VMAs (16:00 -26:40), Movies / TV / is DG a psycho for watching disturbing programs (27:00 - 35:45)and a look into the world of a Giants and Jets fan (35:00 - 51:00).
The DMR presents the 2nd Annual 2017 Fantasy Football Special. DG and LordTreeSap are once again joined by Brandon Trager to talk about the upcoming Fantasy Football Season. The guys recap their 2016 Fantasy Football picks as well as get into drafting strategies for the upcoming season. From there, the guys broke down each position with breakout stars, busts, and potential sleepers. If you have a draft coming up, this is a must-listen!
The boys are joined with the host of the Hunt For Gold Sessions, Jeffrey "Jazzy" Albert. Jazzy talked about his successful Hunt For Gold Sessions and the amazing stories he has learned from his interviews. Jeff also shared his inspiring stories of running into Goldlink and D.R.A.M as well as his motivation in life. The DMR boys were even put on the hot seat as Jeff interviewed them about their inspiration for creating the Daily Mix Report. A lot of great topics on this episode so sit back and enjoy.
Tommy G joined the boys in the dungeon to discuss his recent study abroad trip to Italy. We talked about the end of Ladies Night at Murphy's (2:00 - 8:20), Tommy's trip abroad / memorable stories / favorite trips (8:20 - 32:00).
Summer is here so the boys recap their Memorial Day Weekends (2:12 - 7:20) and talk about the Worst Days of the Year (7:21 - 11:00). What is going on with Tiger Woods? (11:30 - 18:00). The Michael Jackson Lifetime Movie (yes, there was one)(18:00 - 22:00). We then brought Zack Furman on the show to discuss high school stories, movies, and the last times we have all cried. If you need to get dirt on us, use these crying stories (22:10 - 42:00). We wrapped up with our resident Hot Take Expert, Jarod Gosule, and talked NBA Finals, Kevin Durant's return to the Thunder, and the LaMelo Ball mixtape (42:05 - 56:00).
One of our favorite interviews to date. We got The Man, The Myth, The Yorktown Legend himself, Sisi, to join us in studio for an all-time interview. We talked about the battles from our In-House Basketball League and the state of the NBA. But the part you want to hear deals with Sisi's legendary stories. From slam dunking on tables to going viral on rooftops, Sisi did not hold anything back!
Episode 27 is in the books and the common theme of the day: Hot Takes. Founder of the The Anti Odyssey and friend (brother) of the show, Jon Saponara, joined the show to discuss his polarizing article that he wrote about The Chainsmokers and if they will be staples in pop music in 5 years. Jon also went to Game 1 of the Cavs vs. Pacers series so we got into the game and the city of Cleveland itself. We then brought in our resident Hot Takes expert, Playoff Gos aka Jared Gosule, to give us his takes on Kevin Durant, The Thunder, and Aaron Hernandez. We might have to call him Skip Gos after this segment. DG, LTS, and Producer Jim also discussed the Aaron Hernandez news as well as the Carmelo Anthony saga.
Another day, another ridiculous and funny episode from the DMR. We started off with what everyone is talking about, the United passenger. The guys debated if they would give up their seat. From there, the DMR talked about how they went viral (Thanks Sap) so let's see if they can keep this momentum...maybe. Other topics include the Fate of the Furious, a great MVP debate between Harden and Westbrook (Fear the Beard) and how we miss the Jersey Shore on TV. We'll leave you with this hypothetical: If you could take 3 people with you on Spring Break to form a Wolfpack, who would it be? For me, easy: Leonardo Dicaprio, Bradley Cooper, and Gronk. Throw me into the mix and we're cooking with gasoline as we island hop in the Caribbean.
We had a lot of catching up to do so we did some clean up in the beginning and started with our trip to Francesa Con. What an event. Mike Zaun didn’t disappoint (sort of) and we have a few stories to tell. The other big story took a turn into the realm of food and in particular, Bar Taco. We debated on which Bar Taco is the best and does it live up to the hype. From there, we took a look at our very own Lord Tree Sap’s “love” life (HUGE quotes on love) and his story of getting a girls phone number. We then took that to the next level and talked about how we approach females to get phone numbers. I’ll be the first to say that we are NOT ladies men so if you think our tactics are horrible, you now know why. Other topics include a good discussion about the movie, Get Out, and the madness of the NCAA Tournament.
The gang returns for another episode with a good friend and fashion expert making her way to the Dungeon, Emma Cunnington. The conversation focuses on two timely topics in the Grammy Awards and Kanye West’s Yeezy Season 5 fashion show amongst other things.
We are back with our second episode of the new year and it was a definitely a good one. The gang welcomes Adrian Zidi into the studio for an in depth interview, and he couldn’t leave without giving us the first Daily Mix Report freestyle session ever. Shoutout to French Prince for coming through! Of course we had to talk about the big game and all since it is Super Sunday. Giving our picks for the Falcons and Patriots matchup, but we also got into funny prop bets, best commercials and Lady Gaga. DG also explains the story of how he won a trip to meet his childhood idol Simon Cowell in California in addition to his awful looking driver license photo, featuring a 400 pound Dan.
The boys of the DMR are back with our first podcast of 2017, and we were joined live in studio by Tommy G (DG’s bro), as he gears up to leave for Florence, Italy at the end of the month. Dan and LTS dish out some knowledge about studying abroad as Florence veterans from the class of ’14. We also got into sports toward the end as we discussed the NFL Playoffs, Derrick Rose going missing and the state of the Knicks season now.
Our very last episode of 2016. Thank you to all the listeners for rocking with us for the last 6 months. This edition was a goody, as we had out first female guest in studio with us, the great Amanda Cesario. We covered a multitude of topics focused around the holiday season.Things got heated when LTS brings up his new phone background, which happened to be of someone he knew. Is that a weird move on his part? DG hits Mike and Amanda with our very first “In The Mix” speed round where he fired off some quick hitting questions like: crushes growing up, 3 dinner guests and favorite Yorktown bar/Pizza. The edition concludes with some final thoughts on 2016, as we reflected on what the year meant to us and many of the craziest pop-culture stories of the year. We even dropped a few gems about how life can be beautiful at times even when you’re working hard hating how things are going. Enjoy the episode. See everyone in next year. Be on the lookout for a revamped podcast come 2017.
The discussion begins as we hash out the Grammy nominations, who we think should win and artists that got snubbed. I got your back Travis Scott. We then went into Kanye West’s next move, as the first photo of him out of the hospital surfaced of him with BLONDE HAIR. It’s playoff time for the Daily Mix Fantasy League, as DG breaks down the matchups and possible punishments he and producer Jim are staring down. The boys also talked about what role Conor McGregor could play in “Game Of Thrones” as the show is joined by Ain’t No Daisy’s Genovese brothers. We also went over the state of the union for the Knicks, Jets and Giants. DG channelled his inner-Aaron Rodgers telling fans of the Knicks and Giants to “R-E-L-A-X” as LTS goes off on another Jets rant pleading to Woody Johnson, following the pathetic performance on MNF.
We kicked off the show with some TGE talk which included a classic LTS / DG story that involved a cab driver and some people that we will not be named *cough* just ask LTS*cough*. The heart of the discussion was the state of music and reviewing current albums such as The Weeknd’s Starboy. From there, we dived into the lives of DJ Khaled and Kanye West, two of the most fascinating people on the planet. Khaled has had a meteoric rise to popularity this year and we asked the obvious question: With all of his snapchat antics and saying, Is he for real or is this for show? We also talked about Kanye and why the canceling of his tour came as no surprise to us. Enjoy Episode 19 from the boys of the DMR. There’s a surprise at the end. I won’t give away names, but someone raps…
Another week, another podcast to get you through a depressing Sunday night / Monday morning. I’d say the topic that generated the most discussion was my “State of The Union for The Daily Mix Report.” If you didn’t read it, check it out here. We get into the history of the Mix and talk about the promising future. Really interesting discussion especially if you have been reading our site so check it out!
The majority of the podcast was dedicated to recapping the past couple of weeks. It was the three of us shooting the shit about what we did and we came away with some good stories. Our Halloween recap got heated, which we posted on Facebook live so watch the video, and we all talked about our costumes (or lack of…looking at Producer Jim). If you couldn’t tell from the main photo, LTS and myself dressed pretty ridiculous, but we have some good stories from the bar. We always do our picks at the end and briefly touched on #Knickstape. LTS went on Francesa so we have a clip from the show.
The biggest topic of discussion was prom and in particular, prom proposals. We have absolutely NO idea how we go down these so called romantic tangents. We all got into how everyone asked their date to prom. We all had different proposals and gave each other grades on our performances. Once again, LTS continued to feed us gold and his prom proposal story did not disappoint. Hint: take a look at the picture. This debate got heated. It was also Poker Night in the dungeon so the gang talks about playing cards, our NFL Picks contest, the successor to Mike Francesa, and J.R. Smith getting his money.
Episode 14 is here and we have a good one for you. We do our usual NFL recaps and picks towards the end, talk about our new Facebook page, and worshipped our idol, Conor McGregor. By far, the hottest discussion of the episode was about engagements and how we would each do our proposals (starts at about 9:30). I don’t want to give too much away, but my jaw dropped at LordTreeSap’s take on proposals. Let’s just say he’s in favor of going to a Knicks game the night of his engagement. I couldn’t believe the words that were coming out of his mouth. Sorry, ladies. We then talk about online dating and if you should say if you met on Tinder or not. It’s a tough area so tune in for our takes. Enjoy.
Episode 13 is here, make sure to give us a listen as you enjoy your NFL Sunday. New logo alert! (DJ Khaled voice) We finally are on the board after reaching out to the Twitter world. Be on the lookout for a Facebook page very soon as well. The gang talks week 3 picks, Brady vs Belichick, Brad Pitt-Angelina divorce and much more.
The boys get into the underrated life of Jamal Woolard Aka The Actor who played Biggie in Notorious Aka Gravy. The guy is a legend.
Episode 11 of the podcast is here. This show is full of arguments with the biggest one between DG and LordTreeSap. I don’t want to spoil it, but ask yourself this: You received a free pair of headphones. You decide to sell them and your good friend is interested in buying them. How much would you charge that person? Things got heated.
The DB’s of the DMR are back. We have reached double digits, folks! Thank you for all the feedback so far. We really appreciate it. The future is bright for the podcast. More in-studio guests and a call-in line are in the works so stay tuned! We talked about LordTreeSap’s ridiculous love for Madden, the power of Internet trends, Las Vegas, and brought back the boys of Ain’t No Daisy to talk about music and the Yankees. .
Episode 9 of the Podcast is here. This is arguably our best podcast to date. We talked about the idiot who climbed Trump Tower, talked about the Olympics, and an interesting question about celebrities: Would you want to be an A list celebrity or the friend of one / B lister? For me, I’m choosing the B list. I still get all of the perks, but I get less paparazzi. Sounds like a good deal to me.
Episode 8 is here, live from “The Basement” of LordTreeSap. No producer Jimmy this week, so the sonic game is not A1. DG and LordTreeSap held it down in his absence, though. Give us a listen as we talk Arthur memes, Blackjack, DJ Khaled and the NFL, as training camp is in full swing.
This week on The Daily Mix Report we're joined by the one and only Yorktown band Ain't No Daisy!
Pokemon Go Takeover including a great story about how LordTreeSap entered a Pokemon tournament as a kid. Other topics include drinks to buy a first date as well how to become a guest on the podcast. Enjoy.
During this episode the gang breaks down NBA free agency, UFC 200’s debacle, and gives an update on the journey to making Murphy’s great again and much more. Check it out!
I know what you’re thinking. We didn’t skip over Episode 4. We recorded it, but it was all over the place. Between dogs barking and technical difficulties, we decided to not release it at this time. One day, we’ll post it, but for now, enjoy the usual shenanigans from your favorite team of podcasters. Game of Thrones, Pizza, and OJ Simpson. Enjoy.
Episode 2 of The Daily Mix Podcast. We're talking NBA Finals and Harambe,
The first installation of the Daily Mix Podcast is finally here! DG, LordTreeSap, and Big Jim talk about the NBA Playoffs, Natty Light, and how to make local bars great again. Enjoy.
