Welcome to Chop Life Interlude! Our podcast was created to engage in conversation and discuss topics that are prevalent among our generation. Our group, GEN.COM, includes three African-American men with two of us being 1st generation Nigerian-Americans. We will provide different perspectives on issues that face the black community as a whole, but then also expand on them further as members of another subdivision within the community. As current college students, a lot of our discussions also will revolve around college life and providing advice for students both incoming and current. We want this to be an open forum where everyone feels free to voice their opinions and even challenge ours as well. Follow us on the Instagram @choplif3int and let us know if you'd like to #JoinTheTable to make yourself heard.

Welcome to Episode 4 of Chop Life Interlude!Often in life, origin stories matter more than one may realize. But, the truth is, being black in America, in the modern day and age, does not necessarily mean you share the same origin story as someone who may look like you. The diaspora wars, when it comes to “African” and “African-American” cultures, is an unfortunate yet glaring reality all black people have faced or have heard of at one point in their life. In this episode, with the help of a special guest (Isaac Addai), we analyze this divide, the tensions that cause it, and ways we as a people can better resolve the issue. As always like, rate, subscribe, share, and let us know how you feel. #JoinTheTable shekpe!
