It's an extra helping of Cinebabble with an episode bursting at the seams. Our trusty Cinebabblers talk all things movie and tv, kicking off with the latest round of Whatchoo Watchin' Bout (3:45) -- featuring Reservation Dogs, Ted Lasso, Annette, Don't Breathe 2, and Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard -- before paying a visit to the Trailer Trailer (21:45). From there it's reviews of Val Kilmer documentary Val (36:15) and Clint and Ken's top five docs (53:20), nostalgia dead-ender G.I. Joe Snake Eyes (1:11:00), Pig (1:19:40) and Atlantics (1:29:20), and a top-off spin of the CineTron-3000 (1:40:30).

"I am beyond grateful for the growth we've experienced since Ghostwriter was founded in 2015,” says Founder and CEO Chris Bragg. Founded in 2015, Ghostwriter Music has placed music in many of the most anticipated film campaigns, advertisements, video games, and TV promos in modern media. Honored with a 2019 Music + Sound Association (MASA) Award for Best Record or Adaptation in a Film Trailer, and in 2020 for Best Original Composition in a Film Trailer, and a 2020 Mark Award from the Production Music Association (PMA) for Best Use in a Theatrical Trailer, the company continues to expand with creative and efficient sonic solutions for an expansive roster of high-profile clientele. "I am beyond grateful for the growth we've experienced since Ghostwriter was founded in 2015,” says Founder and CEO Chris Bragg. “We've built an amazing team over the past six years with some of the hardest working people in the industry, and I'm so excited for our future!" Among the first companies to offer custom music composition for trailers, Ghostwriter is the go-to source for music and sound design that highlights upcoming feature films and television programmings from studios like Amazon, Apple, FX, HBO, Hulu, and Netflix, across all mediums of advertising. Recent titles Ghostwriter has worked on include: “Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard,” “Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” “RAYA and the Last Dragon,” “Cruella,” “Cherry,” “Army of the Dead,” “Nevers,” “Mare of Eastown,” “Ted Lasso,” “Borat 2,” “Mitchells vs. Machines,” “The Unholy,” “Tomorrow War,” “Quiet Place 2,” “Forever Purge,” “Call of Duty,” “Soul,” and “World of Warcraft.” The company retains major film studio clients, including Marvel, Disney, Sony, Paramount, 20th Century Studios, LEGO, Warner Bros., and Universal Pictures. Ever-expanding, the company also encompasses a publishing division, Astral Music, and Mantis, the firm's video games division. Ghostwriter Music is now bringing Hollywood projects to Nashville. With offices, a mix stage, and full post-production capabilities, the company's the founder/CEO Chris Bragg and COO Travis Michaud are spearheading the new location. Nashville's extraordinary pool of diverse musical talent is a crucial factor in Ghostwriter Music's expansion, as is a wealth of creative resources, recording facilities, and qualified associates, including the company's most recent hire, a Belmont College graduate. The Nashville location will concentrate on catalog growth and new artist development. In contrast, the Los Angeles location— managed by Bryan Nguyen, Partner, and Director, Creative Sync, and Paige Mount, Producer and Sync Manager—remains focused on custom music production. In this episode the crew gets together to discuss the #HitmansWifesBodyguard currently available for rent on the various #DSPs. The movie is a follow up to 2017 #actioncomedy #TheHitmansBodyguard. It reunites #SamuellJackson and #RyanReynolds and adds the talented #SalmaHayek who plays Sam's volatile wife. The trio face go up against and madman named #AristotlePapdopolous, played by #AntonioBanderas who plots to leave Europe in total chaos. The #Kincaids are as foul mouth, crazy, and trigger happy as you'd expect and hope they would be. Ryan Ryan Reynolds comedic timing and chemistry with his cast mates is on point. The movie overall is beautiful in its simplistic humor and vulgarity. It's not a cinematic masterpiece yet any stretch but it's somehow exactly what you needed at the time you watch it. I know that doesn't make a lot a sense, but it will when you watch it. It also shows that a black “stepdad” doesn't care about the kid, he was just trying to smash the momma, #fuckyoforte, #morganfreeman. Let us know what you think in the #comments below. This week's episode we review Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard! Starring Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Salma Hayek, Antonio Bandera, and Morgan Freeman.
“I Think You Should Leave”: serie de sketches cómicos en Netflix, demasiado peligrosos para “Saturday Night Live”. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/no-pasa-nada/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/no-pasa-nada/support
Welcome to hell—a.k.a. Belle Reve, the prison with the highest mortality rate in the US of A. Where the worst Super-Villains are kept and where they will do anything to get out—even join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X. Today's do-or-die assignment? Assemble a collection of cons, including Bloodsport, Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang, Ratcatcher 2, Savant, King Shark, Blackguard, Javelin and everyone's favorite psycho, Harley Quinn. Then arm them heavily and drop them (literally) on the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. Trekking through a jungle teeming with militant adversaries and guerrilla forces at every turn, the Squad is on a search-and-destroy mission with only Colonel Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave…and Amanda Waller's government techies in their ears, tracking their every movement. And as always, one wrong move and they're dead (whether at the hands of their opponents, a teammate, or Waller herself). If anyone's laying down bets, the smart money is against them—all of them.THE MOVIE PODCAST is one of Canada's top film and review podcasts. So much happens in this jam-packed double episode, we don't know where to begin. Joe and Laura host a screener of “The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard” and go viral. Then, somewhere between shit-talking and ranking religions, they achieve a dream that burns in the heart of each and every podcaster on the face of the earth: they (unofficially) break the world record (unconfirmed) for number of times a certain word (for a certain part of the female anatomy) is said in a single (double) episode. Did you get all that? It's time to count the clitorides (yes, that's the plural of clitoris) with the Frienders! To hear this week's bonus episode, become a Patron! Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he's been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes' honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him.FOLLOW USFollow Daniel on Twitter, Instagram, and LetterboxdFollow Shahbaz on Twitter, Instagram, and LetterboxdFollow Anthony on Twitter, Instagram, and LetterboxdFollow The Movie Podcast on Twitter, Instagram,TikTok,Discord, and YouTubeANNOUNCEMENTSNEW EPISODES:113: Interview with Loki Director Kate Herron and The Best Movies and Shows of 2021 So Far112: Cinemas Reopen in Ontario and Remembering Richard Donner111: Interview with Nobody's Billy MacLellan and Independence Day Turns 25110: Interview with Black Widow Cinematographer Gabriel Beristain and Transformers Rise of the Beasts Revealed109: Interview with Tara Strong, Voice Acting Legend and Miss Minutes in Loki108: Interview with Tony Bancroft, Disney Animation Veteran, Director of Mulan, and Creator of Pumbaa from The Lion KingREVIEWS: Roadrunner, Space Jam, A New Legacy, Black Widow, The Tomorrow War, Zola, Fear Street Trilogy, F9, Loki, Luca, Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, A Quiet Place Part II, In The Heights, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Spiral, Friends Reunion, Cruella, Army of The Dead, Riders of Justice, MODOK, Master of None Season 3, Those Who Wish Me Dead, Wrath of Man, Without Remorse, Mortal Kombat, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Recaps, Mythic Quest: Everlight, Love and Monsters, Shiva Baby, The Unholy, Godzilla vs Kong, and more are available now on The Movie Podcast feed! The sequel to one of the first films we discussed on Eavesdropping at the Movies, The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard reunites Samuel L. Jackson's hitman, Ryan Reynolds' bodyguard, and Salma Hayek's hitman's wife - whose role is significantly expanded from the first film's bit part. The vaguely sketched plot - Antonio Banderas wants to blow up Europe or something, and that's enough detail - is the wire hanger upon which jokes and comic character interplay are draped, but, crucially, is the comedy successful? Whether it is or isn't, and what we read into the audience response, is up for discussion, as is the deployment of the stars' personas and cinematic histories, what renders Ryan Reynolds' schtick endearing here where it's normally irritating, and whether the film's sexual dimension is overly vulgar or too one-sided. José has seen The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard twice now, and is no less in thrall to Hayek's aggressive, wild performance the second time, loudly and enthusiastically responding to it. Mike is much less impressed with the film, but does admit to warming up to it in the second half, after a particularly mad joke that we won't spoil here (but do in the podcast). If there are more Hitman's Bodyguard films to come, hopefully with increasingly deliberately clunky titles, we're up for them. Recorded on 4th July 2021.
