Hey friends! Vision boards are something I encourage my Christian friends to do. In this fall season, before the new year, I'd like to encourage you all to start one as well. Please listen to this episode all the way through. God has plans for you. My really good friend, Jenifer Parnell first encouraged me to do a vision board and then I watched a Steve Harvey video explaining Habbukuk 2:2-3 and it changed my life for the best. That was five years ago!! Now over the years -- I want to share with you what God has shown me over the years. God bless you! Check out these resources below. Thankfully for our podcast it turns out our long-running relationship-advice nemesis Brodrick published even more dating advice content after 2009. A pseudo-sequel to his "Act Like a Lady" book, Straight Talk is Steve's purported attempt to clarify some of his more controversial statements from that text and provide even more insight into the inner world of men. Unfortunately, our exploration of the first part found that these efforts only reveal how bad and inapplicable his first advice was, how his own life story contradicts key parts of his core beliefs, and how bad of a parent he is. This part also has the added bonus of Naomi having absolutely no idea what we'd be discussing and being bowled over by the audacity of her cohost to bring her back into Steve's orbit once more. Fun stuff. We are now recording through Riverside.fm and producing both video and transcripts of each episode. Find those on our Patreon. What if the nurturing bond between a mother and her son held profound insights about parenting, love, and personal growth? Tonight, I reunite with an old friend who has carved a remarkable path in their career, and we embark on a deep exploration of this intimate relationship. We also honor role models like Richard Brooks and Mark Lamont Hill, underscoring their influence in shaping positive outlooks for the younger generation. Finally, we turn our gaze to the inspiring world of black women, celebrating their unique experiences, defying stereotypes, and advocating for collective empowerment. We delve into my own enriching travel experiences with my son across four continents, underscoring the lustrous potential of intentional travel for black people. As we traverse the lesser-known realms of women in corporate politics, especially within private equity, we emphasize the importance of community support and encouragement. If you've been searching for a way to level up your life or just get yourself out of what I like to call a "mind rut", then this podcast episode is definitely for you. I think we can spend a lot of time searching for the magic formulas we think are out there to get us more money, happiness, peace and love, to name a few. I also believe that sometimes people are sent, to deliver messages or truths, we may read or hear a song, a poem and feel comforted in our sorrow or excited in a new love or learn a new perspective. That's exactly what I hope happens for you fromthis episode of the RTTW Podcast. My friends invited me to a what I'm calling "The 300 challenge" based on and inspired by the Motivation + talk by Steve Harvey. The talk is inspiring and motivating to say the least and knew I needed to help share it. Take the challenge with us! Steve suggests 2 simple and relevant scriptures from the Bible that remind us of how simple life with God/Spirit/Creator/Universe can be. 1) James 4:3 2) Habakkuk 2:2-3 Let me know how you feel after listening and as always I'll keep bringing you simple ways to help you be more intentional in the way you approach your well-being! Muah!
