On this episode of Mormonish Podcast, Rebecca and Landon are joined by author Mark Lines to delve into the mysterious Book of Enoch and its influences on the emerging theology of Joseph Smith.Mark's book, "Joseph Smith and the Book of Enoch:The Influence on Mormon Theology" explores Enoch as one of the sources of Joseph Smith's literary works. Joseph's "translation projects" the Book of Mormon, Book of Moses, the Inspired Bible and Book of Moses include prophecies, visions and allusions to the ancient biblical prophet Enoch. Did this renewed interest in Enoch in the religious and scholarly world during that time period directly influenced Joseph Smith's writings? Or do the similarities between Joseph's writings and the Book of Enoch point to a more divine origin?***How to DONATE to Mormonish Podcast: If you would like to help financially support our podcast, you can DONATE to support Mormonish Podcast here:DONATE THROUGH DONORBOXhttps://donorbox.org/mormonish-podcastMormonish Podcast is a 501(c) (3) https://donorbox.org/mormonish-podcast ****WE HAVE MERCH! **** If you'd like to purchase Mormonish Merch, you can visit our Merch store here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/mormonishmerch We appreciate our Mormonish viewers and listeners so much! In August of 2019, The Project Management Institute announced that it had acquired Disciplined Agile. According to Mark Lines, who together with Scott Ambler created Disciplined Agile, " The Disciplined Agile approach recognizes that every organization is different, and within each organization, there are different ways of working. The Disciplined Agile approach meets you where you are and allows you to tailor solutions for the way that you and your organization need to work.” The acquisition of DA is part of the PMI's continued effort to bring valuable tools and methods to the hands of people whose work involves management, enablement, support and delivery of projects and products. In this episode of the podcast, Scott Ambler who co-created Disciplined Agile together with Mark Lines, shares his thoughts on what this change means for those who practice a Disciplined Agile approach, those who follow a more traditional approach and why the PMI and DA have so much to offer each other. 2019 PMI Global Congress Mark Lines will be presenting at PMI Global Congress on Sunday, October 6 at 10:05 AM. In the final episode of Game of Frameworks Jay sits down with Mark Lines, co-creator of Disciplined Agile, to discuss the framework. Mark discusses how they're an agile framework but not necessarily a scaling framework, how they're pivoting to help organizations define their way of working, and how there's an "agile maturity model" built in! Scott Ambler and Mark Lines are the co-creators of Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD), and together they gave an overview of this framework in their “Disciplined Agile Master Class” at Agile2017. The duo enlighten us on the difference between their process-decision framework and scaling frameworks like Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or Large-Scale Agile (LeSS). And while they’re at it, they open the Pandora’s Box of “What’s better than Agile? And what does it mean to be “beyond Agile?” Howard Sublett hosts at Agile2017 in Orlando, Florida.
