We wrap up our series on Colossians by looking at 4:7-18. What simple but powerful lessons do we glean from Paul's final words to Colossae?

In the first half of our look at Exodus 32 (see sermon 11/3/24) we examined the first problem revealed in God's people: forgetfulness. In this second half of our examination, we study the second problem God identifies in His people: Stubbornness. And we also look at the beautiful encouragement found in the midst of the conviction: God deals with us according to His mercy, which never runs dry.

But the Hebrew word used for the exterior curtains is different than the word used for the interior fabric hanging separating the Most Holy Place. Why does this distinction matter so much? In Exodus 25 God gives the Israelites instructions for building a table in the tabernacle for the Bread of the Presence. What is the bread and why is it so important? What did this bread represent for the people of Israel and what should it teach us today?

2 Samuel 12 gives us an incredible study of repentance. In order to fully understand this idea and practice, we must understand 3 things: the objective horror and depth of our sin, Who we sin against, and God is righteous to judge our sin. So how does this story of David teach us these things?
As we conclude and consider the entirety of the ten commandments, we can see how they answer several simple, timeless questions, but ones that always comes under attack. Is there absolute truth? Where does morality come from?
