He has been vice president of the San Fernando Valley Young Democrats and Controller for the San Fernando Valley Democratic Party, and served as a local staffer for U.S. Rep. Tony Cárdenas and State Sen. Bob Hertzberg. Santana is a board member for the Mid-Valley YMCA and ICON CDC, a nonprofit that helps with small business development.

This week we're joined by Marco Santana, Antoinette Scully, and Rose Grigoryan, 3 of the 7 candidates running to replace disgraced City Council President Nury Martinez in CD6, as they answer our questions and share their vision for the future of the district. When Nury Martinez resigned from the City Council in October, it left 270,000 residents of the east San Fernando Valley without representation.  The special election to fill the seat is April 4, and Mike is talking one-on-one with each of the candidates.
