Can someone be forgiven if they never apologize? What is the unforgivable sin? And did Noah's Flood really happen? In this episode of LIVE FREE, Pastors Carlos Erazo and Paul Cunningham are joined by New Testament scholar and apologist Dr. Jeremiah Johnston as they explore biblical forgiveness, the danger of bitterness, the true meaning of the unforgivable sin, and whether Noah's Ark and the Flood can be trusted as real history. Drawing from Scripture, archaeology, ancient civilizations, and the teachings of Jesus, they examine the evidence and explain why these topics still matter today. Most importantly, this episode points us to the heart of the Gospel: while the Flood could not remove sin, Jesus can give us a new heart. In this episode: • Can you forgive someone who never apologizes? • What is the unforgivable sin? • Did Noah's Flood really happen? • Did the Bible copy flood stories from other cultures? • Have researchers found Noah's Ark? • Why Noah's story ultimately points to Jesus What if the hardest questions about forgiveness, judgment, and Noah's Ark all point to the same answer—Jesus? Stand firm. Think biblically. Live free.

If you've ever thought, "Why can't I just stay consistent with healthy eating?" or "I just need more willpower," this episode is for you. So many women blame themselves for struggling with food, cravings, overeating, or constantly starting over. But the issue isn't a lack of discipline. It's often years of under-fueling, over-restricting, constantly trying to lose weight, and never feeling fully at peace around food. Today, we're talking about the real reasons healthy eating feels so hard and why your body may actually be responding exactly the way it was designed to. We'll cover under-fueling, chronic restriction, constant dieting, and the lack of preparation that can make healthy choices feel nearly impossible. My hope is that this conversation helps you stop fighting your body and start building healthy habits from a place of nourishment, consistency, and freedom instead of guilt, frustration, or perfectionism. And if you're looking for support, I'd love for you to join our Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free. She Breaks Free....Ditch the Diet & Change Your Relationship with Food & Fitness
If you've been trying to lose weight for months—or maybe even years—your first instinct is probably this: "I need to eat less." Less calories. Less carbs. Less treats. Less food overall. After all, that's what we've been told, right? If weight loss is the goal, then eating less must be the answer. And while it's true that a calorie deficit is necessary for fat loss, many women have taken that message to an unhealthy extreme. They're constantly dieting. Skipping meals. Trying to survive on the lowest calories possible. Starting over every Monday with a brand-new plan and a fresh wave of motivation. Yet somehow, despite all that effort, the scale barely moves. Or maybe it drops for a little while, only to come right back. And then the frustration sets in. Because you're doing everything you think you're supposed to do, but by the end of the week you're exhausted, hungry, craving everything in sight, and the weekends completely unravel all the progress you tried so hard to make. So today, we're talking about a truth that many women desperately need to hear: Sometimes the reason you're struggling to lose fat isn't because you're eating too much. It's because you've been eating too little for too long. Now, that doesn't mean calories don't matter. And it certainly isn't permission to eat whatever you want whenever you want. But it is permission to stop believing that less is always better. Because sustainable fat loss requires more than simply eating as little as possible. Your body needs nourishment. It needs consistency. It needs enough fuel to support your metabolism, your energy, your workouts, and your overall health. When you're constantly underfed, it's often harder—not easier—to create the consistency that leads to lasting results. So if you've been stuck in the cycle of restriction, overeating, guilt, and starting over, this episode is for you. And if you're ready for personalized guidance on how to fuel your body well while still working toward your weight-loss goals, I'd love to help. You can email me at TaraJ@dietditching.com, and we can talk about what that looks like for you. And don't forget to join our Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free, where you'll find support, encouragement, and women who are learning how to pursue health without living on another diet. I'm so glad you're here. Thanks for listening.
Can Christians stand for truth without becoming angry, harsh, or compromising? In a culture where conversations about identity, sexuality, personal freedom, and truth dominate headlines and social media feeds, many believers find themselves pulled between two extremes: conviction without compassion or compassion without conviction. In this episode, Carlos Erazo and Paul Cunningham tackle some of today's most challenging cultural questions while exploring one of the most misunderstood emotions in the Christian life—anger. Through Scripture and practical wisdom, they discuss God's design for sexuality, why truth and love must remain together, the difference between righteous and sinful anger, and how followers of Jesus can engage difficult conversations without being controlled by outrage, fear, or cultural pressure. If you've ever wondered how to stand firmly on God's Word while reflecting the grace and character of Christ, this conversation is for you. In This Episode: The difference between righteous anger and sinful anger Why human anger rarely produces God's righteousness How to respond to controversial cultural issues biblically God's design for sexuality and identity Did Jesus affirm same-sex relationships? How Christians can engage culture without compromising conviction Practical ways to reflect the character of Christ in difficult conversations Truth without love becomes harsh. Love without truth becomes compromise. Jesus calls us to both. Stand firm. Think biblically. Live free.

Belly fat is one of the most searched health topics online. And honestly, that's not surprising. So many women are frustrated because they've tried everything they can think of and still aren't seeing the results they want. The problem is that the fitness industry has become incredibly good at selling quick fixes. Detox teas. Fat-burning supplements. Waist trainers. Thirty-day challenges. Cutting out entire food groups. The latest "secret" method that promises to melt belly fat fast. But here's the question: If those things actually worked long-term, would you still be searching for answers? Probably not. The truth is, most of those approaches create temporary results at best. They leave you feeling frustrated, discouraged, and wondering what's wrong with you when the weight comes back or never leaves in the first place. So today, I want to talk about the truth. No gimmicks. No magic tricks. No sugarcoating. Just the truth about what it really takes to lose belly fat and improve your health. Because if you're serious about seeing lasting results, there are some things you're going to have to stop doing. There are also some things you're finally going to have to start doing consistently. Now, that doesn't mean starving yourself, spending hours in the gym, or living on salads for the rest of your life. It means focusing on the habits that actually move the needle and letting go of the things that keep you stuck in the cycle of starting over. So if you're tired of wasting time on shortcuts and you're ready to focus on what truly works, stick with me because we're going to cover it all today. And if you're listening and thinking, "I know what I need to do, but I need accountability and support," I'd love to help. I offer one-on-one coaching where we work together to create a sustainable approach that fits your life. You can reach me at TaraJ@dietditching.com. And I'd also love for you to join our Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free, where you'll find encouragement, support, and other women who are working toward lasting freedom with food, weight, and health.
June 7th, 2026 | Freedom | Galatians 5:16-25In this message from the “Freedom” series, Pastor Todd Kaunitz walks through Galatians 5:16-25 and unpacks the ongoing battle between the flesh and the Spirit that every believer faces. With honesty and biblical insight, Pastor Todd shares his own struggle with sin and defeat, revealing how God used this passage to lead him into a life of victory and freedom. This teaching reminds us that the Christian life is not the absence of struggle, but a daily surrender to the Holy Spirit. While the flesh pulls us toward sin, the Spirit produces the character of Jesus in us—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, self-control, and more. Pastor Todd explains that victory over sin is not found in trying harder, but in walking closely with Jesus and yielding to the Spirit's power. You'll also hear practical encouragement on how to “walk by the Spirit” through prayer, worship, Scripture, community, and intentional obedience, while learning how to put sin to death before it takes root. If you've ever felt stuck in cycles of temptation, shame, or spiritual exhaustion, this message offers hope: freedom is possible, and it's found on the other side of surrender.
June 7th, 2026 | Freedom | Galatians 5:16-25In this powerful message from the “Freedom” series, Pastor Matt Darby teaches through Galatians 5:16-25 and reveals the daily battle every believer faces between the flesh and the Spirit. While many Christians feel trapped in cycles of defeat, this message reminds us that struggle is not a sign of failure—it's evidence that the Spirit of God is alive and at work within us.Pastor Matt explains that freedom in Christ is not achieved through willpower or trying harder, but through surrendering daily to the Holy Spirit. As believers walk by the Spirit, they experience the transforming work of God producing the character of Jesus in their lives—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, self-control, and more. This teaching also offers practical encouragement for overcoming sin by cultivating intimacy with God, feeding the Spirit instead of the flesh, and responding quickly to the conviction and leading of the Holy Spirit. If you've ever wrestled with temptation, frustration, or spiritual exhaustion, this message is a reminder that victory is possible and true freedom is found through a moment-by-moment relationship with Jesus.

Romans 8:1-11 Spiritual Acquittal (vv.1-4) Our liberation Our Liberator Our liberty Spiritual Acclimation (vv. 5-8) Acclimated in the flesh = Death Acclimated in the Spirit = Life Spiritual Accompaniment (vv. 9-11) Our Companion in our new life (John 16:7, Acts 1:8, Eph. 1:13) Our capability to live our new life More To Consider The Greeks had a race in their Olympic games that was unique. The winner was not the runner who finished first. It was the runner who finished with his torch still lit. I want to run all the way with the flame of my torch still lit for Him. J. Stowell, Fan The Flame, Moody, 1986, p. 32. Sometimes when we read the words of those who have been more than conquerors, we feel almost despondent. I feel that I shall never be like that. But they won through step by step by little bits of wills little denials of self little inward victories by faithfulness in very little things. They became what they are. No one sees these little hidden steps. They only see the accomplishment, but even so, those small steps were taken. There is no sudden triumph no spiritual maturity. That is the work of the moment. Amy Carmichael quoted in: Tim Hansel, Holy Sweat, 1987, Word Books Publisher, p. 130. The question naturally arises, must a believer spend his whole life on earth frustrated by ongoing defeats to indwelling sin? (7:21–25) Is there no power provided to achieve victory? The answer to the first question is no and to the second, yes. In chapter 8, Paul described the ministry of the indwelling Holy Spirit of God who is the source of divine power for sanctification and the secret for spiritual victory in daily living. But first Paul reminded his readers that therefore—since deliverance is “through Jesus Christ our Lord” (7:25)—no condemnation (katakrima, “punishment”) awaits those who are in Christ Jesus, as a result of their faith and identification with Him (cf. 6:13; John 5:24). Without God's perfect love, we cannot be free from condemnation and the bondage that we all face here on earth. But with God, we can live life and live it abundantly. Before knowing the Lord, Marina was living in bondage. Hear Marina’s incredible testimony and the ways God is using her story now as she serves in the Samaritan’s Purse Germany office. This episode was created by Samaritan's Purse and is part of their On the Ground with Samaritan's Purse podcast content, shared with permission. Resources: Listen to “Fighting Spiritual Battles: Human Trafficking in Berlin,” to hear more about Alabaster Jar and how God is transforming hearts amid spiritual darkness. Marina Nobiling, director of national programs at the Samaritan’s Purse Germany office, shed light on the current cultural and spiritual climate of Germany and talked about the ongoing Samaritan’s Purse projects in the country. There is an immense need for the Gospel to be preached in Germany and for Bible-believing churches to step up and lead. “We want to stand for the Gospel. We want to stand for Jesus … And we want to show in our programs and projects what it's like to be with Him; to be living with Jesus.” – Marina Nobiling Before coming to Christ, Marina said she was not merely neutral towards God, she was an enemy. Marina was in bondage—she battled an eating disorder and anxiety for years to the point of planning to take her own life. But when Marina had an encounter with the Lord, everything changed. “And I had a voice in my head: ‘I want you to live. And you can do it with my help’ … It was beyond any doubt clear. That's Jesus. My whole life I had the wrong thinking. That's not true. God exists.” – Marina Nobiling Marina went from believing that the Gospel was an old superstition to knocking on the door of the nearest church, asking to be baptized. She was on fire for God. Marina now takes this compassion to the streets of Berlin, ministering to women who are trapped in prostitution. She remembers what it was like to be in bondage and desires for others like her to be free; to be transformed by the love of Christ. Life can be hard, and Marina still struggles, but she has something to turn to that cannot be shaken: God’s Word. Marina created a “first aid kit” with Psalms and Scriptures that speak to her when she is fighting lies or feeling weighed down by fears. Her favorite verse, Isaiah 43:1, reminds her that she belongs to the Lord—nothing can take that away. “But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.’” – Isaiah 43:1, ESV If you’d like to keep up to date with more stories from On the Ground, please visit SamaritansPurse.org. Have you noticed how summer has a way of making healthy habits feel harder? The schedules change, vacations happen, the kids are home, weekend cookouts somehow turn into weekday leftovers, and before you know it, the structure you had during the year completely disappears. Then suddenly it's August, and you feel like you're starting over all over again. But what if summer didn't have to become the season of weight gain, guilt, and losing momentum? In today's episode, we're talking about how to approach summer weight loss differently, not through restriction, perfection, or trying to “make up” for every vacation meal, but by shifting your focus toward maintenance, consistency, and simple habits that actually fit this season of life. Because the truth is, summer can actually support your health goals beautifully. Fresh foods are everywhere, movement often feels easier, the days are longer, stress can feel lower, and when you stop trying to diet harder, it becomes so much easier to stay consistent without obsessing over every choice. So today, I'm going to walk you through practical ways to stay on track through vacations, busy schedules, cookouts, late nights, and all the unpredictability that summer brings, without feeling like you've ruined everything every time life gets off routine. And I'd love to hear from you. What are your summer habits looking like this year? What are you doing differently to stay consistent? You can email me at TaraJ@dietditching.com, and I'd also love for you to join our Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free, where we're encouraging each other to build healthy habits without the pressure of perfection.
May 24th | Freedom | Galatians 4:21-5:6In this episode, Pastor Peyton Coker walks through Galatians 4:21–5:6 and asks a powerful question: What does it actually mean to live free?Using the striking image of a hotel room versus a jail cell, Pastor Peyton explores the fundamental difference between freedom and slavery—not the appearance of the room, but where the lock is and who holds the keys. Many people are living trapped behind invisible prison doors of perfectionism, greed, self-righteousness, addiction, shame, people-pleasing, and performance-based Christianity without even realizing it.As Paul closes his argument to the Galatians, the message shifts from doctrine to deeply practical application. Pastor Peyton unpacks three key truths for anyone longing to experience real freedom in Christ:• Cast off your slave mentality• Stand firm in Christ• Check your motivation for obedienceThis episode confronts the crushing weight of trying to earn God's approval through religious performance and reminds believers that Jesus didn't save us merely to behave better—He saved us to enjoy life with Him, walk in freedom, and delight in His presence. If you've ever felt exhausted trying to be “good enough,” trapped in cycles of guilt and perfectionism, or burdened by striving instead of grace, this conversation will point you back to the Gospel: salvation is by faith in Christ alone, and true obedience flows from Spirit-filled love, not fear or shame.Freedom is possible. The prison door is open. She Breaks Free....Ditch the Diet & Change Your Relationship with Food & Fitness
How many times have you told yourself, “I'm just going to start over on Monday,” only to repeat the same cycle week after week? Maybe you start the week feeling motivated, focused, and determined to finally “get it right,” but by the end of the week, things fall apart, and suddenly you feel like you failed again. If that sounds familiar, I want you to hear this: the problem is not that you lack discipline, and it's not that you're incapable of change. The real problem is that you've been chasing perfection instead of learning how to build consistency. Because when your mindset is all-or-nothing, one off-plan meal, one stressful day, or one missed workout can make you feel like you ruined everything. So instead of adjusting and moving forward, you tell yourself you'll start over next week… and that cycle keeps you stuck. But healthy eating and lasting weight loss were never meant to be built on perfection. They're built on consistency. Small choices repeated over time. Learning how to keep going even when things aren't perfect. So in today's episode, I want to help you shift your thinking. We're going to talk about why consistency beats perfection every single time when it comes to healthy eating, and how to finally break free from the exhausting cycle of starting over. Because freedom doesn't come from being perfect. It comes from learning how to keep showing up. I hope you'll stick with me through this episode and begin to see real change, not just in your habits, but in the way you think about yourself and your journey. And if you'd love more support and encouragement, come join us in our Facebook community, Lose Weight, Live Free. What if avoiding politics isn't protecting the Church, but surrendering to the culture? In this LIVE FREE bonus episode, Pastors Josh Howerton, Ryan Visconti, and Josh McPherson tackle one of the most pressing questions facing Christians today: Should the Church avoid politics, or is civic engagement part of biblical discipleship? Through a powerful conversation on the Great Commission, cultural leadership, and Christian statesmanship, they unpack why silence in the public square may actually hinder long-term flourishing for families, churches, and future generations. This episode challenges believers to think beyond partisan labels and embrace a comprehensive biblical worldview that applies God's truth to every area of life—including government, policy, and culture. In this episode, you'll learn: Why many pastors are rethinking political disengagement How policy impacts discipleship, family, and church health What Christian statesmanship means biblically Why the Great Commission includes cultural responsibility How to think about politics through a biblical worldview Why “If godly people won't lead, godless people will” is a crucial warning Stand firm. Is UFO disclosure preparing the world for truth, or setting Christians up for deception? In this episode of LIVE FREE, Pastors Josh Howerton and Paul Cunningham unpack Acts 25–26, Paul's bold witness before political leaders, and what his example teaches Christians about courage, evangelism, and using every opportunity to share the gospel. They also celebrate 741 baptisms at Lakepointe and share practical ways everyday believers can live on mission in their workplace, business, and daily life. Then the conversation turns to UFOs, aliens, UAP disclosure, demons, angels, and biblical cosmology. As headlines grow louder and government conversations around “non-human intelligence” continue, this episode gives Christians a clear, biblical framework for thinking about the unseen realm without drifting into fear, obsession, or speculation. In this episode, you'll learn: Why Paul's defense before Agrippa is a model for bold Christian witness How believers can share their faith naturally at work and in everyday life What the Bible teaches about angels, demons, the heavens, and the unseen realm Whether alien life would actually disprove Christianity Why many UFO and alien encounters may have a darker spiritual explanation How Christians should respond to UFO disclosure without fear or obsession Stand firm.
