Sometimes we can be tempted to believe the bigger life gets the better life is. Perhaps this is a mindset that leads to the trap of sacrificing everything for the sake of our dreams. But what is a dream worth? This independence weekend is earmarked by a talk titled, “Stop Following Your Dreams” where Pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr. challenges us to rework a dream-chaser mentality into a heart that desires to be in relationship with God above all else. Although God wants us to enjoy all the good gifts that he has provided for us, he also wants to know if we will place these created things at the center of our lives. As we go on this faith journey, our faith will be tested. But we can always find the answer when we honor Jesus as more than enough. Remember, the center seat is always meant for the Creator himself.

Artist Gotta Stick Together And Support One Another!! I REPEAT!! Artist GOTTA STICK TOGETHER AND SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER!! We don't have healthcare for what we do. Some of us have no access to real help in terms of mental health and depression. SO WE GOTTA DO IT!!!! for Each Other. Simple as. With that said... I met this young talented young artist through a very good friend of mines. Who on the surface? Looks Happy, and got things figured out. But is having a bit of a hard time right now. I always try and reach someone through what they listen to first. Then you can open the lines of communication once you get to understand who they are, and how they're thinking musically. This is one of those times. This show is a complete dedication to my little hommie Mal. All the stuff that the kids are listening to these days that Mal turned me on to. AND IT'S JUST GOOD MUSIC!! These Kids are owning it. And we need to LISTEN to them. Artist Need To Stick Together And Help One Another. This is me doing my part. Now go do your part. Chin Up Mal. Hope this makes ya feel a little better. It's GONNA BE ALRIGHT!! In examining the making of the third version of Revolution (after Revolution 1 and Revolution 9), we talk to musician and composer Casey McAllister to consider the origins of the recording’s intro; author and producer Jerry Hammack fills us in on how The Beatles got that memorable guitar sound; and former New York Times music critic Allan Kozinn shows us how all three versions of Revolution taken together tell a particular kind of story.
Sparked by the air of social upheaval in 1968, John's song "Revolution" spawned three very different recordings: Revolution 1, Revolution 9, and Revolution (the single version). Today, in the first of a two part episode, we look at how Revolution 1 gave birth to Revolution 9, and discover the mesmerizing missing link between the two. Former New York Times music critic Allan Kozinn helps us deconstruct Revolution 9, and to make sense of why John created such a challenging recording in the first place.

Good morning, good morning, GOOD morning!!! Woooowwwhhhoooo, we made it!!! It's Friday, another end of a work week, for some of us. I could just as easily do a weekend show, which I'm heavily considering, but for now, I'm gonna take my two days off, and enjoy them, and prepare for the week ahead. Anywho, I really don't have a topic for today, but I'm pretty sure, that won't be a problem, as we ALWAYS find something interesting to talk about, but for the sake of drawing folks to the show, I figured the topic, IT'S GONNA BE ALRIGHT, would suffice. At a time, where folks are dealing with, ALL manners of chaos in their lives, one needs to know that, it TRULY is gonna be alright. Taking one day at a time, doing what you can, for you situations, and just trusting that things will get better, thru your efforts, is a solid way of getting to, ALRIGHT. As always, if you'd like to ensure that the show stays on course, please don't hesitate to support the show with your monetary gifts, by way of, http://www.paypal.com, using the email address, redhawk1967@hotmail.com. Your generosity is much appreciated.
