Adam Thomas returns to the show with his pick for this year's "spooky season" and it's a movie that really surprised Rafe: the remake of the horror classic Night of the Living Dead. Rafe and Adam talk about remakes in general, Patricia Tallman and Tony Todd's interesting roles within the remake, the accusations of why George Romero was involved in this remake in the first place, and (oddly) Rafe's age (note: I'm not as old as Adam makes me out to be). Follow Rafe on Twitter and Letterboxd. Adam Thomas is half of the Double Edged Double Bill podcast. This week on Myopia: Defend Your Childhood, we try to get a man's bike back. We watched Pee-wee's Big Adventure, some say Pee-wee's bike is still out there...wait, Tim Burton directed what? Hey there beautiful, our Patreon is now live. For the past five and a half years, we have offered content, which has not only improved, but trained me in comedy and gathered lots of fans, thousands of downloads, and tens of thousands of streams. As a way to reward those who want more content and keep this show viable, we are offering a Patreon with extra episodes, exclusive content and much more. In the mean time, some old stuff is going behind the paywall while we gather funds for an editor to fix them and 100 hours of exclusive content and a building archive of never before heard stuff. In the meantime, please continue to rate and review us! Hey all,Sometimes life is weird. And sometimes it goes strange. And sometimes you just have to sift through them both to see what new and unusual things you can make.Fortunately, we’re at a point now where I can describe that shape: Long story short, Here Be Tygers is growing again. We’ll still be on Patreon, but you’ll see and hear both some new and a few more familiar faces. That’s right. Starting today, you can find Here Be Tygers, Myopia: Defend Your Childhood, and The Geekly Oddcast/Odder Worlds all in one place. This means that—with your support—we’ll be able to do more, create more, provide you with more: including livestreams, exclusive or early-access content, and Patron requested episodes. It might take some time, sure. But we’ll be happy to have you with us as we go.- J, Nic, Tom and DaveLike what you hear and want to show your support? It's drunken fun with Shawn and Stephanie. And Karen. And Jason. This is the fifth of the 5 episodes in the Stephanie cycle. At the end of February, my old pal Stephanie came for a visit and we recorded 5 episodes back to back to back. Starting with episode 90 these shows have been released every 5 weeks. So for the complete experience, you'll want to listen to episodes 90, 95, 100, and 105 before listening to this, episode 110. However, you do not need to have heard the other shows to enjoy this one. As we recorded, we tried several craft beers that Stephanie brought with her. This episode, unlike the other 4, does not have a coherent theme. You could almost consider it pure chaos, except for the fact that it is hilarious. It turns out that when I (Shawn) am drunk, I become a raving loon. There is a certain amount of structure to the episode, but most of it is people trying to keep me on topic. Enjoy this episode for what it is. Raw and unedited.
