La troisième édition du projet Archipel reprend ses quartiers à Contretype. Cette exposition collective présente six univers photographiques, chacun mettant en lumière le travail de jeunes auteurs et autrices de moins de 40 ans, actifs sur la scène belge. Olivier Grasser, directeur à Contretype, nous guide au travers de ces 6 séries qui dévoilent une photographie s'adressant au monde, à travers un éventail d'esthétiques et de démarches innovantes. Au micro aussi, Justine Menghini et Hugo Istace nous présentent leur série L28 qui tend à déconstruire le discours politique de façade qui accompagne la rénovation du parc de la ligne 28 sur le quartier de Tour et Taxi. Au travers de leur série « l'empreinte toxique du phosphate » Pierre Vanneste et Laurence Grun nous racontent, quant à eux, l'histoire d'une enquête de terrain menée du Sénégal à la Belgique, en passant par la Tunisie, et l'Espagne, sur les traces de l'industrie du phosphate, la pollution qu'elle engendre et qui imprègne notre quotidien. Côté architecture, cap sur le cœur de la ville de Rochefort : le Square de l'Amicale et son parc adjacent, le parc des Roches, font peau neuve. Un chantier mené en partenariat par le bureau LRArchitectes et l'Atelier paysage. Etienne Cellier, architecte paysagiste, fondateur de l'Atelier Paysage, revient sur les enjeux de ce projet qui redonne à la ville une fenêtre sur la nature environnante au travers d'une nouvelle place publique et de nouveaux espaces de convivialité dans le parc. Parti son appareil photo à la boutonnière, il a traversé l'ensemble des services hospitaliers. Les images et les interviews qu'il nous livre nous immergent avec force et douceur dans le quotidien et le ressenti de celles et ceux qui vivent l'hôpital, soignant.e.s et patient.e.s. Ses portraits et tableaux photographiques poignants de vérité, nous confrontent à l'essence fragile et vulnérable de nos existences et nous rappellent que, de la vie à la mort, au travers de tous ces gestes du soin, amplis d'humanité et de solidarité, demeure, contre toute épreuve, l'espoir. Nous partons dans les méandres de la mémoire de cette grande traversée. Sur les sentiers de l'architecture, Brice Polomé nous ouvre les portes de l'Atelier Goffart Polomé Architectes, situé au Nord-Est de Charleroi, dans la petite ville de Fleurus et qu'il a cofondé avec Damien Goffart en 2012. Un atelier récompensé en 2019 et 2021 par le grand prix d'architecture de Wallonie dans la catégorie « Jeune architecte » et « Prix spécial du jury ». Brice Polomé nous fait découvrir le projet de la Maison Mieux-Être, un bâtiment en construction qui prend racine aux pieds du nouveau Grand Hôpital de Charleroi, dans son parc, sur le site Les Viviers. Une maison qui sera ouverte aux patient.e.s en oncologie de toute la Belgique pour les accompagner dans une approche plus holistique de la maladie. Another BSE filled with a variety of opinions and good lessons learned with Mo, Sam and Mara!  It's GTWM Year 13 Episode 56, and its time to join the pod as they end the month of June while bringing in the weekend.  There's a lot to learn in this episode so make sure to stick around! “Candy Cane? Hey anybody know a Candy Cane?” We watched “Joy Ride” (2001) with the hilarious Michael Morgan and we're still brushing up on our CB lingo.  This little gem of a movie from 2001 fits nicely into that category of unintentionally homoerotic films from the early aughts.  Obviously, Paul Walker (RIP) is serving your friendly neighborhood Abercrombie & Fitch employee that stood outside the store, possibly shirtless, definitely way too hot to ever speak to in person, but we would be remiss to leave out or guy Steve Zahn.  All three of us have in our notes how cute Steve Zahn is in this movie - even with his dad-chic tucked in shirts and light washed, relaxed fit denim. We buy them as estranged brothers on a road trip to pick up Lewis's (Paul Walker) crush? Girlfriend? FWB? Whoever she is her name is “Venna” and she's played by the stoic - and since retired -  Leelee Sobieski. Don't ask us why, but if you were a fan of Leelee's work around this time - you're gay now. On this road trip across the American west, the boys play a prank on a trucker via their newly installed CB radio and all hell breaks loose. This movie has many rewind-able moments for little gay boys including Paul and Steve's buns on full display and Paul giving us his best lady voice over the CB, impersonating the fictitious “Candy Cane”.
