Hello and welcome to this episode of Agape Fellowship; here we learn God's word verse by verse. We are in Matthew 6. In the last episode, we learnt how to give and pray in a manner that pleases God.  Today, we learn from verse 9, how Jesus Himself teaches us to pray in the right manner.   Jesus continues His awesome sermon on the mountain. Addressing God as Father and Jesus our brother brings us close to our Maker. Jesus teaches us to honour God and trust Him for daily needs; teaches us about forgiveness and keeping from temptations. Though Heaven and earth belong to Him, we can approach Him through prayer.

Hello and welcome to Agape fellowship where we read and study the word of God verse by verse. We learnt in the previous chapter that Jesus did not come to overthrow the law but to fulfill it. We Got an understanding of murder, reconciliation, divorce, adultery, revenge and love, especially loving the unlovable. Jesus is offering lessons on discipleship. We are now starting to read Matthew 6.   God cares about how we do good things. The road we travel, the motives we had in travelling and the end result in all matter. Good deeds gain merit and gain atonement when we do it in the eyes of God. As for prayer, God doesn't approve of long and showy prayers but prefers truthful ones. Let us please God and not men. D

Hello and welcome to another episode of Agape Fellowship where we study the word of God verse by verse. Jesus is teaching the laws given by Moses with authority and clarity. In the earlier episodes, we understood God's stand on anger, conflicts and adultery. We saw how God's yardsticks are different from the carnal ones. Let's continue to study from Verse 31.  Marriage is an earthly representation of the undying and sacrificial love Christ Jesus has for His bride, the Church. Though God hates divorce, He allowed it by His permissive will so we avoid hatred and murder, and keep the peace. This is a reminder to not take marriage vows lightly. Jesus also teaches us how to love our neighbours and wants us to go the extra mile to help others out. God will be our defender when wronged. Do join us in the next episode as we continue to learn.

Greetings to you all in the name of Jesus. Welcome to Agape Fellowship where we study God’s word verse by verse. It gives us great joy to be a part of God's great big family and to read and learn from His word together. We are going to study the Gospel of Matthew. Gospel, as we all know, means Good news. This book is God reconnecting with man after about 400 years of silence after the time of Malachi. Matthew is the first book of the New Testament and one of the 4 gospels written. Matthew was a tax collector and renounced his worldly ways to follow Jesus. He was an educated Jew and this book is written for the Jews who were aware of the Old Testament prophecies. Let us stay tuned to learn more of what this book has to say about the life and times of the people who waited for the Messiah.

Once again, it is an awesome privilege to invite you to the Agape Fellowship, where we undertake a verse by verse study of the scriptures. Today we will start to cover the 3rd and final chapter of the book of Habakkuk. When we began our journey through the book, we saw the prophet’s questions to God concerning what was happening around him. Questions like: Why do the righteous suffer and why does God appear to be silent. However, when God responded saying judgement is coming, it was not in line with what Habakkuk had hoped and yet God teaches him that through such trying times that righteous shall live by faith. As we continue on in our study today, we will draw on the eternal principles of God who in His sovereignty ultimately accomplishes that which is good, just as He is good. Today we will learn that the judgements of God are in keeping with His mercies. Be blessed as you learn from His Word!

We have been learning from the book of Habakkuk and in our last installment we see God teaching Habakkuk that the righteous shall live by faith. The Bible in Hebrews 11, the famous chapter on faith, in verse 1 tells us what faith is. It reads: Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. The same chapter again in verse 6 reads: Without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Today we continue on from Habakkuk chapter 2 and we will also look more into what it means when God says: The just shall live by faith. May God bless you richly as you study His Word with us.

The Psalmist in Psalm 119:11 writes Thy word I have treasured in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee. Why do we study God’s Word? This verse tells us that it is so that we might avoid sin. Things start going downhill into disarray and chaos when we wander away from the words of God, or, in other words, sin. This brings into perspective what was happening in the Kingdom of Judah. Last time, we started on a journey with the prophet Habakkuk who, on seeing injustice, violence, and destruction all around him in Judah, asking God with desperate groaning why it was so and why God was not doing something about it. Today, we get to see how God responds to the prophet from Habakkuk chapter 1 and verse 5. Once again a warm welcome to the AGAPE Fellowship. Here we study the Bible verse by verse.
