Cancer is a club you never want to belong to, but you find the most amazing people when you do. Erica Campbell has a group of women who bonded over their breast cancer journey. Together they know what it means to face illness head-on -- to confront mortality, search for strength, and build the resilience required to move forward. As a breast cancer survivor who also lost her mother to the disease, Erica speaks the 'vocabulary of cancer' from multiple perspectives. In her debut memoir, The Mastectomy I Always Wanted, she pairs honesty and vulnerability with practical, compassionate guidance for anyone navigating the mastectomy experience. You Are Not Alone At first it may feel like you are walking this path by yourself, but in time you will attract the people meant to support you and walk beside you. It may take a while, but some people care and want to help. Be intentional and rigorous in seeking out those you need. Knowledge is power, and community is contagious. Small Steps Create Hope "Sometimes during my journey, I allowed myself 24 hours to fully feel sadness or grief. After that, I made myself do anything that felt like the next right thing. Even tiny actions—brushing my hair, taking a walk around the block—gave me a sense of accomplishment. When self‑pity crept in, I quieted my mind and listened for the small inner voice guiding my next step. I learned that even the smallest amount of patience and progress can create hope." This episode is about a hard reframe: stepping back from the dream of marriage and family, not out of bitterness, but honesty. Instead, I am investing my energy where growth is actually possible (I hope).I talk about the grief that brings up for my inner child, the relief that comes with clarity of direction, and why focusing on career and purpose isn't avoidance but a sign of maturity of the self. I discuss my nervous system limits (more on that soon), my mental health reality, and the cost of chasing dreams that perhaps aren't possible after all.I also introduce Dysregulated Daily, a new YouTube series of short, honest check-ins coming soon. In this mindset-shifting episode, Dr. Scott Watier and Tommy Welling reveal why most people struggle to maintain their fasting lifestyle during challenging times—their habits are only designed for perfect days. They introduce the "Full vs Floor" framework, a game-changing approach that gives you two versions of every critical habit: your ideal "full" version for good days and your non-negotiable "floor" version for when life gets chaotic. The hosts walk through practical examples for salt and hydration, exercise, protein intake, fasting schedules, sleep, and holiday navigation, showing exactly how to maintain momentum without perfectionism. They explain why discipline isn't about doing more—it's about never doing nothing—and how keeping habits alive even in their most minimal form tells your brain you're still moving forward. With the holiday season between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this episode provides the permission and framework you need to stop the all-or-nothing thinking that leads to weight regain, helping you build true consistency through imperfect action rather than abandoned perfection. In this episode, I talk about why the hard seasons become the most meaningful chapters of your life, how “bad days” shape the story you will one day tell about your becoming, the spiritual and psychological power of choosing to face discomfort, how God uses adversity to expand your capacity, conviction, and clarity, how to reclaim agency when life feels uncontrollable, what it means to actively participate in your own healing, how suffering transforms when you choose to feel it, not flee it and more. Listen to today's podcast... Everyone Has Bad Days! We all have a day that is off, but sometimes we feel pressure to pretend that all is good and that we are happy. Have A Bad Day is permission to actually have a bad day or to take a mental health day. Take One Action Today To Build Your #Resiliency! So Here Are Today's Tips For Building Your Resiliency And Celebrating Have A Bad Day: Know that there are friends out there to support you through it. Let them know that you could use a pick-me-up. Don't try to suppress those negative emotions. Recognize them for what they are. Feel them and then move yourself through the situation. Know that tomorrow will be different. It may not be better. It may be worse. But it will be different. Just because today was horrible, doesn't mean tomorrow will be. Your goal on these days is just to survive the day and minimize the long-term damage. Remember those times that were good so that you don't get so tainted by the bad day. Try a do-over. Sometimes going back to bed and starting the day over can be just the cure that you need! Good days, Bad Days, we've all had them. Sometimes you have to go through the bad days to get to the good days. The sun will come out and you will be like “I Made It!” Keep going!!

“Did God actually say you won’t have bad days?” This week’s message reminds us that even in hardship, God reigns as King forever. Drawing from Genesis 3 and John 16, the sermon explores how Jesus prepared His followers for trials—not to discourage them, but to give them peace and hope. Through stories of faith under persecution and personal loss, we’re reminded that suffering tests and strengthens genuine faith. God uses our hardest moments to prepare us for His purposes. Abide in Christ through every season. His promises are sure, and His presence brings joy that endures.

Alexander the Great. George Washington. William Shakespeare. Queen Victoria. What do all of these people all have in common? Not just that they're commonly in every student's history class, but what's left out of the textbook: they all routinely used drugs. They got drunk, stoned, high—and they aren't the only ones. Historian and viral TikToker SamKelly Kelly covers 40 historical figures in 40 chapters, starting in Ancient Greece and imperial China through modern day. His viral TikTok account has proven the voracious appetite for these uncovered histories, with more than 100k followers and 2.4 million likes, and HUMAN HISTORY ON DRUGS expands upon his most successful videos while also offering tons of brand-new content.Hysterical, reflective, and illuminating, Kelly introduces readers to the history that isn't included in school's curriculums. He covers well-known historical figures but introduces new angles to their stories that most people don't know about—such as William Shakespeare's fondness for cannabis, Sigmund Freud's love affair with cocaine, and Steve Jobs' endorsementof the benefits of LSD. He shares amazing true stories that will blow the most ardent history fans away, from how one of the most prolific creators of psychedelic drugs was on the DEA payroll, to the CIA allegedly doing sinister experiments with LSD on the college kid who became the Unabomber, to the pope who drank cocaine wine to fortify himself “when prayer was insufficient,” and more.Perfect for fans of bite-sized history, like Bad Days in History and Lies My Teacher Told Me, but also fit for hardcore history buffs, HUMAN HISTORY ON DRUGS is a punchy, easy-to-pick-up read the entire way through. History is rife with drug use and drug users, and HUMAN HISTORY ON DRUGS takes us through those highs (pun intended) and lows on a wittily entertaining ride that uncovers their seriously unexpected impact on our past.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

We go through seasons in life where the bad days are really bad days. Sometimes the good days are the good days. And then we are running days that seem like we're only barely making it by. The thing is, you have to treat all days the same. Most people allow the type of days they have to determine what they do and don't do. In the past 2 years, I've had many reason of why I should just quit. Quit recording podcasts. Quit operating my businesses. But I did the work any way. My commitment to showing up is stronger than my desire to quit. And there is not one good, nor bad day that will dictate whether or not I keep going. Things always average out they way they're supposed to. If you continue doing more than you want, you'll always have more good days than bad days.
