake lithium projects. This consolidation results in an extensive and strategically important land package within the Seymour-Falcon Lithium Belt. Usenmez highlighted that Volta Metals now holds a 100% interest in these newly acquired claims. In exchange, the company has granted the vendors a 1.5% net smelter returns royalty. Further strengthening its position in the region, Volta Metals has also acquired the "Lee Creek" Project. This project is located within the same section of the Caribou Lake greenstone belt as Green Technology Metals' Seymour project and Midex Resources Ltd's Crescent Lake project. Both of these projects are noted for their outcropping lithium-bearing pegmatites, indicating promising potential for significant lithium resources. These acquisitions underscore Volta Metals' commitment to expanding its lithium assets and enhancing its exploration capabilities. By consolidating these properties, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for lithium, essential for battery technologies and the global shift towards renewable energy sources. #proactiveinvestors #voltametalsletd #cse #vlta #MiningAcquisition #MineralExploration #StrategicAcquisition #GreenstoneBelt #LithiumDeposit #PolymetallicResources #SoilSampling #Geophysics #FirstNationPartnership #MiningIndustry #CEOInterview #ResourceExpansion #MarketCapGrowth #MiningPortfolio #ExplorationProgram #CostEffectiveMining #MiningInvestments #VoltaProjects #LeeCreekProject #MiningNews#invest #investing #investment #investor #stockmarket #stocks #stock #stockmarketnews

In this podcast, I will share some comprehensive tips on navigating Epcot with the help of Genie+. Epcot is undoubtedly one of the most loved parks by families, due to its plethora of high-demand rides as well as many low-wait-time rides, which help balance out the park experience. If you are planning to stay at a Crescent Lake resort and enter the park from the main entrance at the International Gateway, my goal is to help you decide on the best strategy. For guests staying at a Disney Resort Collection hotel, I will provide you with a couple of different scenarios for using the main entrance at EPCOT to maximize your day based on your family's priorities. Moreover, I will also provide some valuable strategies for offsite guests to help you make the most of your day. Even if you want to start late, since there is not an opportunity for rope drop at EPCOT, I will teach you how to stack Genie Plus options so that you can sleep in, come to the park, and stay until it closes, reducing fatigue by not starting super early. With my tips and tricks, you can make the most of your day at Epcot and make unforgettable memories with your loved ones. Support the showBlog Instagram YouTube Pinterest Amazon Shop LTK Shop

On this episode of The Construction Record Podcast, digital media editor Warren Frey speaks with new Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA) president Jeannine Martin about her plans as she takes the helm of the organization. Martin discusses her previous construction industry experience, as well as how she intends to collaborate with the British Columbia Construction Association in the push for prompt payment legislation as well as working with other construction associations across the province and in Alberta. She also spoke to ongoing VRCA projects such as their Reconciliation Action Plan, operationalizing the association's strategic plan and preparation for the upcoming VRCA Awards of Excellence. The latest stories in the Daily Commercial News and the Journal of Commerce include Premier Doug Ford and his government facing heat after Bonnie Lysyk, the province's auditor general said the decision to open the Greenbelt region to housing construction favored “certain developers”. And Unifor National president Lana Payne is calling out SNC-Lavalin for firing the head of a union that represents hundreds of its engineers and other workers. From the west, WorkSafeBC is using AI to search for new risks using Risk Analysis Unit's software called Finding Risk in External News Data or FRIEND scans websites, journals, newsletters, databases and other online sources for signs of new and emerging industrial risks. Grant Cameron also has a story about the $455 million Portage Regional Health Centre project in Portage La Prairie in Manitoba. You can listen to The Construction Record on the Daily Commercial News and Journal of Commerce websites as well as on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Amazon Music's podcast section. Nestled within the bounds of Olympic National Park lies a lake with water so pristine and blue, that you think the photos are fake. Rumor has it that many years ago while tribes were at war, a nearby mountain grew angry at the noise, and threw a stone from his top, burying all of those fighting, creating a Lake and laying to rest their dispute. Crescent Lake holds many secrets, and has never once gave up a body that slipped into her deaths. That is, of course, until one night in 1937, when a murdered woman was weighed down and carelessly tossed in. Nature works in mysterious ways, sometimes for humans wanting to hide their secrets, and other times, preserving the evidence for years, until it is exactly the right time to reveal what has been covered. For 3 years, the murderer thought they had escaped. But From the dearth's of her, lake crescent rose the body to the surface, displaying her weird and horrific talents to the world. Evil Becky Burke, Ellie Pelle and Art F'n Byram interview a bunch of crazy beautiful people who ran across Connecticut as part of the 2023 #CUT112 Ultra Marathon, a point to point trail running event with three options: 112 Miles, 100K or 50 Mile. The courses follow the Blue Blazes of the New England Trail (NET) from the MA-CT border to the Long Island Sound in Guilford, CT. This route strings together some of the best trail running in Connecticut including Suffield Mountain, Peak Mountain, Hatchet Hill, Wilcox Park, Penwood State Park (Traprock 50k), Heublein Tower, MDC Reservoirs, Rattlesnake Mountain, Pinnacle Rock, Crescent Lake, Ragged Mountain (Run Ragged), Castle Craig, Lamentation Mountain, Chauncey Peak, Mount Higby, Powder Ridge, Tri-Mountain State Park, Bluff Head (Bimblers Bluff 50k) , Cockaponset State Forest, East River Preserve, and the Guilford Point waterfront. The Course is not marked except by the blue blazes of Connecticut Forest and Parks. Runners need to navigate themselves and know the route. We have fun with Jessica Crandall, Jamie Miller, Jacque Sarbaach, Lee Davis, Matt Geary, and Fred Wills as they recount all the fun that happens on the trails that most people don't care about! In July of 1940, the body of a strangled woman was discovered floating in Crescent Lake in Olympic National Park, Washington. The cold water preserved the body, but the flesh had turned into a soap-like substance. It took a while, but a dentist was finally able to identify the woman as Hallie Latham Illingworth. She had been missing since shortly before Christmas in 1937 and investigators arrested her husband, Monty Illingworth.Website: https://www.drinkingthecoolaid.com/ Resources:Amazon.com: The Lady of the Lake eBook : Amundson, Mavis: Kindle Store

Here on the shores of Crescent Lake, we confront a scene we might not be accustomed to - the clouds are low and the generally eminent sun is barely visible behind them. The breeze exhaling off the lake carries a chill that feels foreign and strange in this characteristically balmy atmosphere. It's a two-hands-around-the-mug kind of morning, but that might just be what makes it so captivatingly peaceful. The gentle songbirds (and the more boisterous ones) seem to have taken it on the beak, this melancholy departure from their usual view. No longer competing for attention with a glorious, vibrant sunrise, their song seems to reverberate across Crescent Lake, filling the space like an amphitheater. The slow and steady ebb and flow of the water is the baseline rhythm to their birdsong harmony. It laps at the rocky shore, through the hollow tunnel beneath the dock, at the boats still tied to the marina. The same hush and reverence that naturally occurs to us when we enter a church or a museum befalls us Here in this space, where we wouldn't dream of disrupting such tranquility. It is a gift, a moment of calm before whatever chaos awaits us in the ensuing ones. And although faint patches of blue are beginning to peek through the silken, subdued sky, the serenity of this moment is held for us outside of the inevitable rush of time. Like a reprieve from some long-carried weight, lifted and cast away out onto the water, we are lifted up and away from the usual swirling of thoughts and worries which occupy our minds in all our conscious living. We are suspended, like the water, in gently repeating ripples of beautiful, impenetrable calm. The breeze is just chilly enough to be invigorating, and just gentle enough to soothe us like the company of a longtime friend. It's almost as if, with every liberating gust, it speaks to us words of contentment and ease, measured reassurances that all is well Here. The Magic of this place, of this moment in time, is both in its ephemerality and in its forever. Even the birds can sense the sunshine burgeoning against the clouds, its inevitable arrival coming ever closer. Still, we are fabricating a memory so joyful and so efficacious that it promises to stay With us when we move on. This space will remain impervious, no matter the season or time of day; an unplottable fortress where we can find rest and escape and a momentary reprieve from the blinding, abrasive demands of everyday. Every step along the shore takes us, not closer to some destination, but closer to a sense of wholeness and renewal. Every deep breath, every lilting breeze, every twitter of avian song, every whisper of revival…they are the audacious Magic of this space. They are what will call us back, time and again, running or strolling or just being Here. Here, where the cool, gray solace of daybreak holds more Magic than we could have ever known.

Thank you for listening to the 3028, a show about Disney history and Disney listory. This week, Matt and Kevin dive into the backstory of Walt Disney World's Crescent Lake Project which reshaped the Epcot Center resort in the late 80s. Enjoy!
Beneath the surface of some of the largest lakes in the world mystery abounds. Sightings of monstrous beast liter the history of mankind and even persist to this day in places like Loch Ness, Lake Okanagan, Crescent Lake, and Lake Champlain, to name a few. This week explore the claims and history behind some of these monsters and weigh the science against the evidence to see how likely such monsters might actually exist.
This week, we review Crescent Lake/EPCOT Resorts and round table what we like about this Walt Disney World resort area. These include Disney's Beach Club, Disney's Boardwalk Inn, Disney Yacht Club, "Walt Disney World Swan, and Walt Disney World Dolphin resorts. These Deluxe resort are some of the best on property and we will talk about what they each have to offer, so sit back, relax, and enjoy this weeks show. Thanks for sharing this Kurt, amazing piece of history from 1985! Our next letter is from Nate and he discusses the Houston airport Wedway Peoplemover. Such a fun take on this historical piece that is connected to Disney. Huge thanks to everybody that called in during our New Year's Eve call-in event. That was so much fun to hear from you all! All entries due 2/8/2021. Main Topic We take you to Crescent Lake this month and we couldn't be more excited. This area is an entire vacation in itself, housing multiple resorts, restaurants, boating and so much more. If you are a regular to this area or your home resort is over here, this episode will be right up your alley. Most of us have stayed in at least one of these resorts with varying opinions. Throughout this episode, we will get into the history, mindset and much more throughout the era these places were constructed. Everybody has a part in this episode with Brian starting us off regarding hotel occupancy and why this area was even needed. Throughout the episode, we touch on design and architecture. This was key in the development of the Swan & Dolphin, which created many urban legends, myths and pre-internet 'fan chatter'. We have searched all over for a variety of sources to debunk or prove these rumors, so you won't want to skip these parts as we discuss. Yesterland provided us with some of these details this month, along with lots of digging into newspaper articles from back in this era. The Dolphin has a super unique design, with an almost unusable peak. Learn the secrets of this area and at the same time, take a look at the presidential suite up top!In the past, we have touched on Yacht & Beach Club through various letters and discussions. Going to the Wayback Machine, we found this great site that isn't too vintage, but the pictures scream 1991 by their coloring and also just the old decor of the Yacht/Beach. This site is definitely worth a look, as it is the original from the architect, Robert A.M. Stern. We also discuss how Michael Eisner and how he had his hand in much of this, mostly the Yacht & Beach. Almost two years ago, David Carver reached out to confirm the freshwater fish in Stormalong Bay - he happened to be staying there when they were having issues. Read the full text right here - thank you David! Any trip to Crescent Lake isn't complete without a visit to the Boardwalk Inn. Our original Boardwalk vacationers give us their take on this resort and we all had one gripe regarding the layout. During this time, we talk about some of the various venues at the Boardwalk, like The Attic and what that is all about. We also get into an amazing discussion with a former tram driver who made his rounds before the Boardwalk arrived. One fun fact of these trams: they used to be the ones that drove guests around Fort Wilderness, which is super cool to hear! Take a look at this video, which shows the route around the area. This episode is full - covering about five resorts, transportation, attractions and so much more. We hope you enjoy and let us know if you have any fun stories from Crescent Lake. 2021: Year Two of The Film To make sure you are the first to know when items are released, subscribe to us on YouTube. Be sure to click the notification bell too, that way you are alerted when we post. Finally, be sure to check out Vimeo if that is your thing, as we will post there as well. PLUS EPISODE 0019 THE PACIFIC NORTH WEIRD Richard speaks with the creator and host of a documentary-style podcast exploring the unexplained and paranormal. The guest describes several stories and legends he's investigating in the Pacific North West, including the case of cryptid sighting known as Shrimpy; a quack doctor of extraordinary evil who worked out of an area in Oregon known as Starvation Heights, and the legend of The Lady in the Lake, a murder victim whose body was dumped into the deep and frigid waters of Crescent Lake, Washington, only to resurface incorrupt several years later. GUEST: Jim Perry is a podcast host, creative producer, and entrepreneur based in the Pacific Northwest. His fascination for the anomalous events that happen in people's lives inspired the creation of Euphomet, the critically acclaimed audio documentary podcast about the strange and our relationship to it. Everyone has a weird story, and Jim is devoted to uncovering the intimate, human-centric version of these supernatural tales. His interest in the esoteric and paranormal was first inspired by staticky AM radio broadcasts of Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell and reruns of In Search Of, the investigative TV series. When he isn't embedded in the paranormal, Jim's running DEFY Wrestling, and creating content as an experienced Creative Director and filmmaker for clients such as Lexus, Starz, and FX Networks.

We'll also discuss the "Boardwalk That Might Have Been," and the concepts that never made it to reality. I'll have the answer to our last Walt Disney World Trivia Question of the Week, and pose a new challenge for your chance to win a Disney prize package. I'll also announce a new WDW Radio event and meet coming in March before playing some of your voicemails at the end of the show so sit back, relax, and enjoy this week's episode of the WDW Radio Show. ------------------------------------- THANK YOU for your support by voting WDW Radio Best Travel Podcast for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012! ------------------------------------- Visit http://WDWRadio.com for our Disney blog, videos, events and more! WEDway Radio - Walt Disney World and Disneyland Examined with some Disney History
Thanks for downloading WEDWay Radio a show about Disney history, Disney parks and touring. This is episode #105 - Crescent Lake. When Walt Disney World opened in 1971 the company knew that they needed to offer fantastically themed resorts for guests to stay. Most would associate the Grand Floridian, The Contemporary and the Polynesian as the "name" Walt Disney World resorts. However, this past year the Crescent Lake resort area (or the Epcot resorts) marked its 20th year of existence. In this episode we explore the story of how the Swan and Dolphin came to be apart of Walt Disney World as well as the other three resorts; The Yacht Club and Beach Club as well as The Boardwalk and our favorite places to go within the resort area. Enjoy! ------------------------------- Check out the show notes for this and every episode of WEDWay Radio at wedwayradio.com Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Google+ Twitter: Twitter.com/WedwayRadio Facebook: Facebook.com/WedwayRadio Google+: bit.ly/Gpluswedway We want to thank you again for listening!
