Hi friends! In today's episode, I talk about learning to "self-regulate" and learning to care for ourselves even when life hits us hard or our emotions seem to control us. You're not alone if you are a sensitive person! Join the club! ;) I'm learning to find the gift of my emotions and how to care for myself even when they seem overwhelming. What does a return to normal (or a turn towards a brand new kind of normal) look like in a post-COVID world? In this special Sharathon episode, Sarah, Erin, Bri, and Rachel continue their impromptu series on what it means to survive and thrive in a global pandemic. Following on the heels of their earlier conversations (referenced in this episode as “the descent” and “the enduring”), they share the hopes, heartaches, and uncertainties they feel as they begin to resume daily in-person activities and leave social distancing behind. The Lutheran Ladies' Lounge podcast is produced by KFUO Radio, the listener-supported broadcast voice of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Call it a flex, a journey to self, or a proverbial right of passage, harnessing one's manhood amidst a world of increasing complexity is now more essential than ever. But the questions then arise: What are the things we need to do differently to overcome the overwhelming circumstances? and how do we go about navigating the relentlessness that is constant change over time? In today's episode we delve into some perspectives on just how to go about being nimble enough to walk a path that is progressing forward in a holistic and positive way. We look into: MANHOOD IN A WORLD OF VICES The un-sexy side of manhood - vulnerability and overcoming setbacks Owning one's manhood - adaptability, and taking responsibility for yourself and your family Giving perspective to manliness - mastery of self and maturity of thought MANHOOD IN A WORLD OF STEREOTYPES Being a brother's brother - embracing the idea of service to one another Redefining service - being a servant in order to be a leader MANHOOD IN A WORLD OF EMASCULATION Know your worth and strive for mastery Know who is for you and and who isn't Redefining your confidence Turn down (yes we said it) and Pull up. Trade-in you Henny double-cup for a glass of Palm Wine Central. We still keep it smooth.

Messy personal finance situations can wreak havoc on your life, your health, and your relationships. It's easy to feel as if there's no way out of the mess. It's easy to feel hopeless. There is a way out of the mess. There is hope. Beginning January 22, 2017 CrossWalk will begin to show individuals and families how to “Breakthrough” the pain, frustration and hopelessness of poor personal finance. CrossWalk will offer Financial Peace University (FPU) classes every day of the week. We are inviting everyone at Crosswalk and our community to attend. If you have never been to an FPU class, you will find many tools that can help bring structure and hope to your financial situation. We will also: Define stewardship in terms of God’s ownership and our management. Intentionally teach in a way that promotes biblical stewardship. Reclaim biblical stewardship and guide our church to be godly mangers of all that God has given to them. Note: To find previous messages from our Jesus, Son of God series, click here.
