In our first Monday Night Live of the year, our campus pastor Pete Bullette kicked off our new series in the book of Romans! He asked us three main questions from chapter 1 of Romans: “1) who am I? 2) where will I receive my encouragement? 3) will I be ashamed of the Gospel?” How can you answer these three questions to start off your year on a trajectory towards God? This is the first message of our series in the book of Romans, Foundation, where we are looking at Paul's letter to the Roman church and seeing how we can lay a strong foundation through the wisdom and lessons found inside.

Are you truly owning your faith? In the third session of SALT 2022, Alex challenges us to take responsibility for our growth and personal relationship with God through prayer, devolution, and faith in the unbelievable acts of Jesus.

Where can you lose yourself for Jesus? In the second session of SALT 2022, Shawn Galyen, who serves in Granada, Spain, talks about how we must lose our reputation, our assumptions, and our agenda in order to to follow God and his commands to the fullest.

What does it really mean to live in real community? In the first session of SALT 2022, Alex Rodriguez, the National Chi Alpha Training Director, walks through how community is both discovered and made when we pursue relationships built around the truth of Scripture.

How is Jesus calling you to follow him? In our last message of the semester, our campus pastor, Pete Bullette, speaks about how Jesus calls us to develop both the active and passive aspect of our faith, and how they both lead us on the journey to becoming transformed through Jesus Christ. This is the fourteenth and final message of our series in the book of John, Come & See, where we are exploring what it means to seek Jesus and merge every aspect of our lives with his desire for us.

Whether you are simply transitioning into a summer away from your UVA community, or you are a fourth year transitioning into a new season of adulthood, we are all called to live with an undying love for Jesus. The question is, how do we live this out? Listen to our final MNL message of the year from our campus pastor, Pete Bullette, as he teaches us about the essentials of the Christian life and how they will enable us to live with an undying love. This message marks the end of our series in the book of Ephesians entitled Different, where we have been learning about how as Christians we are called to live lives that look different.

This semester we have been looking at what it means to live differently, and this week we are talking about some of the things that stop us from doing so. What does it really mean to submit to one another as in Christ? In her final sermon as a member of the XA at UVA staff, Erin Herrman delivers an detailed account of Ephesians 5:21-33. Along the way, she paints a picture of the social structure of an average Roman household to help us understand the dynamics of what the Scripture meant to its original audience. Ultimately, she challenges us to recognize how we can use the power we have to benefit God's upside down Kingdom. 

We have spent the first half of the semester talking about how the book of Ephesians anchors us to know who we are in Christ, now with that identity in full view we are learning about how we are called to live differently. Join us this week as our campus pastor, Pete Bullette, teaches us about why we walk differently, the ways we walk differently, and how we walk differently.

This week we are joined by a man who has a story that sounds as if it came straight out of the book of Acts. Our speaker, Paul Ai, went from being a Buddhist monk to being a witch doctor then after a powerful encounter with Jesus underwent a radical transformation. Listen this week as he shares his story about how the Lord transformed his life.

Is the Christian life really all that unique? Marcus Floyd, our guest speaker from Richmond Chi Alpha, teaches us that our identity in Christ is a call to change the way we think live. We learn that living out the Gospel story requires us to have hope in Jesus so that we can accomplish his unique commandments in the world today. 

What does it mean to come to maturity in Christ? This week one of our staff members, Amanda Frickie teaches us that our maturity in Christ comes from a place of interdependence. I need you, you need me, and we all need Jesus. This is the seventh message of our series in the book of Ephesians called In Christ, where we are learning about what it means to truly place our identity in Christ.

What are the things that get in the way of us experiencing the love of God? In our message this week, our campus pastor Pete Bullette talks to us about how our shame gets in the way of experiencing the love that God desires us to experience. It's Missions Week at Chi Alpha and we have a special episode with a UVA Alumna who works overseas. Come listen to what God is doing around the world and the way that missionaries have to prepare to serve in their fields. We also got some great advice about how to live missionally where God currently has us. We hope this episode encourages and expands your view of missions!

Are there any people that you find yourself unwilling to share the gospel with? This week, an XA at UVA alumna who works overseas asks us to consider what walls we have put up that prevent us from saying "yes" to God's vision for our lives. 

On this episode, Rigo talks with Marcus Floyd from RVA Chi Alpha about the ministry of reconciliation. What roles do our ethnicities and our stories play in reconciling others to Christ? How can we better resource ourselves as we seek to understand the places God has placed us in? Tune in to see what Marcus and Rigo had to say!
