Alan Mertens is currently a  Senior Mechanical Designer at Sandia National Labs. He's a talented designer, engineer, and thinker.He taught me CAD fundamentals while I was in high school, pursuing mechanical engineering. Though I did not end up in engineering, I use CAD as a designer nearly every day.
