When it's time to craft your offer, are you focusing on the features and forgetting to include the benefits? A lot of us make this mistake. The features are all the “things” in your offer: that's all the modules, that's all the lessons, that's the PDF's, that's the audio downloads, that's all the stuff, it's all the things, and they are important because the detail-oriented people are going to want to know exactly what's included in their offer. But in addition to the features, we also need to have the benefits, and this is the part a lot of people forget. With the features in mind, think about why it's important? Why would this person really be interested in this module or in this audio download? How is it really going to help them? Then you need to tie the two together! Feature benefit language is super important, start incorporating this in all of your copy, whether it's your sales pages, your landing pages, your free stuff, and yes you need it on the freebies too, they need to know why it's important. When you have the feature tie to the benefit, then you truly can hone in on that transformation and the audience can really have a better sense and understanding of how your offer is really going to help them. So, list your features, all the stuff, all the things, all the goodies that you're going to give to them, but then make sure to include the benefits!

In this episode of our Mastermind Series, we are discussing how to create hybrid challenges that have a paid and a free part and will create short-term as well as long-term business for you.
Embrace your mistakes! Celebrate them and learn from them. This is important. I really want you to celebrate your mistakes because you're one of the few that took action that got out of your head that made a decision and moved forward. You took that step. And, when you take that step, you have a new point of view, you have a new lens from where you were before, you'll never go back to where you were before. Because now, even if it was a mistake, even if it was something that didn't work quite perfectly and that's the great thing when it comes to marketing your business when it comes to putting yourself out there into the world like that, that perspective will allow you to pivot adjust change because again, we talk about all the time, marketing is testing, and the only way that you're going to test is you have to be vulnerable enough to put out imperfection is put out things that are not perfect because it's the market feedback that we don't have until we put our thing out into the world. So go ahead and make mistakes. That is how we learn.

Do you want to improve your marketing? Do you want it to get better? Do you want every time that you put an offer into the marketplace, it just gets tighter and tighter and tighter and so much more aligned? Well, guess what you need to do then? Track and measure your results, specifically your conversions. 100% of people that see your ads aren't going to click on the link. So, there's a ratio there, there's a percentage there. Everybody that goes to your landing page or your sales page are not going to buy or not going to opt in. There is a percentage there also. So, what we need to do is, we need to track this. That way we can look at the measurements. We are doing our tests and the other things that we always talk about, we can see incremental improvements, we can actually duplicate success, but we can't duplicate something if we don't know what's happening. So, track and measure!
Guess what! Now is the absolute best time for you to start a membership. Here's why… With a membership, it really allows you to give your audience an awesome, ongoing experience. It allows you to support them, it allows you to give them an experience where they could receive something on a regular basis from you. It allows them to have many touch points along the way and allows you to see the transformation that they're making too. Plus, as a business owner, it's going to give you that recurring income, give you that stability so that you can do more things in your business, that you have more opportunities to really help people in an even bigger way. It's a win-win for everyone!
One of the key pieces of being successful in marketing is having an open mind. Now, I know a lot of us think we have an open mind, but when we're presented with a new idea, a new challenge, just something new that's in our business, our natural tendency is to say wait, stop, I don't know, that's not going to work for me. All these different things, all these beliefs that we have about our business and why it won't work or why that strategy is not the best for us without even really looking at it from an open mind and open perspective. You know, the best marketers in the world and the best people in business are adaptable. They adapt to changes that happen in their business. They have an open mind, they try things out, they test things out, they give it a really good go and then make the determination there if it's best for their business. So when you're approaching your business and anything new that you encounter in your marketing comes up, I want you just to stop and listen and have that open mind. Listen first before you make any judgment, before you put the hands up and say, this won't work for me. Listen with an open mind first and then from there, try it out, put yourself out there, take those steps, you know, find a mentor that's going to help you along the way to really give it a good try before you make that determination. But have that open mind first, that's the first key step because an open mind can lead to so many opportunities in your business, but you have to be open to listen. So keep that open mind.

In order to be successful, eCommerce sellers need to have the ability to be flexible and pivot to meet new trends head-on. In this episode, Kasey Luck explains how Shopify merchants can take advantage of the hype surrounding NFTs by minting and selling them through their Shopify stores. Kasey is the founder of Luck & Co, an agency that specializes in increasing eCommerce conversion and retention rates through SMS and email marketing. Kasey walks us through the various use-cases for NFTs in eCommerce, the risks and rewards of branching out into NFTs, and how the crossover between eCommerce and blockchain will affect the industry in the coming years. We also discuss what drew Kasey to the eCommerce industry, and her passion for email and SMS marketing. She explains the power that these marketing channels can provide to business owners, and reveals the most common marketing mistakes she sees sellers make. According to Kasey, “When you start a new brand, the first thing that you should be thinking about and setting up is your traffic. If you don't have traffic, you don't have anything else. It's too soon to be focusing on things like email and SMS marketing if you don't have any idea how you're going to drive traffic to your site.” If you're ready to step into the future of eCommerce and learn more about NFTs and the metaverse, then this is a conversation you don't want to miss out on! Have you ever met someone that has tried to explain their product or service to you, but it's so complex and so complicated that you were just like, “what?”. Well, I don't want that to happen to you! When you're creating a high converting offer versus one that doesn't convert at all or that gets very low conversions, it comes down to how complicated you've made it. As human beings, we are pretty simple, we just want to know if what we're buying is going to do what we desire. But when we're marketing, many of us think we have to act differently, we put on this imaginary marketing hat and we start spewing out all kinds of crazy information, and we think this is what we are supposed to say, because it's marketing. We get caught up trying to explain all of that techno babble, and at the end of the day, we just need to give people clarity. What do they already desire? What is your offer? And then between where they are now and where they want to be, is the transformation. And it's your offer that provides the transformation, it's the vehicle to get them from where they are now to where they desire to be. Marketing can be simple. I really want that to resonate with you because a lot of us think that it has to be some advanced, crazy thing, but I'm telling you, the best copywriters in the world, they pay attention to their customer, they pay attention to the language that their audience is already using, and then they use that language in their marketing. Keep it simple, make it clear, give clarity, get out of the way, don't create friction… give high converting offers!

Inside this episode I spill the details on how selling has shown up and evolved in my own career, both corporate and online business. Plus, I share insights to help you decide if sales calls belong on your calendar for 2024 (and what happens to your speaking skills if you say yes.)EPISODE SHOW NOTES

Question: What words come to your mind when I say the word 'sales' or 'selling'? Do you have a negative thought come up like sales is sleazy, high pressure, awkward, uncomfortable, rejection? Its interesting because I've taught sales in front of larger groups of entrepreneurs and asked that very question and its surprising to see what people will say, and its mostly negative. If you have some of these feelings about sales then you will be blocking yourself from making money in your online business. On top of that, higher ticket sales will require you to get better at selling on a zoom or phone call because its hard for people to make those sales with just a checkout or sales page. In this episode I'll share with you my sales 'script' that has lead to $36 million (and growing) in sales. Its actually not really a script but more like a 'flow' and it makes it so easy to connect with your clients, it feels natural and will lead to higher conversions. Truth bomb: The most successful marketers are the ones that are adaptive. Now what exactly does that mean? It means they're not set in their ways and they're willing to try new things. We are creatures of habit, it's human nature, we don't like change. But in order to move forward, we need to adapt. This applies to everything in life, but as marketers, in order to get our message out into the world, we have to adapt sometimes with the way that we reach people, and that often includes letting go of some of the marketing methods that we've used in the past. Anytime you are presented with an idea that you're not sure about, I want you to take a deep breath and just listen with an open mind. That's the first step to being adaptive! Be careful to refrain from that self talk or automatic response of, “no, that won't work for me” or “yeah, but that's different in my industry” or “yeah but…”. Just stop and listen with an open mind! To be successful, you need to roll with the punches, roll with the changes, be adaptive when things change in life and mold to whatever is going on in the world so that you can get your message out effectively. So, listen with that open mind and be adaptive!
