What color is your parachute? If it's slowly being eaten by moths, who gives a fuck?In this episode, Jordan explores the strange, seldom questioned rule-set imposed on our lives by American society. Most Americans, and a vast majority of global citizens, fail to ponder the rules of the games they play. In fact, most of them don't believe they're playing a game at all. They have accepted compulsory school, a forty hour work week, and a minimum retirement age as if they were laws of nature. But, there are those among us who see life in a different way. They make their own kind of music.Jordan attempts to see the world through the eyes of two bad-ass, free spirits, Mikey Gordon and Lucia Carol. Mikey and Lucia are comedians and professional wrestlers. They live life like they're ten feet tall and bulletproof. By temporarily adopting their perspective, Jordan hopes to better understand the absurdity of the old guard, American way and perhaps get a better handle on his own parachute.Find all things Mikey Gordon and Lucia Carol at: [https://comedysuplex.com/](https://comedysuplex.com/) **This episode’s wisdom nuggets come from:**Robert FrostJoe RoganAlan Ball (writer of American Beauty)Jim CarreyandFred the BakerAggregated internet audio:[https://youtu.be/_zA1OtsvvC4](https://youtu.be/_zA1OtsvvC4)[https://youtu.be/b-7c4VNGOgU](https://youtu.be/b-7c4VNGOgU)[https://youtu.be/ie2Mspukx14](https://youtu.be/ie2Mspukx14)[https://youtu.be/WRK8qhuniJQ](https://youtu.be/WRK8qhuniJQ)[https://youtu.be/fosG7tmWTZ8](https://youtu.be/fosG7tmWTZ8)[https://youtu.be/iMuFYnvSsZg](https://youtu.be/iMuFYnvSsZg)[https://youtu.be/ridovIfoWdA](https://youtu.be/ridovIfoWdA)[https://youtu.be/petqFm94osQ](https://youtu.be/petqFm94osQ)[https://youtu.be/XUWKrzsFh2c](https://youtu.be/XUWKrzsFh2c)[https://youtu.be/lt-udg9zQSE](https://youtu.be/lt-udg9zQSE)[https://youtu.be/dmHcDWrMH-8](https://youtu.be/dmHcDWrMH-8)[https://youtu.be/bPTRtZFBNnM](https://youtu.be/bPTRtZFBNnM)Special thanks to Chris Naes from the Bacon and Naes podcast and Jimmy Lopez from Earth for being sounding boards for some of the concepts in this episode. Say your prayers little one. In this podcast, Jordan battles demons! While demons surely make great fodder for podcasting, it is their metaphorical nature that intrigues Jordan the most. We all have internal demons, although we seldom refer to them using such terminology. Demons may strike us in the form of physical ailments, psychological torments, and even separation from oneness with the rest of humanity. But if these demons, whilst unseen, have real impacts on our lives, can they be defeated using unseen weapons? Can a demon be cast out using the unseen power of imagination? How about meditation or yoga?Tim Pickerill(http://twitter.com/beardvsevil), of Watchers on the Couch fame(http://www.onyxedgestudios.com/watchers-on-the-couch), joins Jordan to partake in the sacrament and explore these questions deeper. What is the nature of imagination? What is its’ relationship to reality? And why don’t people use the word “EGAD” anymore? This episode’s wisdom nugget comes from the brilliant psychiatrist, Carl Gustav (C.G.) Jung. Jung’s summation may make Jordan sound a tad less crazy. But be careful, dear listener, because the less crazy Jordan appears, the weirder your world becomes.
