El líder del PP repasa en La Brújula los principales temas de actualidad de la política española en el día en el que han abierto un nuevo marco de negociación con Vox en Extremadura y Aragón.

Esta semana la actualidad nos pone el tema en bandeja: las declaraciones de Barack Obama en una entrevista, en las que dice que "los aliens existen, pero yo no los he visto", han despertado todo tipo de expectativas, críticas y suspicacias. Nosotros no estamos, claro, en la mente del ex presidente de los Estados Unidos, pero sospechamos que lo que Obama quiso decir es que el universo es muy grande y que seguro que en algún sitio hay aliens de un tipo o de otro. En cualquier caso, para arrojar luz sobre la cuestión hablamos con Luis Alfonso Gámez, que es historiador y periodista, especializado en mitologías contemporáneas y uno de los que más y mejor ha estudiado el fenómeno OVNI en España. Estamos a unas semanas de que despegue la misión Artemisa II, que llevará a seres humanos más allá de la órbita baja por primera vez desde 1972. Aunque esta misión todavía no aterrizará en la Luna sí será un test importante, que demostrará que la nave Orión puede albergar a cuatro astronautas durante los cinco días de ida y otros cinco de vuelta que les costará hacer el viaje. La Orión está dividida en dos partes: el módulo habitable, que tiene forma cónica y es el que bajará de nuevo a la Tierra, y el módulo de servicio, que contiene los motores y se encarga de proveer aire, electricidad y calefacción para el módulo habitable. Esta nave ya es, de por sí, un acto colaborativo, porque el módulo habitable ha sido construido por la NASA y el de servicio por la ESA, la Agencia Espacial Europea. Hoy hablamos con Guillermo González Gómez, ingeniero aeronáutico en la ESA y jefe de producción de este módulo de servicio, para que nos cuente cómo funciona y cómo es colaborar en un proyecto de tanta envergadura. En el programa mencionamos que ya habíamos hablado de Artemisa II hace unas semanas: efectivamente, fue en el episodio s08e17. Los fuegos fatuos son criaturas legendarias que, según las historias, brillan durante la noche y sacan de los caminos a los viajeros, buscando que se extravíen o que se adentren en terrenos pantanosos donde puede peligrar su vida. Siendo precisos, los textos no suelen hablar de "criaturas", sino más bien de "luces", a veces atribuyéndoles una intención maligna. ¿Podría ser que fueran un fenómeno natural, que se trate de luces perfectamente explicables por la ciencia? Ya en el siglo XVI algunos autores señalaban que, claramente, el fenómeno debía tener una explicación natural, y a finales del siglo XVIII Alessandro Volta propuso que se trata de los gases resultantes de la descomposición de materia orgánica, que de alguna forma entran en ignición y generan una llama. En la actualidad casi todo el mundo conviene que Volta tenía probablemente razón, y se ha avanzado mucho en describir la posible composición química de los fuegos fatuos, y cuáles son los mecanismos físicos que los "encienden".
