Gentle Listeners - Here is part two of two on Netflix's Bridgerton season two episode four, "Victory." Amelia, Bryan, and Scottie have a lot to say about scent, cut flowers, horses, and net hats. Editor's Note There's also an all-timer in here that I didn't even give a pull quote for because I (Julie) felt like it should be experienced in the moment (h/t to Baron Bryan B, subsequent viewings of Mary Poppins will...never be the same). Lots of love - Amelia, Bryan, and Scottie Photo courtesy of Liam Daniel/Netflix

I (Julie) have a confession: I often judge people before I get to know them. I know, I know...it's a bad habit! In fact, before Devin and I became friends, I formed some quick assumptions about her! We can laugh about it today, but I recognize it's a terrible habit born out of my own insecurities. I've done the same thing with God; we all have. Today's episode will challenge you to drop your misconceptions and embrace the truth of God's love for you. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

We thought we were ahead of the game filming multiple podcasts. When we were editing and sending clips and audio, I (JULIE) ran out of storage on my MacBook and since Im a hoarder Lacie convinced me to delete the old stuff. In the process of doing that I also deleted the new stuff. So if the audio sounds weird its because I had to pull it from the video. We promise one day we'll figure it out.. Hopefully.. Today we have TWO special guests—Chandra Crawford & Gaby Estrada—who are both involved in the wonderful organization that is Fast & Female! Fast & Female is a Canadian charity on a mission to keep self-identified girls aged 8-14 healthy and active in sports. Fast and Female believes in the power of positive sport experiences and role models to give girls leadership, teamwork and resiliency skills. Chandra Crawford—an Olympic Gold Medalist and 3x Olympian in Cross Country Skiing—founded Fast & Female in 2005… BEFORE she qualified for her first Olympics. She has an MBA from the University of Calgary, and lives in Calgary with her husband, Jared, their three (soon to be FOUR) kids under the age of six, and their golden retriever Stella. Gabriela (Gaby) Estrada is the Program Director for Fast & Female and soccer coach. She is the proud daughter of immigrant parents from Guatemala, and took a shining to soccer at a young age. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Science at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education. Her research focuses on the intersections of race, gender and age, looking at the movement-based experiences of racialized women in Scarborough, ON. In this conversation, we get to hear Chandra & Gaby's stories as well as all things Fast & Female: its conception, mission, and the impact it has on girls and women across North America. I (Julie) am a REAL (Relatable, Empowered, Active Leader) Role Model for Fast & Female, and I even wore my special F&F shirt and earrings for our chat. ;) We learned so much during this conversation with these two inspiring women… we hope you do too! At the end of the recording the audio cut out so we were left without out typical goodbyes, we apologize in advance for the abrupt ending and process to get better! Teens have their own speak, using slang and lingo that can sometimes be difficult for adults to interpret. This week we are going to teach you a little bit about one of those languages, teen texting. Recently, I (Julie here) had my own encounter at a friend's house who has 3 teen daughters. As I was talking with the 17-year-old about her Snapchat communications, she shared that she hates to leave people "unread". She believes this means she saw their message but didn't reply with one. I tried to explain what the meaning of "unread" in general terms implies, that she never saw it...but she kept replying that "unread" means she saw it and didn't send a message back. After we each repeated our points multiple times, she finally shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know, that's just what we call it". Teenagers, with the most impressive conviction, speak in a different language even when they don't really know what they are talking about. Recently, Darlene discovered a service called Bark that analyzes what teens are actually saying through their various channels: social media, texting, email, etc. There she uncovered some shocking short codes teens are using to say things you need to know about. Whether you're the parent of a teen or not, you likely have teens in your life; you're an Aunt, a teacher, a mentor or neighbor. In this episode we unpack what teens are saying and how adults can keep up to date and even practical insight on how to protect the teens in your life in this ever-changing social society. Plus, for fun, Julie quizzes Darlene on common internet slang and that's sure to make you LOL. Here are the sneaky codes we discuss in the episode for handy reference: • 53X = sneaky way to type “sex” • KMS = kill myself • LH6 = let’s have sex • KYS =  kill yourself • MOS = mom over shoulder • POS = parent over shoulder • CD9 = code 9, parents around • GNOC = get naked on camera • 99 = parents are gone • WTTP = want to trade photos? • LMIRL = let’s meet in real life • 1174 = meet at a party spot • IWSN = I want sex now • CU46 =  see you for sex • FWB = friends with benefits • ADR = what’s your address • MPFB = my personal f*** buddy • PAL = parents are listening • TWD = texting while driving • GYPO = get your pants off Viewing in an app?
