God promised that these valleys are always temporary, they are powerless to harm us, and that God always uses our pain for a purpose. God promises always to be with us during our troubles and to comfort us during our times of deep need.

The shepherd's job is to create still waters so the sheep can drink. One thing that is true about most graves is that they are owned by a family member and are intended to be a permanent resting place. Jesus did not need such an arrangement.
