Word from the Lord Sunday, December 31, 2023 @ 12:25 a.m. CST ====== Thus saith the Lord: Many are not heeding the warning to be obedient. They want this present world, then cry out to Me when misery makes its home in their lives. They are rebellious and stiff-neck. My people lack understanding and refuse holiness to be sanctified. I am coming soon daughter and many are not ready for My return! Many are not ready for My return! I send my prophets to tell My people to turn and reform. Be ready for My return. Many deaf ears never hear My call. The time will come daughter when I call from the grave those who were obedient and served Me unto death. They will be raised to everlasting life. Many will I also call from the grave, those who were not obedient and served Me not unto death. They will be raised to everlasting destruction. Many are refusing to obey My simple truth: repent or perish. Many are, as you see, looking for a way out of My Judgment! But there will be no way! They are given the chance while it's still TO-DAY, but they continue to harden their hearts! Be not deceived, I won't be mocked! I am coming to deal with the nations that harm my Israel and I'm coming also to punish the wicked. No one sets the hour, nor the day of my return, only My Father who is in Heaven. Shun those who set dates, times, and year for My return, but are not truly ready to see Me in My glory! Tell the people daughter to repent, turn from their evil wicked ways and turn back to Me. I am coming at an hour that no man knows. Those who are not prepared and looking for Me, will all perish. To them, I am a thief in the night. For those who are waiting and making themselves ready, I am the long-awaited Bridegroom. I am coming for My Bride who has made herself ready - without spot, without wrinkle! Hearts must soften and agree - I am the Rock of Ages! I will judge and My Judgment will be correct - It shall stand! For I, Jesus, am coming quickly! Stay alert, stay ready for I am soon to come! My Word is trustworthy and true! I am the Alpha and the Omega. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Without repentance, there is no forgiveness of sin. Tell them daughter - be ready, get ready, the hour draw near! Thus saith the Lord! ====== Amen!

Rev. Bryan Stecker, Grace Lutheran Church, Nashua, NH joins host Rev. Brady Finnern to study and pray Psalm 3. What would you do if you had to flee for your life because of your child?  What if thousands of people are against you?  Our natural reaction is to either run in fear or make a battle plan.  Yet, David takes his fear and looks to the LORD.  The LORD is our shield, our glory, the lifter of my head, the God who answers from on high, and He is our Salvation.  “Lord Jesus Christ, as You are our salvation, grant us peace no matter the turmoil or the enemies that surround us.  Hear our prayers and arise to save us and take our fears.  Lord have mercy.  Amen”

Prayers that are written in the first person, from a spiritual perspective

Is there a “prime time” for serving the Lord? Many would claim that they are too young. With youth comes “busyness” and there is no extra time to serve the Lord. Others would say that they are too old. With age comes tiredness and certainly, they feel God wouldn’t expect service from someone old and tired! The Bible, however, gives us many examples of women serving the Lord at all ages. What these women did along life’s way may have been recorded in only a few words, such as the servant girl in Namaan’s household. Other times, an entire book is dedicated to the service of a woman, such as Esther or Ruth. In each case however, God thought their service to be significant enough to have it recorded for posterity in His Holy Word, the Bible. What can we learn from these women of the Bible, young, old and in-between, whom God called to serve Him in special ways? Beginning with the young, we look at their service “all along life’s way.”This is devotion 9 of 9 in a devotional series that looks at 9 different women throughout Scripture and how they serve the Lord.Serving the Lord as a Prayer Warrior: Anna is from the devotional collection All Along Life's Way, by Lu Garchow, originally published by LWML.

'Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,' says the Lord Almighty, 'and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.' - Malachi 3:10When we bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, God promises to bless us beyond our capacity to receive. The test is a test of the heart. Will we be willing to give the first of our income as an act of faith and trust in the Lord? Many people followed Jesus because He fed them (John 6). They wanted His stuff, not Him. Tithing tests our commitment to the person of Jesus over the provision of Jesus. Tithing is the ultimate test of the position of our possessions and the lordship of Jesus in our heart.Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/yourdailybible)

Do you have any spiritual progeny? Can you claim any sons and daughters in the faith whom you have helped to raise in the nurture and admonition of the Lord? Many of us have biological children, and we have a responsibility to point them toward Christ and to mirror the love of Christ in front of them. But we also have a God-given charge to make disciples. And that commission, given to us by Jesus Christ Himself, goes far beyond the initial point of conversion. We are to see to it that our children in the faith grow in their faith. We are to lovingly push them towards maturity and encourage them to take up their cross daily and follow Christ. One of the things we learn about the apostle Paul, as we examine his life in the Book of Acts, is that he had a passionate desire to see people come to faith, but an equally intense desire to see them grow spiritually. In Acts 20:1-6, Luke is going to introduce us to seven men whose lives had been influenced by Paul. They were his disciples, his sons in faith. We know little about most of them, but they were men who had placed their faith in Christ as a result of Paul’s dedication to sharing the gospel with Gentiles. But Paul had not been content to see them come to faith. He wanted to help them grow and watch them carry on the ministry of spreading the gospel to the four corners of the earth. Paul knew that his days on earth were numbered and that the future well-being of the church was dependent upon the spiritual leadership he and the other apostles would leave behind.
