See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Welcome to four letter word season! We're kicking off with one of the most versatile words: it can be a noun, verb, punctuation, expostulation, full sentence on its own; it can be an intensifier, an insult and a compliment... and a Category A swear, which is why I've had to sanitise it for the title lest your pod app takes exception. And, of course, content note: this episode contains many category A swears, plus some sexual references. It's part 2 with Comedian, actress, and Netflix star, Fortune Feimster and she's back overflowing with wild stories, deep moments, and Hollywood surprises. She kicks off with a musical confession that she once performed Goodbye Earl live with The Chicks and raves about vocal queens like Kelly Clarkson (the slimmed-down version) and Alanis Morissette, earning massive diva points. We had no idea Fortune could sing until she shocked everyone at Chumpaoke. But, she swears she's not releasing an album, but now we know there's a voice under that comedy crown. From coast to coast, Fortune has done over 200 cities and 150 shows annually. She opens up about the grind of tour life and how acting—like filming Netflix's FUBAR with Arnold Schwarzenegger—gives her room to breathe. Season 2 is wrapped and packed with more action (and more Fortune!). But what happens when Fortune invites reality design king Jeff Lewis into her home? CHAOS. What began as a quick two-week makeover turned into four months of filming Hollywood Houselift and poor Jax (Fortune's soon to be ex-wife) was not thrilled. "Jeff pokes the bear." Fortune laughs, revealing the duo's dynamic clash—funny, never nasty. And yes, Jeff once called Pol' “the worst f***ing client imaginable. Badge of honor? Then boom—Madonna. Jax, a die-hard fan and fellow Michigan native, finally got to meet her idol at a private, no-phones-allowed event. And get this: Madonna knew who Fortune was and had seen her comedy. “She was kind, gracious… everything,” Fortune says, holding back tears. Jax got to thank Madonna personally for her lifelong LGBTQ+ advocacy. Total bucket-list magic. It's not all emotion—there's fashion shade ahead in “Runway Rundown.” Fortune reacts to Harvey Guillén's ruffled Critics Choice look (also worn by Chris Perfetti) and Hannah Einbinder's vintage couture moment from Hacks, drawing comparisons to Lucille Ball meets Paris runway. “It's exaggerated, it's bold, and she's serving,” Fortune says. Then: trivia chaos. Fortune plays “It's a Fortune After All” and tries to guess: - Who bought a banana for $6.2 million? (New York) - Who made $100M for one movie? - Who owns the most expensive yacht? (It's not Trump) She aces it. Then we dish on viral hecklers like Natalie Cuomo, Fortune's own nightmare heckler during her Sweet & Salty Netflix taping, and the absurdity of Mandy Moore dragging Amazon for delivering to her burned-down house. Then things turn emotional. Pol' gives Fortune a powerful coffee reading, guiding her through something long buried—a personal hurt she's carried silently. He encourages her to release it and reclaim her full self. Put the chandelier back up, he tells her, metaphorically and literally. It's a deeply moving, soul-illuminating moment. In the final moments, Pol' offers a stunning insight: Fortune may be holding onto something from her past—a moment she stayed silent, something she needs to release to truly level up in her life and career. “It's about coming home to yourself,” he says, bringing the conversation full circle.

We start off with a first-ever viewer mail taste test! Then our standard report on the state of public health and government functionality (spoiler, it ain't great). Our main topic is acronyms and some specific word-based folklore. Is the term "OK" really the greatest word ever created? And how was it created? Then, whether it's linking a rock band to Satan or lambasting a large bureaucratic organization, false "bacronyms" are mini stories all unto themselves. Finally, there's maritime and military terms like SOS, FUBAR and SNAFU, as well as the possibly acronym-related origins of Uncle Sam.
Everything is FUBAR, and I'm not exaggerating. I constantly reiterate that it's almost impossible to keep up with all the shit that's hitting the fan. I should modify that to say that I personally cannot keep up with it all. But my friend Heather Parton, better known as Digby, does a great job of it with the help of Tom Sullivan, Spocko and Dennis Hartley at her wonderful Hullabaloo blog at DigbysBlog.net.We're midway through what is shaping up to be one of the worst weeks in an awful few months since this administration has been in power, so I thought today would be a great day for a meeting of the minds with Digby. I always feel a little better after talking with her. Hopefully you will too.

We have a special episode to share today of the podcast, NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING, a new LAist Studios podcast that gamifies the Hollywood creative process. Every week, the show puts your favorite actors, directors, and screenwriters through the wringer (a.k.a. through a series of games) to see if they've got what it takes to make it in Hollywood because the truth is, as famed screenwriter William Goldman put it, “Nobody knows anything.” In this episode, guests Fortune Feimster, Dana Fox, and Abdullah Saeed go head-to-head in a battle for points over movies about time travel, time loops, and the allure of going back in time to rewrite the future.Guests: Actor/comedian/writer Fortune Feimster ("FUBAR," "The Mindy Project"); writer Dana Fox ("Wicked," "Cruella"); and writer Abdullah Saeed ("Deli Boys," "Bong Appétit").NOBODY KNOWS ANYTHING is a production of The Black List and LAist Studios, in partnership with The Ankler. New episodes premiere Tuesdays, and you can listen to the show on the radio at LAist 89.3 or LAist.com Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 10 p.m.
Andy Buckley, who played David Wallace on The Office, joins us! We also talk about Andy's current role on the Netflix series FUBAR and what it's like to act with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Krueger is more outraged by dried fruit than the abuse of political power (noonerpodcast@gmail.com). The MIRPs talk AI, outrage, Fubar rebuttal, why The Substance wasn't to their liking, and John Sylvain as an action star. FILL OUR SACK!
Send us a textSwan, Nemo, and Beaveman unite as a squad to talk about the giant poop show, goat rodeo, FUBAR world we are living in, and how it is affecting the human condition. Sounds deep doesn't it? Too bad Swan and Nemo are easily distracted by anything and everything. There are some serious moments, but remember, none of this is real. We are all living in some screwed-up version of the Matrix. So even if we are on a watchlist, a play is a play, and hopefully, we get bumped up in the charts.
