Hi I'm Allen and I watch a lot of movies. This is me giving quick reviews of those movies. It's really that simple guys.
Listen to a white man talk about a movie criticizing how white people only praise and celebrate black trauma!
Have you ever wondered what it'd be like if Frankenstein's monster was a conventionally attractive woman instead of a monster? Yeah that's this movie.
I watched one of the saddest movies I've seen in awhile and this is me talking about it. Now go hug your brothers and tell your dad you don't want their life.
Hey look I'm back at this again! Today I went and saw the new romantic comedy Anyone But You and this is me talking about it.
Michael Bay is back on his bullshit with this one, but it also feels....perfect. get to the theater and watch this movie!
I went and saw the TERFs new movie so you didn't have to. And ooh boy you shouldn't.
Internet rejoice! There's a new Sonic the Hedgehog movie out and it's just as fun and charming as the original!
The Lost City is a lot of things. Mostly it's a movie. And here I talk about it.
They made a new Batman movie so naturally I had to rush out and watch it.
When it's Oscar season you probably should watch the movie that's nominated for the most Oscars this year right? Well here's my thoughts on Power of the Dog now available on Netflix
Tom Holland tried to be Indiana Jones using a clip show of video game cut scenes. Uncharted is that movie.
A story of Channing Tatum and a dog. That's really all there is to this movie. You like dogs? You like Channing Tatum? Well boy howdy do I have the movie for you!
I don't know what I can tell you about the movie Moonfall that you can't already garner from the trailer. It's a movie where the moon....is evil.
Kenneth Branagh has made another Hercule Poirot movie and this is me talking about it and butchering Poirot the entire time. It's delightful, unless you speak French and then I'm sorry.
Today I started my Oscar hunt with the new Guillermo Del Toro movie Nightmare Alley staring Bradley Cooper. And these are my thoughts on it.
It's January so that means more new horror movies in the theater! So today I went and saw the soft reboot of Scream! This is where I talk about what I liked and you listen to the show and then we both get something out of it. So go listen I'll wait right here.
I wanted to release this episode before we got too far into 2022 so here are my favorite movies from 2021!
Welcome back for 2022! Tonight I sat down and watched the new Paul Thomas Anderson movie Licorice Pizza! Which features zero licorice and not even a slice of pizza!
The movie some 30 years in the making is finally here and it's....fine. listen to me talk Ghostbusters Afterlife and a few more things. I only bring up my new cats like twice!
Today I went and saw the new Edgar Wright movie Last Night in Soho and I promise you this won't be the last time I do. A bit of a warning I get a bit weird here.
James Bond went pew pew pew bang bang. Explosions happened. It was super gritty and real. Listen to hear more of these excellent statements.
It's Marvel season! And with that I finally got around to seeing Shang Chi! Growing up I loved martial arts movies and it's so great being able to see that come back to the big screen in a big way.
Well spooky season is right around the corner as the crisp autumn air starts coming out so it felt only right to go see the new Candyman movie.
Today I was finally able to see one of my most anticipated movies of 2020, Free Guy. And even as an unapologetic Ryan Reynolds homer I have to say it was a lot of fun and creative almost to a fault.
As Summer comes to a close it means we are diving head first into biopic season and there might not be a better one than Respect, the Aretha Franklin biopic.
Looks we a re venturing back into the DCEU with a new look at the Suicide Squad. James Gunn clearly had fun with this one and so will you. It's on HBOMAX and in theaters but you already knew that because it turns out there's been commercials for this EVERYWHERE.
I don't know what the put here for this one. It's a incredibly beautiful independent movie that left my heart simultaneously broken and full. Go see Nine Days.
Today I thought I was going to get this drama, thriller, crime thing when I sat down and watched the new Matt Damon movie Stillwater. What I got was....not that.
Today's movie is the incredibly complex and beautiful The Green Knight. It will absolutely sound like I didn't love it but that's just because I am still trying to understand it.
I'm gonna put the same amount of energy into this description that they put into coming up with an original way to tell the Jungle Cruise story. Today I watched Jungle Cruise.
Well M. Night Shamalan is back at it again. At this point you know what the deal is but that doesn't mean I get to not watch it.
Okay so part of me wants to undersell Pig to you and just say it's the story of Nicolas Cage searching for his lost truffle pig but that really undersells the whole movie and this movie deserves more than that. It's dark, tense, funny and heartbreaking all at once and Nicolas Cage's best acting in YEARS.
Have you ever wondered about the history and lore behind the coolest ninjas to ever ninja? How about your favorite toys? Well have I got the movie for you! Hasbro knocked this one out of the park and I spent way too long talking about it!
Oh hey I've done 100 episodes! And to celebrate I got really stoned and watched that new Space Jam movie. This is me rambling about it for 12 minutes. Enjoy!
Well this week I escaped the doldrums of life into the theaters to see Escape Room 2. A sequel to one of my favorite movies from 2019. Does this live up to my own internal hype or does it fall short like so many sequels of the past?
Well Disney finally gave us a Black Widow movie and then they were FINALLY able to release it. Which then led to me FINALLY getting to watch it. And now you can finally listen to my review. Finally.
The story of a weekend gone sideways for a stripper and her new friend. I promise the movie was a lot more entertaining than that description makes it sound.
Nobody is one of the most fun and interesting action movies I've seen in a long time and I struggle to find ways to describe it as evidence by this episode. But I do.
How great is movie theater air conditioning? Allow me to talk about it's majesty for 14 minutes and maybe I talk a little Peter Rabbit 2 as well. Maybe.

Today I fired up the ol Disney+ and watched the new Pixar movie Luca. It's a fish out of water story-Literally. Also WHY CANT I WATCH THIS IN A THEATER DISNEY?!?!?
Today I watched a movie about a band I didn't know existed until yesterday despite how they clearly inspired so much of my favorite songs. Today I think you should too. As I mentioned in the show here's the link to that playlist Edgar Wright put together for the show. You should listen to it after you're done listening to this review. https://open.spotify.com/playlist/46TVLiwHDx5mJRBbSiM2aR?si=yE3bIW_SRqywA6YDNOqvrQ&utm_source=copy-link&dl_branch=1
You know those movies that get made entirely on the charisma of the two leads? And then that works and so they make a sequel with even more talented people that don't have the same chemistry or charisma of the first two people and since they sunk almost all of their budget into the cast everything somehow looks cheaper than the first one? Yeah that's this movie.
Today I ventured into a realm that is brand new to me. The realm of the the horse girl. This is my story.
Today I ventured back out to the theater for Disney's Cruella. I figured I had to.

And now for part two of my Netflix originals double feature - Army of the Dead. And much like a zombie it's a bloated mess that should be shot in the head.
Today I sat down and soaked up two Netflix exclusive movies and the first one you get to hear about is the Mitchells vs the Machines! It's a fun romp and new feel to what could be a tired trope and some of the most beautiful animation I've seen in awhile.
