Or maybe it does...for a little while. But before long, the weight finds its way back. If that's your story, I want you to know you're not alone. And today's episode is for you. Can a Christian lose their salvation? What does the Bible actually teach about eternal security, perseverance, and genuine saving faith? In this episode of LIVE FREE, Pastors Josh Howerton, Paul Cunningham, and Carlos Erazo tackle one of Christianity's most debated questions by walking through Scripture—not opinions. Together they examine John 10, Romans 8, Hebrews 6, Hebrews 10, James 5, and other key passages to explain the difference between genuine faith and superficial belief, why difficult warning passages matter, and how believers can have true assurance in Christ. If you've ever struggled with doubts, wondered whether you've done enough, or questioned if someone who walked away from the faith was ever truly saved, this conversation offers biblical clarity and gospel hope. In this episode you'll discover: What saving faith really is Whether a Christian can lose their salvation How to understand Hebrews 6 and Hebrews 10 The difference between conviction and condemnation Why your confidence belongs in Christ—not yourself Whether you're new to faith or have followed Jesus for years, this episode will encourage you to rest in God's promises while continuing to pursue Him faithfully. Stand firm. Think biblically. Live free.

Maybe you've blamed yourself for eating the cookie, skipping meal prep, or pulling into the fast-food drive-thru after a long, exhausting day. You tell yourself that if you could just be more disciplined, you'd finally stay consistent with healthy eating. But what if that's not actually the problem? What if you've been relying on the wrong thing all along? In today's episode, I'm sharing four practical strategies that will help you eat healthy consistently—not by trying harder or relying on more willpower, but by building habits that actually fit your real life. Because lasting consistency doesn't come from being perfect. It comes from creating a plan that works with your life instead of constantly fighting against it. So if you're tired of starting over every Monday, tired of feeling like you're always "getting back on track," and you're ready for a sustainable approach to healthy eating, this episode is for you. And if you've been listening, putting these strategies into practice, and you're still struggling to find consistency, you don't have to figure it out alone. I'd love to help you inside my Ditch the Diet one-on-one coaching program. You can reach me at TaraJ@DietDitching.com to learn more. I'd also love to connect with you in our free Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free, where you'll find encouragement, practical tips, and a community of women pursuing freedom with food and lasting health. Have you ever wondered why Eve and Adam disobeyed God's command and ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? Why did they give up so much blessing and freedom based on the word of a serpent? For thousands of years, we all have suffered under the consequences of their choice that day. Let's pause and consider how this happened so that we might live more aware of Satan's deceptive tactics as well as live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world. Thanks for joining us for this episode! Please take a moment to subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Have you ever caught yourself thinking, "I'll finally be happy when I lose the weight"? Or maybe, "Once I hit that number on the scale, then I'll finally feel confident." Maybe your mood rises and falls based on what the scale says each morning. Maybe you spend more time counting calories than you do talking to God. Or perhaps your thoughts about food, exercise, and your body have quietly become the thing that consumes your mind, your emotions, and even your sense of identity. If that's you, I want you to know something—you are not alone. I've been there too. Today's episode isn't about guilt or shame. It's about freedom. We're going to wrestle with a difficult but incredibly important question: Has weight loss become an idol in your life? That may sound like a strong question, but I want you to stay with me. Because sometimes even good things—like wanting to be healthier, stronger, or lose weight—can slowly begin to take the place that only God was meant to fill. Today we'll explore what Scripture says about renewing our minds, why our hearts can so easily attach our worth to our bodies, and how to pursue health in a way that honors God without making our weight our identity. Because here's the truth: Your value was never meant to be measured by a number on the scale. Your identity has already been secured in Christ. So if you're ready to stop striving for your worth and start living from the identity God has already given you, then this episode is for you. I'm so glad you're here. And if anything in today's conversation resonates with you, I would love to hear from you. If you'd like prayer or simply want someone to walk alongside you, you can email me at taraj@dietditching.com. And don't forget to join our Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free, where you'll find encouragement, support, and other women who are learning to pursue health with freedom instead of fear. Can Christians defend biblical truth without fear—and with compassion? In this powerful episode of LIVE FREE, Pastors Carlos Erazo, Paul Cunningham, and special guest Katy Faust tackle some of today's most difficult conversations surrounding marriage, same-sex parenting, IVF, surrogacy, and children's rights. Rather than beginning with politics or personal preferences, they start with God's design for the family and ask a foundational question: What is truly best for children? Discover why Scripture calls believers to speak the truth in love, how a child-centered biblical worldview reshapes today's ethical debates, and how the Church can respond with both conviction and compassion in an increasingly complex culture. Whether you're wrestling with these issues personally or simply want to better understand the biblical perspective, this conversation will equip you to engage with wisdom, grace, and confidence. In this episode you'll learn: Why fear should never keep Christians from speaking the truth God's design for marriage and why it matters A biblical perspective on children's rights How to think about IVF, surrogacy, and reproductive technology How to stand for truth while reflecting the love of Christ Stand firm. Think biblically. Live free.

Have you ever told yourself, "I'll just have one cookie," only to realize you've eaten three... or somehow the entire package? And then the guilt sets in. You wonder, "Why can't I just have more self-control? What's wrong with me?" If you've ever had those thoughts, I want you to know something: you're not alone. And this episode is especially for you. Because here's what most women don't realize: it's probably not because you love cookies too much, and it's probably not because you don't have enough willpower. There's a much deeper reason. It's called a scarcity mindset, and if you've spent years dieting, restricting foods, or telling yourself certain foods are "off limits," there's a good chance it's been quietly shaping the way you think about food without you even realizing it. In today's episode, we're talking about why restriction actually makes food feel more irresistible, how years of dieting can train your brain to overeat, and the simple mindset shifts that can help you finally experience peace around food—without relying on endless willpower. So if you're tired of feeling guilty every time dessert is involved, or you're exhausted from feeling like food has more control over you than you'd like, stay with me. I think today's conversation might completely change the way you see your struggles with food. And before we dive in, if you're ready to stop just listening and start putting these principles into practice with personalized support, I'd love to walk alongside you through my one-on-one Ditch the Diet Coaching program. You can reach me anytime at TaraJ@DietDitching.com. During the debates about the ratification of the Constitution, one of the questions involved the need for a Bill of Rights. One of the arguments against such a document was the idea that some may consider the listing of rights in the Constitution as permission to regulate those rights. We find an example of just such attempt to regulate rights in the Supreme Court case United States v. Hemani. Specifically, can the federal government deny your right to keep and bear arms if you use your liberty to use marijuana.

She Breaks Free....Ditch the Diet & Change Your Relationship with Food & Fitness
How many times have you told yourself, This time I'm going to get it right? Another diet. Another plan. Another Monday morning restart. Another promise that this will finally be the thing that changes how you feel in your body. And maybe it works...for a little while. Until it doesn't. If you're honest, your struggle was never just about food or the number on the scale. Deep down, you've been searching for something much bigger. Peace. Control. Confidence. Relief. Somewhere along the way, it's easy to start believing that the next diet will fix what's really happening in your heart. But what if the peace you're looking for was never meant to come from another plan? What if it was always meant to come from a Person? In today's Faith-Filled Friday episode, we're talking about three reasons to seek Jesus instead of another diet—and why shifting your focus from control to Christ leads to the lasting freedom you've been craving. Not just freedom in your body, but freedom in your mind, your heart, and your relationship with food. And if this message resonates with you and you'd like to go deeper, I'd love to connect with you. She Breaks Free....Ditch the Diet & Change Your Relationship with Food & Fitness
Have you ever caught yourself thinking about food... all day long? Not just when you're hungry—but wondering what you'll eat next, calculating calories, debating whether you should have that snack, or replaying everything you ate after the day is over? If you're nodding your head right now, I want you to know something: you're not alone. I lived that way for years. The hardest part isn't always what you're eating. It's how much mental space food takes up. When every meal feels like a decision, every craving feels like a battle, and every "treat" comes with guilt, it's exhausting. But here's what I've learned: if food is constantly on your mind, it's usually not because you need more willpower or a stricter diet. It's often a sign that your body—and your relationship with food—are out of balance. In today's episode, I'm sharing five signs that food may be taking up too much space in your mind, why it happens, and, most importantly, how you can begin finding freedom so food no longer controls your thoughts. And if this episode feels like it's describing your life, don't keep struggling on your own. Lasting change is so much easier with support and accountability. If you're ready to stop obsessing over food and finally build a healthy lifestyle that feels peaceful and sustainable, I'd love to help. You can email me at taraj@dietditching.com to learn more about working together. And if you're looking for encouragement, practical tips, and a community of women on the same journey, come join us in my free Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free. We'd love to welcome you, and you'll also be the first to hear about my free workshops coming this fall.
Stand firm. Christ has set you free!
What if much of what you've been told about America's founding isn't the whole story? As America approaches its 250th anniversary, Pastor Josh Howerton sits down with historian Tim Barton to examine six of the most common myths surrounding the nation's history. From Christopher Columbus and the Founding Fathers to Christianity's influence on America's founding and the role of believers in public life, this conversation dives into original documents, historical evidence, and firsthand accounts that challenge popular narratives. Whether you're passionate about history, faith, or understanding the foundations of our culture, this episode will encourage you to think critically, seek truth, and engage the world through a biblical worldview. In This Episode: • Was Christopher Columbus really a genocidal colonizer? • Were the Founding Fathers mostly deists? • Was America founded as a secular nation? • Is America's story defined entirely by slavery? • Did settlers commit genocide against Native Americans? • Should Christians stay out of politics and public life? History matters. Truth matters. And as followers of Jesus, how we understand both can shape how we live today. Stand firm. Think biblically. Live free.
