We have this great salvation that was offered to us through the blood of Calvary. Not that we are walking in newness of life, we find that life is not always going our way but it is now being directed by the one who saved us. He is the one to whom we submitted our life at an altar of repentance and in the waters of baptism in the name of Jesus. As a result, He has made us to be a vessel for His purpose and in His kingdom. We just have to realize and remember that, although our world may seem to be topsy-turvy, the One that we allowed to take control in our lives is accomplishing all things in us and through us and for our good.

As Christians, our understanding is changed - we know and understand the brokenness of the world and ourselves, and we see how God is fixing it all.
Change is hard because it challenges our habits. We have good and bad memories of our past. Sometimes we get stuck in our past. TO move forward in live we must align our faith with our action to get on the path to change.

Pastor Kenny continues the sermon series A.D. He preaches on why bad things happen, and what we can do when they do happen.

Breakthrough often comes through praise when we align our focus with heaven. Bryant Ellis shares how thanksgiving, praise and rejoicing have led to many miraculous victories and provision in his life. He describes how God is not as focussed on the tasks we accomplish in life but rather the position of your heart toward Him in that season. Where is your heart in relation to His? Thanksgiving is a powerful weapon that builds faith and keeps our focus on heaven regardless of how we are feeling. It is an act of our will to choose thankfulness in every circumstance. Bryant also describes how thanksgiving can change the nature of something to make it holy. Combining thanksgiving with praise de-authorizes the dedication and rededicates it to God. Thanksgiving is powerful and keeps our focus on the solution!

Pastor Mike speaks on the Blessings of God - what do they look like? Are God's blessings always good all the time? We are all about being blessed, but what does that really mean? Do we see life the way God does? God sees things through a lens called eternity, we on the other hand are much more focused on the immediate things in life... It's just the way our natural man thinks. So when "bad" things happen do we begin to question the nature of God and the way that He is choosing to think about me, like he forgot me or doesn't hear my prayers for the good things in life? Or maybe we should look at life like God does, eternally focused. What does He need to do so that I stay focused on my relationship with him versus the temporary distractions of this life? Maybe if we see God's perspective we may adjust ours and see true blessings for what they are - the things that take me to my knees...
