I've owned my business for 11 years now so I've developed a pretty thick skin when it comes to unsubscribes, unfollows, and rude or hateful messages. But starting a personal vlog was a whole different ball game! When I'm sharing my business beliefs, thoughts and concepts I can detach from what people think of them. But sharing my life, challenges, personality and relationship through a vlog is a lot more intimate - and when I first started, I battled with a fear of being disliked by people online. A fear of what people thought of me. If you... make unfollows or unsubscribes mean something about you, your work and your business. stop yourself from putting your work and business out there because you're afraid of what people will think. have core beliefs of not being "good enough" that are seeping into your business Then this episode is for you. We'll discuss Why it's not your job to be likable. It's your job to be yourself. 3 reminders for when you feel scared to put yourself & your work out into the online world. Why people unfollow you (it's not what you think). 1:1 OR GROUP COACHING I have 3 spots available for 1:1 coaching. In this podcast we discussed if Drake has a gambling problem, his reaction to Forbes ranking/report of his earnings and net worth and how rich people spend their money once they're too rich. We then talked about Kanye as usual since he can't stay out the news lol but we discussed how we feel about the Jeen-Yuhs documentary on Netflix now that all 3 episodes are out and we reacted to the Eazy music video of Kanye and The Game. We talked about peoples reaction to Kanye's depiction of Pete Davidson in the music video and how we feel about Kanye and Kim finally moving along with their divorce with them both now being legally single. With Kanye we talked about his stem player and then moved to a discussion on the music industry and how so many artists are extremely underpaid and don't seem to care. We talk about how artists should follow Kanye's lead and think about creating their own steaming services where they'll actually make the money they deserve. We talked about how much the music industry has changed with what is now counted as album sales in this digital age. We wrapped up the pod with a therapy session for Mal where she vents about how people and situations can really change who you are and how you act, specifically how you can become a mean person because of what you been through. We discuss how dealing with haters and bad/fake friends can change you and how we all should let go of our pasts and not focus on success just in terms of revenge. ____________________________________OUR SOCIAL MEDIA:Podcast YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/channel/UCUA7mQPLZ2tf5yBzCQZvsCwMAL'S personal YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/c/TheLifeofMalMAL'S IG & Twitter: @malwavesbackup twitter: @malwaves2MAL'S TikTok: @malwaves ALEX'S personal YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqFmKxPqWpUbxor_sYQRQgQ ALEX'S IG: @alexgthearchitectALEX'S Twitter: @agthearchitectALEX'S TikTok: @alexgthearchitechtInstrumental/beats by him! Ignore the haters, block out the noise... who cares what people think of you? That may be easy to say and do when you are talking about a keyboard warrior or someone you don't know. But what about when that "hater" or person that disagrees with you is a close friend? Someone you know? A family member? Or an influencer you look up to?How do you handle it then? That is the topic of today's episode.Enjoy-------------Want to learn how to think?Get a FREE copy of my Mindshift Playbook: www.thinkdifferenttheory.com/playbookIf you haven't joined the Facebook Group yet, make sure you do that! www.facebook.com/groups/thinkdifferenttheory/FREE RESOURCES:FREE MINDSET GUIDE: www.thinkdifferenttheory.com/playbookFREE SALES GUIDE: www.salesandmindset.com/freesalesguideFOLLOW JOSH:Facebook: www.facebook.com/thinkdifferenttheoryInstagram: www.instagram.com/joshforti
In recent months, 3 different Big Dreamers from around the world wrote to Eva about how to deal with people who say mean things about them online. Jenny from Long Island who recently started a YouTube channel, and is upset that commenters in her channel make fun of the way she dresses. Charlie from Dublin, Ireland who is thinking about starting a podcast but is self-conscious about his lisp and thinks that haters will poke fun at his voice. And Tim from Sydney, Australia who started a blog and is frustrated by the mean comments that have been posted about his writing skills. When we received a number of questions on the same topic, we know it is time to record a podcast episode on the issue. Fortunately, one of our mentors Brendon Burchard recently created a video entitled “How To Deal With Haters.” Eva was really moved by Brendon’s advice, and shares Brendon’s tips as well as how she has applied Brendon’s strategies to deal with the cyberbullies who have said mean things about our podcast. Envy is something funny right? Here is the definition of "Envy" according to Dictionary.com: "noun, plural envies. 1. a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's advantages, success, possessions, etc. 2. an object of such feeling: Her intelligence made her the envy of her classmates." There is no need to lie here. Let's be honest with each other. I've been there too. I know that you've been envious of someone at least during some part of your life. There are situations where we simply can control how we feel about someone else's success. We start to feel a feeling that we don't even know how to define. Something starts to burn inside of us... That's envy. So, how can you start enjoying someone else's success instead of start hating that someone is making more success than you? How can you shift your mindset when it comes to envying the success of someone?
