Harry Jowsey has had a long and winding road through the world of reality dating TV, most notably “Too Hot to Handle” and “Perfect Match.” He rode his success from these Netflix hits to a podcast deal with Alex Cooper's Unwell network – and now, his own reality dating show, “Let's Marry Harry.” In this bonus, Leigh and Claire discuss a show that promises to marry the inveterate womanizer off for good. From its gimmicky concept (all 20 contestants are immediately given engagement rings and referred to as his “fiancées”) to its ill-fated attempt at a redemption arc for Harry, this show is wildly entertaining, frequently alarming, and offers much food for thought about the current state of the reality dating space and masculinity discourse.

This episode is lesson one from our Foundations of Masculinity course. I start with a true story out of Kruger National Park in 1993, where wildlife officials relocated a group of young male elephants without any older males to guide them. Within a few years, rangers started finding endangered white rhinos brutally killed, not by poachers, but by these juvenile elephants who had no elder to show them how to act. The second they flew in a few older bull elephants, the chaos stopped. When I first heard that story, it hit me like a truck, because it's exactly what's happening to men in our culture today. From there, I trace how we got here, starting with the sexual revolution of the 1960s and Woodstock's "free love" philosophy, and how removing responsibility and courtship from relationships between men and women actually backfired, leading to a massive spike in fatherlessness that's still wrecking families today. I break down the real difference between being male, being masculine, and being a manly man, and why manhood isn't something you're born with, it's something that has to be poured into you by other men. I also get personal, sharing my own dad's story of growing up without a father and how my grandfather, a hardworking farmer, shaped an entire ethos around what it means to be a man, even without ever using the word "masculinity."By the end of this episode, I dig into what Scripture actually says about a man's role, starting in Genesis, and I talk honestly about the different but equally valuable roles men and women carry, using some pretty relatable stories from my own marriage and home along the way. If you've ever felt confused about what it means to be a man in today's world, or if you've caught yourself acting more like a "man boy" chasing short-term gratification instead of long-term reward, this episode is for you. I close it out with a prayer over every man listening. Thanks for tuning in, and if this episode hits home, share it with a friend who needs to hear it. The TRUTH About the Manosphere, Toxic Masculinity, and True Masculine LeadershipWelcome back lovers! In this spicy and deeply raw episode of Sex, Love and Everything In Between, we are unpacking the cultural phenomenon of the "Manosphere" and the modern crisis of toxic masculinity. After watching a recent documentary on the topic, we had to take the conversation to the mics. We explore the stark difference between immature, fear-based control and mature, service-led masculine leadership. Why are so many men terrified of vulnerability? Why does our culture push the narrative that it isn't safe for men to feel?We dive deep into the psychology of the "little boy" searching for his father's validation through money, status, and control, and how this spiritual dehydration is impacting relationships, women, and the next generation of young boys. Most importantly, Jacob shares his profound insights from men's work, highlighting the incredible healing power of emotional safety, brotherhood, and bringing deep presence back into the home.If you are a man wanting to step into your true power, a woman desiring deep leadership in partnership, or a parent raising boys in today's world—this episode is for you. What We Cover:The dangerous illusion of the "Manosphere" and red-pill culture.True masculine leadership vs. dictatorship in relationships. Why suppressing emotions destroys intimacy and true connection. The deep "spiritual dehydration" driving the pursuit of money, cars, and status. How fathers can protect young boys and heal the culture by simply being present.Let's Connect! If you loved this episode, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with your lover or friends.Episode Highlights & Key Takeaways:[00:00 - 03:00] Intro & Catching Up: Jacob and Meg check in from "cloud nine," talking about their current spiritual era, before diving into the heavy topic of the day: the manosphere and toxic masculinity.[03:00 - 07:00] The Illusion of Leadership: Meg breaks down a triggering quote from the manosphere, explaining why a man acting like a "dictator" is not the true masculine leadership that women actually yearn for. Mature leadership is in service to a partner's nervous system.[07:00 - 11:30] Leading with Fear vs. Connection: Jacob explains how the inability to be vulnerable causes men to lead with fear and control. We discuss the lack of relational attunement and the "frenetic feminine energy" of constantly needing to be stimulated.[11:30 - 17:30] The Myth of the Stoic Man: Should men hide their emotions from their partners? Jacob explains the difference between emotional dumping and true emotional containment. We discuss the vital importance of men having a safe brotherhood to process decades of pain so they can bring tenderness back to their relationships.[17:30 - 24:00] Terrified of Love & The "Daddy" Wound: Jacob dissects how a lack of emotional safety leads men to chase material wealth, cars, and status. We explore how these outward displays of dominance are often just a wounded little boy begging for a father's validation and attention.[24:00 - 35:00] Changing the Culture of Men: How do we shift away from this? It starts with presence. Jacob shares beautiful stories from his men's work retreats and everyday life, emphasizing that men don't need to be hardened—they need to be seen, held, and allowed to have emotional range.[35:00 - 45:30] Protecting the Next Generation: The conversation turns to parenting. Meg and Jacob discuss the critical role of the father's presence in the home to protect the innocence of young boys. Why true success isn't about working yourself to the bone for material things, but serving at the "sacred altar" of your dinner table.[45:30 - End] Outro & Call to Action: Final thoughts on finding freedom in connection rather than consumption. What if the biggest barrier to Black men's mental health isn't toughness — it's the absence of touch? In this episode of Inner Voice, a heartfelt chat with Dr. Foojan Zeine, Dr. Foojan sit down with Aaron Johnson — public speaker, filmmaker, and touch activist — founder of The Chronically UnderTouched (CUT) Project, to unpack the “Black Brute” archetype, touch starvation, and the emotional healing Black men were never taught. Aaron opens up about losing his father in 2010, spending three years unable to cry, and the personal journey that led him to platonic touch, nervous system regulation, and healing through connection. Together, Aaron and Dr. Foojan trace how the hypersexualization of Black male identity was manufactured through Blaxploitation films and hip-hop culture — funded largely by non-Black systems — and internalized across generations as the “Black Brute” and “black buck” archetypes. We go deep into vulnerability, tears, grief, family systems, puberty and boundaries, and Aaron's therapeutic “body story” method, which uses singing, nature, and slow, consent-based touch practices to help Black men reclaim tenderness. Aaron also discusses his documentary “Dark and Tender” — a rare on-screen portrait of Black men of every age, class, and orientation holding hands and listening to one another — and why investing in Black male tenderness could reduce violence, consent violations, and mental health crises nationwide. This conversation is for anyone exploring emotional healing, toxic masculinity, touch deprivation, racial trauma, grief processing, and what true connection and vulnerability can look like for Black men in America. ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS: 00:00 – Intro: Inner Voice with Dr. Foojan Zeine 08:06 – Welcome Aaron Johnson to the show 08:52 – Losing his father in 2010 & the tragedy that changed everything 09:38 – Unable to cry for 3 years: reclaiming emotional expression 11:02 – Discovering the need for platonic touch 11:46 – What is the “Black Brute” archetype? 12:26 – Mentoring a young man through touch healing 13:22 – Gender vs. race: who has access to platonic touch? 15:13 – Origins of hypersexualization: Blaxploitation & hip-hop culture 17:19 – Who funds the “Black Brute” narrative? 19:21 – Vulnerability & tears in Black family systems 20:47 – The hidden labor of Black mothers preserving tenderness 23:45 – Puberty, boundaries & the shift in family touch 26:52 – The “body story” therapeutic method explained 29:14 – Singing, nature & building safety before touch 30:34 – Slow, consent-based touch practices in action 32:41 – The documentary “Dark and Tender” 34:29 – Why Black men are missing from healing retreats 35:11 – Investing in Black men's tenderness to reduce violence 36:24 – The prototype we were given — and bought into 38:14 – Has the film's impact reached Black American men nationally? 39:02 – Touch, culture & capitalism around the world 42:44 – A message to parents raising Black male children 44:40 – Where to find Aaron Johnson & the CUT Project 45:09 – Closing: Follow, share, and leave a review About Aaron Johnson: Aaron Johnson (he/him) is a public speaker, facilitator, filmmaker, and touch activist focused on the emotional and relational lives of Black men, founder of The Chronically UnderTouched (CUT) Project, and co-founder of Holistic Resistance and Grief to Action. Jonny and Heather weigh in on Pete Hegseth's decision to mandate testosterone testing for all soldiers over the age of thirty and offer free testosterone therapy if they are deemed to be "low T." Yep, that is Defense Department sanctioned gender affirming therapy. But it is also pretty misguded for military preparation, driven by what seems to be Hegseth's vision of hypermasculine, buff male bodies. This is not the only story this week of hypermasculine absurdity. The vice president judges the former administration for how they eat ice cream; the Tate brothers were arrested in the "manoscape" of Miami; George Santos is bidding for a comeback on a reality show about severe military training; Fox host Jesse Watters opines that a vasectomy lessens ones manhood; and would-be Attourney General Todd Blanche finally mans up enough to meet with Epstein File victims (sort of). These stories provide some hope that hypermasculiity may finally have "jumped the shark," demonstrating to all that it is time for that show to be cancelled.

Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week they discuss Texas U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico's ridiculous comments on whiteness and masculinity, Tucker Carlson leaving the Republican Party, major wins for socialists in New York City congressional races, and a media narrative lamenting the impact of lower crime rates on local businesses.First, they react to Talarico's absurd statements in his latest podcast appearance. His streak of insane woke rhetoric continues as he says that his imagination is limited by his "whiteness and masculinity.” Jim and Greg wonder when the left's obsession with identity will end.Next, Jim and Greg react to Tucker Carlson's exit from the Republican Party. Despite speaking at the 2024 Republican National Convention, Carlson now says he regrets his support for Trump and he denounces the GOP for its "betrayal of the American people.” Jim comments on the erratic state of politics today and both wonder what Tucker's next move might be. Then, they wince as avowed Marxists win the Democratic nomination in three New York City congressional districts. They were all endorsed by socialist NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Is this additional proof that open socialists are taking over the Democratic Party or will their radicalism actually help Republicans in November? Finally, they laugh at the media's attempt to frame falling crime rates as a negative development. Oakland, California has seen a significant reduction in car break-ins, but some reporting has focused on the impact that fewer repairs could have on auto glass businesses. Jim and Greg discuss how the coverage unintentionally falls for one of economics' most basic fallacies. Please visit our great sponsors:AG1Visit https://DrinkAG1.com/3ML Get a FREE Morning Person Hat and a FREE AG1 Flavor Sampler in your Welcome Kit with your first AG1 subscription.Fast Growing Trees Better plants, better growing, and an extra 20% off with code MARTINI at https://FastGrowingTrees.com/Martini for a limited time; terms and conditions may apply.QuoMoney is on the line. Real strength is not about getting yours at everyone else's expense. A storm was perched over DC for Fight Night. And just like that, the storm went around DC as if commanded by God Himself…The UFC event at the WH was spectacular. It was like the Super Bowl of fighting, and the commercials alone were worth the price of admission. The UFC event at the White House was spectacular—Super Bowl of striking and grappling, where the commercials alone delivered more knockout value than most fight cards. I read this tweet about the event:Remember when Obama joked that Donald Trump would never be President and Trump hit back by strategically dismantling the entire Democratic Party over a 10 year period culminating with a UFC Fighter announcing that Michele Obama is a man.And how about that Marine Corps BAND! Super Bowl of elbows and egos, where even the commercials could knock you out. And that Marine Corps Band? They didn't just play—they dropped the national anthem like it owed them money. And they played all the music, and truly shocked me with how good they were.I won't spend a lot of time on this, but I will say that watching fighters showcase their abilities and sportsmanship was something to behold. It was a toxic masculinity extravaganza. And every one of the fighters thanked President Trump for the event.I felt like it was Roman times without all the death and sex.Shout out to the new Secret Service too. Aside from Art the Clown, what has Damian Leone contributed to horror? We also come dangerously close to gatekeeping while we discuss what extreme horror is. Plus a discussion on the 28 Years franchise somehow leads to a talk about The Bride. We spend a good amount of time talking about Find Your Friends. About 98% of it is spent on the film's writing. It does not take long to realize this is not a good thing. There have been plenty of movies that have led to a discussion about the writing. There has been nothing like this one. The movie clearly deals with sensitive subjects. But it does it in a way that downplays the circumstances, the victim, and its heady themes. It is so bad that we have to constantly reiterate how we are not shitty men. (Who knows? Maybe we are. But that's a different matter.) How bad was the writing for Find Your Friends? So much so that we were constantly filing in story beats to make it make sense to us. And even then, we were still frustrated by what we had seen. This movie had all the ingredients to tell a powerful story about how women are treated. It instead was content to erratically work towards its admittedly wild finale. Clinical psychologist and men's mental health researcher Zac Seidler on how boys are being fed increasingly inflammatory content online, and what men can do IRL to offer a version of masculinity that is healthy and vulnerable, instead of hard and dangerous. Many young men are taking a journey on the internet right now which starts with inoffensive self-improvement videos on platforms like YouTube and TikTok, but quickly becomes something else entirely.Young guys are searching the internet for fitness, grooming or relationship advice, looking for self-esteem and self-discipline. The algorithm then tries to sustain their attention by offering them more inflammatory and more dangerous content, presented by influencers with cigars and sunglasses, who give them an ideology that blames women for all of their problems. This is the loose digital ecosystem that has been named the 'manosphere', and it's leading people to wonder what exactly is going on with men that they're being drawn into a dark place and ideology that completely alienates them from women and from real life experience.Zac Seidler is a clinical psychologist and the director of research at Movember, the men's mental health charity, and he is particularly interested in men's issues.Zac has conducted some world-first research into this online world, asking the questions 'What need is this content meeting?', and how can men be empowered to pull themselves, their sons and their mates out of this dangerous cycle.Keep up to date with the research Zac is doing via Movember, the leading charity changing the face of men's health. This episode of Conversations was produced by Meggie Morris. There's no shortage of voices telling men who they should be right now and most of them are answering the wrong question. In this conversation with Zachary Wagner, author of Men of Virtue, we get underneath the culture war noise around masculinity and into something more substantive: the four concrete crises facing men and boys today, why virtue formation is better than role definition as a response, and how the fruit of the Spirit offers a more deeply human, and more countercultural, vision of manhood than anything the manosphere or the stoics are selling. This is a conversation about character, embodiment, fatherlessness, meaning, and what it might look like for men to be formed into something more Christ-like.Zachary is an author, ordained minister, and New Testament scholar. He grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago in a homeschooling family as the fourth of six siblings, an environment that sparked his lifelong love of languages, ideas, and reading. After completing degrees from the Moody Bible Institute and Wheaton College. Zachary and his family moved to Oxford, England, in 2020 for him to pursue a DPhil (PhD) in New Testament studies. His research focused on the theme of reward in the letters of Paul and the Gospel of Matthew, and he successfully defended his thesis in 2025.He published his first book, Non-Toxic Masculinity: Recovering Healthy Male Sexuality, in 2023 with InterVarsity Press. His second book, Men of Virtue: How the Fruit of the Spirit Forms Male Character in the Modern World, will release from Brazos Press in May 2026. He is currently pursuing publication for his DPhil thesis, as well as a further writing and research projects on Christianity and Stoicism.Zachary was ordained for gospel ministry in 2022 and has over a decade of nonprofit leadership experience. Musician Sting suggested that the decline of manual labor jobs may be contributing to toxic masculinity, arguing that many men have lost a sense of purpose and direction as traditional forms of physical work disappear. Speaking to The Guardian, Sting connected broader social changes to economic shifts, highlighting how the loss of hands-on work and community identity can impact modern masculinity and spark deeper cultural conversations. Music tuned to 432 hertz is gaining popularity among workers and wellness communities, with some listeners saying it helps them stay focused, relaxed, and mentally “grounded” during tasks. However, experts say there is little scientific evidence behind the claims, emphasizing that any benefits likely come from personal perception of sound rather than the frequency itself. Being a man is not about how tall you are or how much money you make, despite what some voices in the manosphere may claim. It's about overcoming impulses, taking responsibility, and learning how to show up for others with dignity and care. But in a culture where many boys encounter masculinity first through algorithms, educators and parents are left asking a difficult question: How do we teach young men what healthy manhood actually looks like? In this episode, Samantha Vinokor-Meinrath speaks with Adam Teitelbaum about the growing crises facing boys and men, from loneliness and lack of belonging to the absence of visible male role models in Jewish communal life. Together, they explore how Jewish ritual, obligation, and community can offer an alternative framework for raising confident, emotionally healthy Jewish young men without diminishing anyone else's humanity in the process. Learn more about The Jewish Education Project at jewishedproject.orgThis episode was produced by Miranda Lapides and Dina Nusnbaum. The world's idea of masculinity and the Bible's vision of true manhood couldn't be more different. In this episode, Pastor Teis tackles the culture's push toward toxic masculinity and why it leaves men confused and discouraged. He then points us back to Scripture, where real strength, leadership, and purpose are defined by God—not trends. This conversation cuts through the noise and shows what authentic masculinity truly looks like. Website: davidteis.com

What happens to trans women when we call out and name chasers? Where does our fetishization come from? It may (not) surprise you to learn it's from the exact same people responsible for astroturfing the entire anti-trans movement, the same class of people responsible for so many of the crimes they accuse trans women of. And holy crap, do I have receipts. And you need to know that IT'S ALL CONNECTED. Buckle up, it's gonna be bumpy. Actor, comedian, and writer Boone Williams returns to discuss using your privilege and platform, and how trans people love Sonic the Hedgehog!
