Completely Unestablished

This week Casey and Upo just catch up. We go into Casey's recent physical, the art of roasting, Casey's mixes, and what we want for Richmond in the coming years.

This week it's back to the pandemic crew. Casey and Upo just sit down after a long work week and have some beers while shooting the shit. They do get a bit into politics in the last bit so if you're not trying to hear all that just go to the next when you hear the conversation go left. 

Another regular episode this week with the regulars. Casey, Celeste, Dev, and Upo sit down to just catch up from the previous couple weeks. Trigger warning, if you don't want to hear about male anatomy, skip from 1:25:00 to 1:28:30. 

This week on Completely Unestablished Casey, Celeste, Dev, and Shem deep dive into Bad Bunny's DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. Upo sat this one out as he has no knowledge of music or Puerto Rico and we subbed in Shem (our resident Borequa) who was one of the earliest adopters of Bad Bunny. 

Another year down another hot wing challenge complete. This one was definitely the least prepared and structured wing challenge that we've done yet, so we may have gotten a little off track (by a little I mean we went clear off the tracks and into the deep end). Enjoy listening to three people drift further and further into chaos.

WARNING: Skip to the 10 minute mark if you're easily grossed out. This week Casey, Celeste, and Upo get to talking about bathroom habits, the drones hovering over Jersey, massages, and morphine.

Dev, Sah, and Upo sit down to discuss Upo's second pick for spooky season 3, The Strangers (2008). Spectacularly simple is the best way to describe The Strangers. Spoilers, duh. 

This week Casey, Sah, Dev, and Upo sit down to discuss The 9th Gate. Mixed reviews with this one with Upo giving it a mehh and the rest of the guys giving it favorable reviews so there is some real discussion instead of everyone agreeing with eachother.

We took a break from the introspectives this week. Celeste joins Case and Upo to just kick it and talk some nonsense.

Spooky season starts early this year! Casey, Dev, and Upo sit down to discuss Rosemary's Baby. Having to separate the art from the artist was a little tricky but we got through it!

In true Completely Unestablished fashion, we're about 5 months behind the curve. Shem, Casey, and Upo sit down to discuss their thoughts on the AoT finale and the series as a whole. Plenty of anime related tangents are included and obviously, spoilers.

This week, Kev, Casey, Dev, and myself just caught up. It had been a while since we all sat down and we spoke about Casey's vacation, COVID (again), drinking preferences, and Diddy.

We're a couple days late on this one but spooky season is a state of mind. Casey, Kev, David, and Upo sit down to discuss an absolute classic, The Thing. 

This week Kev, Dev, and Upo sit down to discuss No One Will Save You. No One Will Save You mixes two of our favorite genres, sci-fi and horror. After our watch we left not really sure how to feel about this one.

Kev's pick for SPOOKY SEASON 3 is "Dawn Breaks Behind the Eyes". This movie might have something to say and, although they pretend to, no one can really tell you what it is. We cannot really recommend this movie but we managed to get some laughs in this episode.

Dev, Kev, Casey, and Upo watched Ari Aster's film debut, Hereditary. This modern classic does not disappoint. First time in a while where everyone agreed about the quality of a film. There were some laughs amongst the scares in this one. 

Kev, Casey, and Upo watched A24's latest horror masterpiece, Talk to me. After the internet claims that this is the scariest movie ever, it had some expectations to live up to. 

Completely Unestablished DOUBLE FEATURE. On a Sunday morning (normally a day for lounging Completely Unestablished) we watched Oppenheimer, listened to Utopia, and recorded a podcast with almost no preparation.  We discussed freedom of speech, the necessity (or lack thereof) of nuclear weapons, our thoughts on Utopia, and the responsibilities of artists/venues.

This week Casey, Dev, and Upo sit down to talk about newly passed legislation, Bud Light, chicken sashimi, panic attacks and much more. This is what happens when we have an episode for which we prepared nothing.

Season 3 is here! We sit down to catch up on what has been going on since last season, the economic/social repercussions of A.I., and professional cuddlers.

In the  season three finale Casey, Dev, Oscar, and Upo run through the Hot Ones gauntlet on Christmas (yes, Hot Ones as in the Sean Evans hosted idiotic/genius idea of an interview with a twist). They tried to stick with the Hot Ones theme and they asked each other nonsense questions about themselves. Needless to say if you have misophonia you may want to skip this one. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all.

SPOOKY SEASON NEVER DIES!!! We had to take last weekend off in order to properly celebrate the spookiest day of the year but we end the horror introspectives on a great note... GREEN ROOM. One of the best horror movies no one ever saw. 

Spooky Season 2022 Episode 3 (kind of). In this episode Casey, Kev, Dev, and Upo discuss the insanity that is Titane (ti·tan). Upon watching none of them really considers Titane to be a horror movie but there is definitely enough for you to sink your teeth into. Beautifully acted and utterly bizarre this is possibly the best of spooky season 2022.

SPOOKY SEASON episode 2!! Casey, Kevin, and Upo sit down to cover MAD GOD.  We may have bent the elbow a little much and the result id this one getting away from us just a tad bit. In this "our most demonic podcast" we speak heavily on religion and manage to work in The Tower of Babel, capitalism, torture, and strange tangent about which loved one we'd save in weird if/then scenarios (thanks Casey).

Happy Spooky Season from Completely Unestablished! We are kicking off October with an introspective on Black Phone! As usual there are tangents galore! Casey, Dev, and Upo somehow mix in the DC sniper, Japanese baseball pitchers, the BBC show Luther, and basement décor (specifically rugs). 

This is a short, impromptu episode that Dev pitched as we were sitting around a bonfire at a BBQ.  Us living up to our name we just set up and asked anyone who wanted to hop on and talk to go for it. Obviously with this being a bbq there is quite a lot of background noise but we'll decide to call it atmosphere.

Casey, Dev, and Upo sit down to discuss the timey wimey madness that is Primer and the dark implications of time travel.

Season 3 is here! In this episode you can listen to 3 straight dudes talk about Roe V Wade, the myth of multitasking, Drake's "Honestly, Nevermind", and Kendrick's "Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers". 

In the final episode of season two Dev, Casey, and Upo are joined by Shem Orona and Derek Garcia. They comprehensively cover all that 2021 threw at us; from the political landscape to Verzuz they cover it all.

All of the patron saints of Completely Unestablished are present for Kev's last episode (at least for some time). Kev, Dev, Casey, and Upo sit down to simply shoot the shit about Kev's departure from, as Casey would put it, "the black hole that is Richmond".

Spooky season: 3. Dev, Casey, and Upo sit down to discuss It Follows! We had no business having as many laughs as we did while discussing this indie horror flick. Not sure if this episode qualifies to have a trigger warning but just in case... here it is. Enjoy!

IT'S SPOOKY SEASON!!! Casey and Upo sit down to discuss Wes Craven's seminal (at least in our opinion) classic... SCREAM! This one hit all of the nostalgia marks. From Blockbuster Video to classic video games and the negative symbolism behind wrap around porches we cover all things 90's.

The regulars are back! In this lost episode Kev, Casey, and Upo get into awards in reference to art, social issues surrounding houseless-ness, and not-so urban legends started by Casey's family (explicit in nature). 

This week Casey and Upo are joined by Malik Banks (multi-disciplined artist). They talked about fast fashion vs high fashion, fine arts, food quality, and much more.

Casey and Upo sit down to discuss The Green Knight. For the first non-throwback introspective they cover the central themes of the film and how it contrasts the source material.
