Hey Gang, We're back for a new episode & this is a very SPECIAL episode!!!! I have my first musical guest .... the one & only @obarowland. The #Chey5 for this episode was "Dead or Alive, if you could feature 5 artists on an upcoming project who would they be?? I got a chance to chop it up with Oba about his latest album "Northland" and breakdown the inspiration behind this 26 song project. Along with how he preps for his shows, when did he realize he had a gift for rap?? his first performance experience, what does he think the issue is with Detroit artists going further than they currently are?? etc. However, most importantly i wanted to do a breakdown of some of the tracks off "Northland" and more specifically his track "Dreams." This song is an ode to a lot of beautiful ladies around the city of Detroit and Oba gives an in depth (no pun intended) description of what he would do if he had his chance with them. He even shouts out a familiar name that you all may know :) :) and I had to get to the bottom of things lol. ENJOY!!!! Follow Oba Rowland on all social media platforms @ObaRowland and download his latest project Northland NOW available everywhere!!!! Exclusive interview and full music video!!Detroits own! Oba Rowland!
Dej Loaf is a hot, new female lyricist, that’s making her way into the hip hop scene with her new single entitled, “Try Me”. From the Eastside of Detroit, she dropped her first mixtape in 2012 entitled “Just Do It” that featured songs “Ay Yah” and College”. She linked up with Finally Famous’ SAYITAINTTONE and Adubb da Gawd, along with Oba Rowland to drop IBGM in late 2013, which featured songs “Where the Love At” and “Bad Teacher”. ---- Puma is Black Ink's ex-PR guy and Ceaser's forever "Frenemy". After leaving Black Ink, Puma opened Ink 124, the rival tattoo shop on the other side of Harlem. This "betrayal" caused him to be at odds with Ceaser, who has never quite moved past it. Unlike the other guys he left behind at Black Ink, Puma married the love of his life, Quani, and they are the proud parents of two-year-old Tamia. Tamia is the apple of Puma's eye. Even though Puma is now a family guy, he hasn't completely abandoned his old ways and finds that his quick mouth still gets him in trouble.
