Praise the LORD Psalm 148 The psalmist proclaims praise for all of creation! In these Twelve Days of Christmas, how might you and I offer our praise for the birth of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords?

Do you ever find yourself looking for love and coming up short? We often look for love in our search for meaning and happiness, but this quest often leaves us disappointed. Christmas tells a different story—that love didn't fail us. Rather, love came down in Jesus to save us and transform us.

Pastor Kevin preaches this week on how "Love Came Down" from Luke 1:67-80.
Christmas is more than a season or a feeling; it's a love story. In this message, we explore how Christmas begins not with our love for God, but with God's love for us. Through John 3:16 and 1 John 4, we see that God's love doesn't respond to our worth... it creates it. Jesus didn't just say He loved us; He showed it by coming down, living among us, and giving His life so we could truly live. Whether you feel close to God or far from Him, this message is a reminder that you are deeply known, fully loved, and personally invited to receive the love that came down.

This Advent message invites us into the profound truth that Christmas is fundamentally about love—not the shallow, fleeting kind the world offers, but agape love, the sacrificial, unconditional love of God. We're reminded that while we use the word 'love' casually for everything from apple pie to our favorite sports teams, God's love is categorically different. It's the kind of love that doesn't diminish when circumstances get hard or when we fail to measure up. Through powerful scriptures like John 3:16, Luke 2:10-11, and 1 John 4:7-8, we see that Jesus didn't come from a distance—He stepped down from heaven's riches into our broken, messy world. The sermon beautifully contrasts the lies the enemy whispers to us with the truth of our identity in Christ: we are the Father's children, made in the image of a perfect King, truly loved by a God who is good. This message challenges us to stop looking for love in all the wrong places and recognize that the greatest love story ever told began in a manger. God's love doesn't just save us; it transforms us from self-centered individuals into people who reflect His love to a hurting world. The call is clear: we love because He first loved us, and that love should overflow into how we treat others—not just during the Christmas season, but every single day.
Psalm 33:1-9, 20-22 Lighting of Advent Wreath - Love The psalmist proclaims how the LORD loves righteousness and justice and how the earth is full of his unfailing love. How might we seek righteousness and justice in our day and wait for the LORD?

In this powerful Advent message, Pastor Nathan invites us to encounter the love of God not as a concept, but as a living, pursuing reality. Drawing from the prophetic story of Hosea, we see a vivid picture of God's relentless love toward an unfaithful people. Just as Hosea pursued Gomer despite her betrayal, God continues to pursue us—meeting us in our brokenness, doubt, and wandering hearts. This message reminds us that Christmas is not merely about celebration, but about divine invasion: love stepping into darkness, pain, and rebellion to restore what was lost.More than information, this service carried an invitation to experience God's love personally and deeply. Pastor Nathan challenged the church to allow the Holy Spirit to expand our capacity to receive and understand God's love, even when circumstances or unanswered questions make it difficult. God doesn't withdraw when we wrestle—He draws near. As we approach Christmas, this message calls us to return, surrender, and receive, knowing that God rejoices over us with singing. Love didn't stay distant. Love came down—and He's still pursuing hearts today. For more on LifePoint Church go to lifepointaz.com Check out our merch store https://lifepointaz-shop.fourthwall.comFind all our links in one easy spot https://linktr.ee/lifepointaz Follow us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/lifepointaz Follow us on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/lifepointchurchaz/

We go into the world with answers of Good News, being the Body of Christ through our words and deeds. PEOPLE:We Ask, We Answer PASTOR:As we prepare to go into the world, let us ask and answer the question we came with. PEOPLE: What child IS this? PASTOR: This is the one surrounded by sacrificial love. PEOPLE: What child IS this? PASTOR: This is the one who would go on to great sacrifice in the name of love. PEOPLE: What child IS this? PASTOR: This, this is the one “Enthroned by Love” who invites us into more love than we thought was possible. * Opening Hymn – “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name” #154 Lighting of the Fourth Advent Candle So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh, Come, peasant, king to own Him. The King of kings salvation brings; Let loving hearts enthrone Him. Reader 1: When we hear “let loving hearts enthrone him” in our theme carol, we are encountering the “essence of the message.” Love is at the heart of this beloved story of the birth of Christ. It is love that is the true definition of “kingdom,” of “kinship.” No one exemplifies this more than Joseph’s love for Mary and for the child. Reader 2: He is protector of Love; he is hospitality incarnated. Not only the very life of Jesus was in his hands, but his own character and sacrifice were influential in the way that Jesus went on to live his life and center “love for all” as his message. Reader 1: We light this candle of Love for those who need it most. (Light the three Purple Candles and the Pink Candle.) Reader 2: For all who feel they are on the outskirts of love. Reader 1: For all who know the loss of a love. Reader 2: For all who are rejected because of who they are. Reader 1: Our question for today at the scene of the nativity is this: “How will we make sacrificial love our aim in our time?” Reader 2: What child IS this? This, this, is the babe who was swaddled in love and wraps us all in love forever. This, this is Christ, the King, Whom shepherds guard and angels sing: Haste, haste to bring Him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary! Opening Prayer Here, at the nativity of your birth, give us the courage to face this moment with a steadfast love that casts out fear. Open us to new understandings of the unfolding story of your presence among us. Show us how to be with and for one another in ways that add to the flourishing of all creation. We pray in the name of the Child, the Love Enthroned in our hearts and lives. Amen. Children’s Chat Scripture- Matthew 1: 18-25 Pastor: The Word of God for the people of God. What is love? How can we experience it in our life?
Of all the words of advent, love is the word that gets used the most in everyday context. Everyone talks about love. Whether it's a Hallmark love story or how much you love eggnog, everyone throws around the word love pretty liberally. There are times when we get serious about the topic of love though.…

Psalm 65 Lighting of Advent Wreath - Hope The psalmist proclaims the hope of being in relationship with the LORD God. How do you and I join in hope for what is to come for the Advent season?
In Luke 1:1–25 we meet a couple waiting in the long silence of God, learning that hope is found not in what they see but in the God who hears their prayers. Zechariah and Elizabeth remind us that even in our own seasons of delay, God is quietly preparing something far better than we imagined—both for us and for the world.
Stephen looks with us at the parable of the persistent widow and the importance of persistent prayer.
God wants the church to be a place where the prodigal can find their way home. What changes do we need to make as a church family to make their journey home joyful?
